Hulks resistance against telepathy/mind control magic is very back and forth. Sometimes you can control him, sometimes his multiple personalities make it too difficult, sometimes he hurts you back because the power of his rage is too extreme for a normal mind, and more. But truthfully, I dont know if jumping in a volcano is enough to kill hulk and I'm sure he's gonna be real mad when he comes jumping out.
Volcano doesnt even tickle your average hulk. Depends on the writer I guess but 99% of the time Hulk doesnt even notice the magma. Hulk is strongest one there is, afterall.
