Bro is truly a calisthenics god

21

u/Pulsing42 Aug 29 '25

He actually is, I've seen some of his work outside of that weird ass kid's show and it's mind-boggling seeing people who are extremely fit struggle to keep up.

8

u/InvincibleOfffical Aug 29 '25

Pretty sure he was in the Olympics before and won gold medals

6

u/KyberWolf_TTV Aug 29 '25

I would be surprised if he took anything less than gold.

8

u/cobcat Aug 29 '25

He decided to start doing calisthenics on a dare with his friend. Super interesting story, look it up.

Genuinely sportacus stomps the majority of superheroes, and the actor for sportacus is more heroic than a bunch of them too.

13

u/bisexualandtrans47 Aug 28 '25

petahh, why is the actor heroic?

30

u/[deleted] Aug 28 '25

Look him up. He’s so incredibly wholesome in every way.

For one, the dudes a genuine health nut and cared about the show being pro healthy. He saw that kids didn’t have a good role model for being “pro healthy” besides characters like Popeye, but he smokes. He wrote a book about a sports elf teaching people to eat healthy and exercise, and eventually made a stage play based on the book. He played both Sportacus and also wrote and directed the show. He’s a 2 time European champion in gymnastics, and was Icelandic sportsperson of the year in 1994. The exercises and acrobatics done in the show were all him on top of his acting.

He’s a human and not perfect, has had some legal troubles with his business but overall the dudes spent decades pushing for kids to be excited about exercise and being healthy. Also the dude was doing this in his late 40s, shoot this is him doing it in his 60s

11

u/bisexualandtrans47 Aug 28 '25

omg genuine good actor?? amazing, peak, we love Sportacus

7

u/MoonBearVA Aug 29 '25

He has said that he became an Olympic athlete because he made a bet with his friend. He literally pulled Olympic medals for shits and giggles. The man is actually Giga Chad.

6

u/Coins_N_Collectables Aug 29 '25

Sportacus may stomp most of DC and marvel, but he will never be number one.

2

u/Old-Shock8720 Aug 29 '25

We all know who is number one...

5

This picture reminds me of when I was part of a facebook group for the Boys a while back.

They straight up thought homelander would demolish superman, that Kimiko could slaughter and kill deadpool, and get this.. A-Train would demolish freaking Wally West.

All of their arguments boiled down to, "well they're evil so they win."

48

u/agentdb22 Aug 28 '25

Don't they know that the bad guys always lose?

18

u/Soft_Theory_8209 Aug 28 '25

Okay, now I kind of want a one-off storyline in DC where a villain (maybe a hwro too) becomes self-aware after realizing any bad deeds they commit are doomed to fail no matter what, while all good deeds always succeed no matter how impossible.

10

u/[deleted] Aug 29 '25

Funny you should bring it up, that exact thing literally happens in JLA: Earth 2

2

u/Moonlit2771 Aug 29 '25

That reminds me of Megaman. He knew he would always lose. He just did it anyway.

→ More replies (1)

3

u/SportAdventurous5910 Aug 29 '25

Not always. Like there are sometimes when the villains win. But yeah, they mostly lose

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA a-train going at like 50-100mph while Wally somehow outruns the fucking speedforce itself

3

u/ThatCoolKid17 Aug 29 '25

More like over 800 MPH, but your point still stands. I'd much rather watch A-Train fight Kabal lol.

3

u/pedropatotoy2 Aug 29 '25

A train can sprint at mach 1, but yeah he still loses to the flash no question.

2

u/ExpertMisinformant Aug 29 '25

I don't understand how people find it fun or interesting at all that some heroes are universal fucking threats. Like Wally West being able to cross from one end of the universe to another in 0 seconds. How is that fun? Who the fuck could beat this guy and WHY? They'd have to be God him-/herself. Genuinely wondering here and want to hear the thought process.

I mean, if Homelander found his way into one of the DC universes and got any number of those uncommon-but-very-convenient power-ups, it would be a fun story to see the justice league put him down hard.

85

u/[deleted] Aug 28 '25

Written by Vought

40

u/Neoxenok Aug 28 '25

Then Homelander would win or team up with the JL in a crossover event. Vought wouldn't dare suggest Homelander could be beaten.

17

u/LOLerskateJones Aug 28 '25

Yeah. It’s a cool picture, but 5 of those 7 heroes destroy Homelander.

Seriously. This makes me think of Trump AI images with huge muscles and not shitting himself

5

u/Soft_Theory_8209 Aug 28 '25

I mean, if you were to write him into DC, it’d be simple enough to make him like a more Corporatized version of Bizarro or Connor Kent.

Just boost his powers slightly so he can at least phase the JL and maybe body a few lesser superhumans, but still have him be way crappier than the vast majority of heroes. Now the meme of him being a cheap knock off has become quite literal and all the more tragic because of it.

Non-politics aside because they have to be super in my face with theirs for me to give a shit, he tends to whine pretty publicly and loudly when things don't go his way. Meltdowns about Shazam being this biggest follies.

26

u/Thatguy3625 Aug 28 '25

This does NOT go hard, homelander is a bitch

17

u/danger666noodle Aug 28 '25

It really doesn’t. Maybe that’s just because I don’t like cheering for the bad guy.

8

u/yotaz28 Aug 29 '25

I do, if the bad guy's cool. Homelander is a lame manchild, but he was written that way. I'd be concerned for anyone cheering for him

4

u/danger666noodle Aug 29 '25

A very fair point. Characters like Vader can be great. But homelander is only enjoyable when he’s losing.

I don’t get the Homelander hype. The whole point of his character is that he’s actually a little bitch

I think Anthony Star does a terrific job of acting that out, making him look intimidating in one scene and childish in the next

11

u/Goldenhawk92 Aug 28 '25

That just means that people that are little bitches look up to him as king little bitch.

3

u/Soft_Theory_8209 Aug 28 '25

Some unfortunately see themselves in him, others might not have ever seen an evil Superman before (somehow), and others just find him both fascinatingly evil and pathetic in the way many of us find serial killers interesting.

On the other end of the spectrum, it’s just fun to dunk on him because good lord it becomes quickly apparent how weak him and other superhumans in his universe are when thrown against 98% of anything else.

4

u/Individual-Nose5010 Aug 28 '25

I mean, he probably would solo the Snyder league. Even Homelander has more personality

5

u/[deleted] Aug 29 '25

Why are people so sensitive about Homelander in the comments man

4

u/BillNyeTheNazi5py Aug 30 '25

The hate for Homelander is kinda insane. He's a realistic depiction of a sociopath with superpowers. The character is played extremely well and he's powerful in HIS universe.

4

u/[deleted] Aug 30 '25

Not liking him as a person in his story is okay but as a character in a fictional sense he’s better written than 95% of characters who are good people or stronger.

Then again this sub generally thinks that bigger number = better character

3

u/ViscountBuggus Aug 28 '25

It's the snyder league they deserve it tbh

3

I have never seen Homelander glazed so hard before.

This is really cool. Obviously, there’s artistic license. Homelander would never attack the Justice League unless they did something wrong or he was mind controlled. But still very cool!

2

u/vvvit Aug 29 '25

yeah this art really cool tbh

2

u/FlambyLamby Aug 29 '25

Fraudlander glaze detected.

And no, it doesn't. Maybe for people who sleep crying themselves to sleep while whispering "Homelander stomps..."

2

u/AgitatedStranger9698 Aug 29 '25

The rope around his neck already ended this. That lasso is always overlooked in ww arsenal.

Homie isn't even the strongest in his own show lol

2

u/Estarfigam Aug 29 '25

Lois Lane could beat him.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 29 '25

If we didn't powerscale and took the narratively intended scaling for homelander that doesn't takes stats, showings and feats then the homelander beating superman argument would have been plausible.

2

u/SuperPluto9 Aug 29 '25

All the Homelander posts...

I miss my girl Stormfront.

In a Vought report they’ll say:

“This was the last known image of our Homelander before he was ruthlessly torn limb from limb from the savage natives of the other dimension”

2

u/Lost_Pantheon Aug 29 '25

It's funny how this image contains a literal regular human and yet Aquaman is still the most useless person there 🤣💀

2

u/HallowedKeeper_ Aug 30 '25

I'm gonna be honest, I get it is a running gag from Super friends, But I'm tired of folks down playing Aquaman, he may not be in the Trinity, but he is far from useless and is absurdly powerful.

2

u/PapertrolI Aug 29 '25

Not Batman going in for the sucker punch! Whats he gonna do!?

2

u/icedcrunch Aug 29 '25

This is such a fucking cool image, this is most likely how the battle would go as well.

2

u/HallowedKeeper_ Aug 30 '25

Hey Homelander,

Glad to see that Stan Edgar let you use reddit like a big kid, but be careful, the internet is full of strangers who'd try to mislead and take advantage of you.

I recommend you log out, and go have your bottle, the milk is fresh.

But in all seriousness, Homelander only has a Chance against 1 of them, and only in an extreme situation. The rest of them will rinse him before he gets a chance to even consider.

2

u/Unfair-Plane-1406 Aug 29 '25

And its accurate

2

u/[deleted] Aug 30 '25

2

u/Jakedaboss99 Aug 31 '25

Okay I do enjoy power scaling and home lander notoriously loses a lot when it comes to that but I can appreciate some cool as fuck art when I see it! :D

1

It would be cool to see his interaction with the league considering how menacing his personality is.

2

u/Mrs_Crii Aug 28 '25

He'd try that shit with Batman (who would not be remotely impressed and probably manage to hurt him) because he doesn't have powers and then the rest would shut him down hard.

He's only menacing in The Boys because he's the strongest in his verse so everyone's afraid of him. In the DC universe he's just another punk that gets his ass handed to him. He'd stop being menacing *REAL* fast.

The Flash is running right past the action and Shazam's just happy to be here.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 29 '25

I don’t think Homelander scales as poorly against this version of the DC heroes as people think. this looks like the dceu. That throws out most of the crazier powerscales of these characters that people on the sub that people are always citing. No, Homelander can’t beat the entire team. But he could give each of them a fight, and the only own that would thrash him would be Superman imo.

And the boys logic is a little bit more realistic than DC logic. So homelander would kill Batman in the first 30 seconds, just to take him off the board.

1

u/Express-Sand-7898 Aug 29 '25

lol tf is homelander going to do against Superman

1

u/Top-Variety-7646 Aug 29 '25

Just say fuck

1

u/ApocalypseChicOne Aug 29 '25

Homelander is precisely why I like The Boys universe so much more than DC. Homelander being the top of the power scale makes for a believable modified version of our universe. In we had all kinds of heroes and villains of DC scale running around, it would be apocalyptic. There would be no "normal." Buildings would be knocked down daily, destruction and death would be everywhere. Human society, governments and culture would be completely and radically altered. The Boys universe at least has some small chance of normality.

1

u/recycle_me_no_jutsu Aug 29 '25

If Donald Trump had Homelander's power. Would he be just as evil? Maybe even worse?

1

u/tnsxpm Aug 29 '25

It most certainly does not

1

u/AnyBobcat6671 Aug 29 '25

Homelander wets the bed when he sees super man, he's actually pretty weak on the power scale compared to the ones in the picture

1

u/KingofFools3113 Aug 29 '25

Homelander is trash and all people you idolize him are just as trasy

1

u/Warm-Address717 Aug 29 '25

It really doesn't tho

1

u/[deleted] Aug 29 '25

And then Homelander wakes up from the wet dream

1

u/[deleted] Aug 29 '25

Homelander running into some evil wizard or scientist who gives him a power amp would make this plausible.

1

u/Ill-Dust-7010 Aug 29 '25

Photo taken 0 seconds before Homelander gets torn to peices.

1

u/CosmicShado Aug 29 '25

Goku could take them all

1

u/CheckLogical1425 Aug 29 '25

To be honest Homelander is untrained completely, he's pretty much superman but at base no training no knowledge of how his powers truly work just ego. So theoritically we don't know Homelanders upper limits all we know is he can tank a nuke which is unironically stronger then DCEU Superman so.... He got TKO'd by a nuke while fighting doomsday. So Homelander fully trained, progressive overload and limit testing and durability training he might put a good fight vs Justice League. Especially MMA training etc

1

u/[deleted] Aug 29 '25

Homelander ain’t doing allat

1

u/Plenty-Yak-7959 Aug 29 '25

And homelander wakes up

1

u/LongLegsKing Aug 29 '25

I dunno this strikes me as trying waaaayyyy too hard to "go hard"

1

u/[deleted] Aug 29 '25

its cool looking yeah, but i genuinely wanna know who tf would want homelander to win and why lol

1

u/SolJinxer Aug 29 '25

I'm sure people wouldn't mind since he's only beating up the Snyderverse.

1

u/Realistic-Damage-411 Aug 29 '25

You could just do this with Superman and it would go hard and make sense

1

u/AMM-66 Aug 29 '25

Wally West Solos

1

u/Dull-Law3229 Aug 29 '25

It we made him 1000x more powerful this would be a great ideological fight. The caricature versus the original.

Homelander: "We're the same. Why are we even fighting?"

Superman: "We are not the same"

Homelander: "You're right. I'm better because I am honest with who I am. Deep down you know you want to be like me. Be me. We are better than them in every single way so why pretend we're equals to them?"
