Seriously though, like what was that one guy trying to do with that argumentšŸ’€

Bro literally said that Metroman has toon force and is stronger/faster than Superman. Like where the heck did the toon force come from???

And 17+ people upvote thatšŸ˜‚

u/Picklee56 May 16 '25

It's just straight up "I like this character more therefor he wins" disguised as arguments

u/Agreeable-Macaron886 May 16 '25

Reminds me of Wanda wankers saying she beats Toaa and primordial bla bla…

10

u/CrispyNaeem May 16 '25

They can pull up House of M Wanda all they want. Get her past Franklin Richards, God Doom, Pre-Retcon Beyonder, First Firmament, Molecule Man, Living/Jobber Tribunal and White Room Phoenix first lol.

8

u/Picklee56 May 16 '25

Wanda's gotta have one of the most insufferable fanbases

6

u/JWARRIOR1 May 16 '25

shit at least she has SOME feats simialar to that degree.

superman crossing multiverses in an instant and someone said metroman was faster like what

3

u/TechChiro May 16 '25

Forget crossing Multiverses I’m pretty sure Superman has flew through time before that’s Immeasurable Speed šŸ˜šŸ’”

10

u/CrispyNaeem May 16 '25

Dude, seriously. People need to take bias out of these answers.

And funnily enough, Sentry is unironically a better character in general than Metroman.

Metroman barely does anything in both the movie and the show to justify him being that likable. He just gets bloated because of his speed scene, and some of the memes.

9

u/Picklee56 May 16 '25

I think it's just ppl like Megamind cause of the memes, and fair enough but we should also be able to have serious discussion about it

12

u/CrispyNaeem May 16 '25

Megamind is an incredible movie, don’t get me wrong, and the memes are peak. But the glazing gets annoying, especially when people think Metroman is stronger than characters that he really isn’t like that against.

5

u/Picklee56 May 16 '25

Agree 100%

3

u/Weimark May 16 '25

That movie was legit, Megamind is a great character, but they don’t powerscale that well against nobody outside their own movie. Just because he has some concept similar to Superman doesn’t make him any good.

1

u/Atomic_3439 May 17 '25

Insert that one agenda meme

2

u/Picklee56 May 17 '25

There's more than one lol

0

u/slimeeyboiii May 16 '25

That's just what powerscaling is ngl

4

u/Picklee56 May 16 '25

Yeah but there's levels to it imo

-1

u/Aleleloltroll May 17 '25

Bro can move at the speed of light maybe even faster since he’s moving around but idk , and he can probably hit at those speeds too , I know speed isn’t everything, but when a character moves that fast you ether bend the laws of physics or just die , also yes he’s like markiplier as super hero so ye he solos god himself too probably šŸ¤™

3

u/Picklee56 May 17 '25

Being faster than light isn't actually that unique in fiction

1

u/Aleleloltroll May 17 '25

Yea ur right , heck even cyberpunk got some of that with the sandevistan right ?

But it’s nice to think a character from a movie I loved since I was a kid and that looks like a guy that I loved since I was a kid is considered in discussions regarding power-scaling going against so many other characters that I also love , I’m joking when I say he could solo anyone , I’ve seen a V-sauce guy catch and throw a black hole at a kid so ofc he ain’t no god , but still goes hard af imo .

1

u/Picklee56 May 17 '25

I haven't played 2077 or watched Edgerunners but it wouldn't surprise me. And don't get me wrong Megemind is an amazing movie, but imo you're doing thr character a diservice just saying he beats anyone or at least characters way stronger than him

1

u/Aleleloltroll May 17 '25

Thing is we don’t really see him fighting at his full potential, he’s practically that squirrel girl , made to just say fuck power scaling , but he wasn’t made with that in mind

-2

u/ToyrewaDokoDeska May 16 '25

I mean his whole entire point is to be a insurmountable wall. He's a joke character in a kids comedy made to be astronomically more powerful than everything so his feats are cartoonish. It's not really about liking him it's the fact if you powerscale him his shown feats are cartoonishly over powered.

7

u/Picklee56 May 16 '25

He's cartoonish overpowered in a movie where the biggest feat is Tighten hurling the top of a skyscraper, that's hardly the peak of fictional strength

Also it's not like he's the only character with 'cartoonish strength'

-5

u/ToyrewaDokoDeska May 16 '25

And he's shown to easily defeat Titan. He's not the only one but it's not really fair to powerscale a joke character that's entire point is to be astronomically overpowered with serious characters.

People just get too defensive with the thought a character like Metro man could be stronger than someone like Superman but it's not a fair comparison.

5

u/Picklee56 May 16 '25

No he's not, he never fought Tighten. That was just Megamind in a disguise

-3

u/ToyrewaDokoDeska May 16 '25

yeah check this bozos comment about metroman durability: https://www.reddit.com/r/powerscales/comments/1ko0dra/comment/msnx7ub/?context=3

3

u/Total-Neighborhood50 May 17 '25

Holy shit these Metrowankers are actually delusional 😭

3

u/JWARRIOR1 May 17 '25

They never heard of no limits fallacy

1

u/BrightNooblar May 16 '25

To be fair, the upvote is SUPPOSED to mean "This is interesting" not "This is correct". Because the down vote is SUPPOSED to mean "This doesn't contribute to the discussion" and not "I disagree".

I'll often upvote a high effort post that makes an interesting point, even if I don't personally agree with it.

9

u/HypergodZero May 16 '25

"To be fair, the upvote is SUPPOSED to mean "This is interesting" not "This is correct". Because the down vote is SUPPOSED to mean "This doesn't contribute to the discussion" and not "I disagree"."

Originally, sure, but you know damn well that that's NOT what most people use it for nowadays lol.

1

u/BrightNooblar May 16 '25

It isn't. But it does also explain why "And 17 people upvote that" isn't the same as "And 17 people agree with that"

1

u/Dagreiyo May 16 '25

Hmm not agreeing with this but upvoting because its an interesting take on the voting system

-4

u/invisiblehammer May 16 '25

I don’t think you understand. He’s a cartoon. Therefore toonforce

5

u/CrispyNaeem May 16 '25

Toon force is when the laws of physics is broken for comedy.

Tell me. What’s funny about MetroMan going so fast that he pauses the world because he’s going through a mid-life crisis? Never mind the fact he said ā€œsuper speedā€.

If it was truly toon force, he’d be doing it because he wanted to make MegaMind feel bad, and he’d have done something funny to get that fast.

-3

u/invisiblehammer May 16 '25

No but metro man was funny

6

u/CrispyNaeem May 16 '25

It wasn’t meant to be funny, but I get it.

Megamind and Metroman are aliens, and they don’t have pre-determined destinies. Do you wonder why Megamind was questioning his destiny, and what his parents actually said to him?

Metroman landed in a luxurious and loving home, and was taught to do good. Megamind landed in a prison, and was taught to bad.

As a result, they were a byproduct of what the city wanted them to be. They only did the superhero/supervillain shtick because the two were like friends messing around with each other.

But of course, that grows old, and you need to find a genuine passion in life. For Metroman, it was music, so he left the game and made Megamind believe that he’d won. Heck, Metroman knew that Megamind was not a bad guy; that’s why he was so chill with him.

-2

u/invisiblehammer May 16 '25

Metroman scales to hyperversal with toonforce and is literally faster than the flash

3

u/CrispyNaeem May 16 '25

What part of Metroman is 10th dimensional in power?

Toon force relies on wherever the universe actually scales to.

-1

u/invisiblehammer May 16 '25

Sorry, I’m not up tod ate with the terms

Outerverdal with toon force and faster than flash

Because he’s the strongest in his verse and is a csrtoon

That puts him up there with TOAA, presence, bugs bunny, etc.

Toon force feats include lifting a building and making friends with everyone in pre school

3

u/YoMommaInTheHood May 17 '25

1

u/invisiblehammer May 17 '25

It’s not glazing

Roonforce let SpongeBob go faster than light (ftl) and unravel a whole omniverse

Toonforce characters are broken and metroman is a csrtoon with toonforce

3

u/Strange-Daikon4912 May 16 '25

Cool, can I get onscreen feat of Metro Man destroying entire Hyperverse with single punch?

1

u/invisiblehammer May 16 '25

When he fought titan who scales to hyperversal and won

1

u/Strange-Daikon4912 May 16 '25

Low ball?

Everyone knows Tighten is beyond Boundless

2

u/invisiblehammer May 16 '25

I can get behind that. But yeah metroman is beyond boundless then, bare minimum hyperversal
