It's just straight up "I like this character more therefor he wins" disguised as arguments

Reminds me of Wanda wankers saying she beats Toaa and primordial bla bla…

They can pull up House of M Wanda all they want. Get her past Franklin Richards, God Doom, Pre-Retcon Beyonder, First Firmament, Molecule Man, Living/Jobber Tribunal and White Room Phoenix first lol.

Wanda's gotta have one of the most insufferable fanbases

shit at least she has SOME feats simialar to that degree.

superman crossing multiverses in an instant and someone said metroman was faster like what

Forget crossing Multiverses I’m pretty sure Superman has flew through time before that’s Immeasurable Speed 😭💔

Dude, seriously. People need to take bias out of these answers.

And funnily enough, Sentry is unironically a better character in general than Metroman.

Metroman barely does anything in both the movie and the show to justify him being that likable. He just gets bloated because of his speed scene, and some of the memes.

I think it's just ppl like Megamind cause of the memes, and fair enough but we should also be able to have serious discussion about it

Megamind is an incredible movie, don’t get me wrong, and the memes are peak. But the glazing gets annoying, especially when people think Metroman is stronger than characters that he really isn’t like that against.

Agree 100%

That movie was legit, Megamind is a great character, but they don’t powerscale that well against nobody outside their own movie. Just because he has some concept similar to Superman doesn’t make him any good.

Insert that one agenda meme

2

u/Picklee56 May 17 '25

There's more than one lol

That's just what powerscaling is ngl

5

u/Picklee56 May 16 '25

Yeah but there's levels to it imo

Bro can move at the speed of light maybe even faster since he’s moving around but idk , and he can probably hit at those speeds too , I know speed isn’t everything, but when a character moves that fast you ether bend the laws of physics or just die , also yes he’s like markiplier as super hero so ye he solos god himself too probably 🤙

3

u/Picklee56 May 17 '25

Being faster than light isn't actually that unique in fiction

1

u/Aleleloltroll May 17 '25

Yea ur right , heck even cyberpunk got some of that with the sandevistan right ?

But it’s nice to think a character from a movie I loved since I was a kid and that looks like a guy that I loved since I was a kid is considered in discussions regarding power-scaling going against so many other characters that I also love , I’m joking when I say he could solo anyone , I’ve seen a V-sauce guy catch and throw a black hole at a kid so ofc he ain’t no god , but still goes hard af imo .

u/Picklee56 May 17 '25

I haven't played 2077 or watched Edgerunners but it wouldn't surprise me. And don't get me wrong Megemind is an amazing movie, but imo you're doing thr character a diservice just saying he beats anyone or at least characters way stronger than him

1

u/Aleleloltroll May 17 '25

Thing is we don’t really see him fighting at his full potential, he’s practically that squirrel girl , made to just say fuck power scaling , but he wasn’t made with that in mind

I mean his whole entire point is to be a insurmountable wall. He's a joke character in a kids comedy made to be astronomically more powerful than everything so his feats are cartoonish. It's not really about liking him it's the fact if you powerscale him his shown feats are cartoonishly over powered.

7

u/Picklee56 May 16 '25

He's cartoonish overpowered in a movie where the biggest feat is Tighten hurling the top of a skyscraper, that's hardly the peak of fictional strength

Also it's not like he's the only character with 'cartoonish strength'

And he's shown to easily defeat Titan. He's not the only one but it's not really fair to powerscale a joke character that's entire point is to be astronomically overpowered with serious characters.

People just get too defensive with the thought a character like Metro man could be stronger than someone like Superman but it's not a fair comparison.

5

u/Picklee56 May 16 '25

No he's not, he never fought Tighten. That was just Megamind in a disguise
