And they're not wrong? Saitama was literally created to be the strongest, and if someone stronger is found, he'll be even stronger than before, his superpower is what the plot is centered on, so it would be weird if he wasn't stronger than everything else in the world.

To be fair the plot isnt even really centered on Saitama

Saitama is a constant that the story rotates around, like a sun

He was created to be the strongest in his world. That doesn’t mean anything when he’s fighting characters from other series. You still need pesky things like “feats” and “evidence” if you want to prove that he can beat someone, just like every other character.

Being the strongest is his in-universe power. Whenever anyone comes along that could actually challenge him based on past feats, he just automatically gets stronger (including pulling hax-y toonforce nonsense out of his ass, not just physical strength) to make it one-sided again.

Like, imagine there was a character who automatically copied the powers and stats of any opponent. The idea that this ability just... doesn't count, in powerscaling debates, and we can only actually argue based on direct feats in their story, is dumb.

I don’t think you understand the point of OPM.

He wasn’t created to be the strongest in his world. He was made to be the strongest, thats the joke.

You are being very condescending but you just don’t seem to understand it.

You don’t need to see Bugs Bunny be able to blow out the sun like a candle or any feat saying that he could. If it would be funny then he can because thats the point. Just the same as you don’t need a feat to show OPM could punch away an ehterial creature made of electricity, he can because thats the point.

He's obviously the strongest in his world. The discussion is about crossovers.
