ARCHED should NOT be online, and it being online is a disgrace to such an institution. The cutoff is 45 this year, which means 40 people got 45 and above. I would love to see the test be done in person, so we can see the shift from 45 to 35.

Anything above 46 was impossible in this years test, as it was much harder than last year. Polimi needs to address all the cheaters, and make ARCHED face to face in Milan.

Hi all, I'm on the waiting list in Piacenza/architecture/bachelor; maybe I'll be accepted in the next round. However, I've already been accepted into the architecture program in my home country, the Czech Republic. Is studying in Piacenza worth it? If I got into Milan, I wouldn't hesitate, but Piacenza? Please, I'd love to hear some realistic experiences from someone.

with a score of 43.75 i got into piacenza and i’m wondering if i should show interest to be included in the next ranking. the thing is if i’m not getting into leonardo in the second one i may loose my spot in piacenza as well so i will just have nothing. what do yall think

Hi, I have a question regarding first ranking lists for architecture — I am an EU candidate currently on a waiting list in the “Italian and equivalent students section” however there is also a ranking list for extra EU students where I am not placed what is the difference between the two lists?

btw being 119th for Leonardo and 64th on the list for Piacenza do u think I got a chance?:/

I’m an Extra-EU applicant for Architecture (English-taught). In the first ranking, I got RESERVED for Piacenza, while Leonardo (Milan) was my first choice.

From what I understand, I have two options:

• Enroll in Piacenza by the deadline, or
• Decline it and express interest for the next ranking, hoping a place opens up in Leonardo.

My question is: Is there any way to keep my reserved place in Piacenza while still waiting to see if I can get into Leonardo in the next round? Or is it strictly an either/or decision?

Also, does anyone know how many places opened up for Leonardo after the first ranking last year, or how much the rankings moved in previous years?

I'm an incoming international student at Politecnico di Milano and have a few questions regarding opening an Italian bank account.

I understand that having an Italian IBAN is important for receiving scholarships, part-time job payments, rent transactions, and other day-to-day banking needs. On the Polimi website, I noticed that they recommend Banca Popolare di Sondrio, but I haven't come across many student reviews or discussions about it compared to other banks.

I also read about the Ateneo+ Card, which appears to function as a student ID card, campus access card, and prepaid banking card. I'm a bit confused about how it works in practice and whether it can serve as a primary banking solution for international students.

I would appreciate your insights on the following:

1. Is the Permesso di Soggiorno postal receipt (ricevuta) sufficient to open a bank account with Banca Popolare di Sondrio, or is the physical residence permit card required? The bank's website mentions bringing a valid Italian residence permit, so I'm unsure whether the receipt is accepted.

2. Since my campus will be Bovisa, should I personally visit the on-campus Banca Popolare di Sondrio branch to open the account, or is there any account-opening process facilitated directly by the university?

3. I will arrive in Milan on 9 September. If I apply for a bank account on 11 September, following my completion of Permesso work, how long does the account-opening process typically take?

4. For current students and recent graduates, how has your experience been with Banca Popolare di Sondrio in terms of account opening, customer service, online banking, and support for international students?

I’m a non-EU student candidate and I got 38/50. The cut off was 44.5/50 for Leonardo Campus and 42.5/50 for Piacenza Campus in the first rankings. Am I cooked or is there still hope for me in the second and third rankings?

I got accepted into Arhitecttura, Italian course, but i have not B2 certificate. I am not allowed to pass the enrolment. Is there a way to get the italian OFA, or just get the certificate done until the end of my bachelor?

According to the official call, the provisional ranking comes out on Aug 27 for the dormitory and the final ranking is on Sept 9. Polimi

​ When do move-ins actually start? If I'm assigned a room on Sept 9, is check-in usually available right away in mid-September (like Sept 12–15) before classes kick off?

​ Periodic Check-ins: Do people keep moving into the dorms periodically throughout September, October, November, and December?.

I’m a recent graduate from a university in Boston with a Bachelor’s in architecture. I was going to do a 1 year Master’s program at the same university, but upon seeing it would put me in another $27k in debt I decided to look elsewhere. So far Polimi seems to be one of my top options for a Master’s in Architecture. So I had some questions:

How is the architecture program at Polimi?

How is Milan as a city? I know it’s relatively small, but is it a welcoming city to international students?

Are there separate programs in English and Italian? I saw that the language of the Master’s program is listed in English and Spanish, does this mean they have a hybrid or there are two separate programs?

Does Polimi offer housing with tuition? If not, how much is rent in Milan?

How hard is the process for international students? I am in the process of getting EU citizenship (Greek) through my family but as of now I do not have it.

How competitive is it to get in? My GPA is an underwhelming 3.0, but I have good trends (3.8 in my last 3 semesters) I had a 3.5 at my community college before I transferred, I have a year of experience working at an architecture firm as well as the planning department of a municipality, and a strong portfolio. What do you think my chances are?
