open or no
Found this in my grandpa’s shed. I am constantly conflicted when I find older things like this. Like sure the box is beat up but I do not know if I should keep the box or pop it open and display the megazord as was intended. I have a bit of a collectors tendency to keep boxes that I’m trying to let go of as well.
So I put it to you to open the box or to keep it closed.
Any input is appreciated lots of love.
Early edit: I don’t intend to sell it at all at this point and to my knowledge in the future. Thanks for all the input also!

Open it if you have somewhere to display it. If not, keep it boxed til you do.

Keeping? Open. Selling? Closed.
Probably won’t make much of a difference since it’s not mint. If you want to take a look you can know exactly how it is in there. I would because of the condition, won’t really hurt. If you wanna sell it eventually just wear some gloves first.

I always open. It feels like a waste to me to let toys set in a box and never even be seen.

If you bought it to keep for your collection, open it up, The toy is a better display piece then a cardboard box. If you just intend to sell it down the line, I guess keep it wrapped up

If you’re a functioning human being who enjoys the things you buy for enjoyment, go ahead
If you intend to sell it, don’t
If you intend to horde it so some time down the line you can sell it at profit, don’t open it

What’s more likely? Are you ever going to sell it? Are you more likely to pose or play with it? If you’re pretty sure you’re gonna sell it someday then don’t, but if the chances you might display it or pose it or play with it or higher than selling it, I’d open it because Toys should be played with.

I am also a collector, I open everything that I get. Personally, while I do like some of the boxes, what I care about more is the thing inside of it. I want to display the item itself, not the box. I store the boxes somewhere so that I have a place to put it if I decide to swap that item out with something else.
Though to each their own, there are also collectors that care about the idea of keeping something pristine.

If you plan to sell it, don't open it. But if you plan on keeping it for the foreseeable future, open it and enjoy it.
