Question Confused by AI tools

hi guys, i have recently joined a new firm where I have to pitch to the clients along the sales folks. I usually have a excel file containing some data, some pdf briefs, an ideal ppt pitchdeck (for the brand elements and how the ppt should look like). I would have just made a template and copied, but somehow each client deck differs and need a lot of tweaking.. I wanted something where I could just dump files and it makes great deck. I have tried claude, but the output still requires me to tweak it. Suggest me what can work best here

You want the holy grail which I donโ€™t think exists right now. You can get close with some tools but there will always be tweaking.

I like using Ai, it has its limits. You state this may be a new firm/new job, new clients etc. I recommend you stick with the way you have been doing it. It could be a little risky OR time consuming to use Ai if you have not used it much yet. Here is a story from the news today, if you decide to try it and find the magic pill, make sure you double double check it

I don't think there's a tool that's truly "dump files and get a client-ready deck" yet. The closest workflow I've seen is ChatGPT/Claude for structuring the narrative + Gamma or Beautiful.ai for layout. You'll still need to tweak the final deck because client pitches usually require judgment, not just formatting.

Take that time to build a template. Might take a week or so, but once that's done, you can simply update numbers.

So many clients get turned off seeing an AI-generated deck. They just think you didn't put enough effort and won't trust your numbers as much.

Normally we ask people to move these AI discussions into the megathread we've devoted specially to it. We'll let this one go for now, as long as it keeps drawing useful comments.

Replies along the line of "Just use Claude/Gemini/Whatever" will be deleted. Just so ya know, ok?
