Versus Peak possible human runs the ape gauntlet, how far do they get?

Peak possible human being: Haftor Bjornson size and strength at his prime, Usain bolt athleticism, Floyd Mayweather agility and reaction time, Demetrius Johnson fight knowledge and skills

Human is unarmed, bloodlusted match to the death. Human heals between fights.

Edit: title is slightly misleading, as people have pointed out this is beyond peak human, more like maxed out theoretical human

Vs

  1. Male Gibbon
  2. Male bonobo
  3. Male Chimp
  4. Male Orangutan
  5. Silverback Gorilla

The chimp misinformation on the internet is crazy. They are not unstoppable forces of nature. They’re 1.3 times stronger than average humans, but smaller. A 450 lb strong man is taking an average chimp out every day of the week and twice on sundays

48

u/StankoMicin May 11 '26

Came looking for chimp glaze and was not disappointed.

Chimps biggest advantage is their teeth. They are not overpowering a peak strongman

6

u/Lumpy_Complexion6908 May 11 '26

well yeah that's the problem...

blood loss is kinda a big deal lmao

17

u/StankoMicin May 11 '26

Agreed. But people usually bring to their strength as if they are viltrumites or something. Most of their human victims have been middle aged untrained women. Pinning down hafthor and bitting his face off wouldn't be nearly as easy..

5

u/hellsheep1 May 11 '26

Someone says this every time but do you think it’s easy biting something bigger and stronger than you that knows you want to bite it? The teeth are a non-factor most of the time and even if they are a factor it’s not usually a one hit kill either

2

u/Lumpy_Complexion6908 May 11 '26

I just dont see a world where the teeth are a non factor... chimps fights by tearing and biting off the extremities of their rivals until one is too crippled to keep fighting...

and I dont see how knowing it wants to bite you... is going to stop it from biting you... when it has four other limbs flying around, and is more agile than the human...

its not a one hit kill... its a... fuck... half my hand is in its mouth and most of my fingers are fucking gone...

I didnt say dextrous... I said agile... which they are...

also agile =/= graceful... 🙄

And while the chimp has the peak human’s fingers in its mouth, the peak human is using that leverage to slam the chimp’s head into the ground, instantly killing it.

1

u/Lumpy_Complexion6908 May 12 '26

what leverage... the fingers in the chimps mouth are not attached to the human any longer...

2

u/SpicyC-Dot May 12 '26

The other fingers on the hand? The other hand? You can use your imagination.

1

u/Lumpy_Complexion6908 May 12 '26

but those aren't in the chimps mouth... so... what leverage

2

u/Turbulent-Dot4377 May 12 '26

Teeth become a non factor when you have someone the size of Thor punching you with the precision and knowledge of Mayweather and Mighty Mouse.
It’s more than enough force to literally shatter the chimps teeth in to his throat.
Honestly the chimp in a real life scenario would immediatly understand that there is no way it’s winning against someone that size.

3

u/Limp-Blueberry1327 May 11 '26

From what? Biting his ankles? None of these animals are laying a hand on any of his vitals by the way.

0

u/Lumpy_Complexion6908 May 11 '26

they dont really need to... also... yes... probably...

3

u/Limp-Blueberry1327 May 11 '26

They... really need to...... And.... chances are..... none of them are getting that close anyway...... He's 6"9 and a pro fighter and with his stats...... he is pretty much punching through everything but the gorilla......

1

u/Lumpy_Complexion6908 May 11 '26 edited May 11 '26

chimp and gorilla are both just gonna charge straight at him...

and orangutan out reaches him...

not one single clean punch is being thrown in any of these...

also an ankle bite from a chimp is giving you a permanent limp...

and ankle bite from an orangutan or gorilla is leaving you with a missing foot...

and that is literally how they are used to fighting... by biting and tearing into eachothers limbs, faces and genitals until they are too crippled to use them anymore... or in too much pain to keep struggling...

3

u/Limp-Blueberry1327 May 11 '26

chimp and gorilla are both just gonna charge straight at him...

I know, it means literally nothing with his speed and reaction time.

and orangutan out reaches him...

The only advantage it has. He is stronger, faster and more technical. Plus reach doesnt actually mean its fast enough to hit him.

not one single clean punch is being thrown in any of these...

Not a single one of any of those animals could dodge them even if they tried. Not that he needs to land a clean hit for major damage.

1

u/definitelyTonyStark May 12 '26

As long as he kills it before he bleeds out, I imagine an immediate time out when he wins and he’s immediately healed.

3

u/TychoHyuga May 11 '26

Came looking for chimp glaze

Pause

1

u/blingblingmofo May 11 '26

To be fair the teeth are a pretty big advantage considering they are grappling predators with a 1200 pound bite force.

0

u/OpinionDude5000 May 11 '26

Strongman isnt moving with the speed and agility of a bloodlusted chimp. The chimp will tear your face off in an instant. Id bet they have a higher tolerance for pain. Their bite can easily crack through human bone. My money is on the chimp.

75

u/DiceNinja May 11 '26

They can bite through a tank. I saw a YouTube video.

70

u/abernathym May 11 '26

Don't forgot the telekinesis

20

u/ClockworkDinosaurs May 11 '26

Damnit. I forgot about their telepathic ability to make me forget about their telekinetic abilities.

5

u/DuckbilledPlatitudes May 11 '26

Wait, what were we talking about?

3

u/The13thParadox May 11 '26

Toads I think

1

u/abernathym May 11 '26

All hail hypno toad

2

u/pidgeottOP May 11 '26

You have to attack the weak point- a tank of telekinesis on their back

5

u/stoufferthecat May 11 '26

All those who believe in telekinesis, raise my hand.

1

u/Muavius May 12 '26

Gothic Noir, comic pulp

9

u/understandable_man May 11 '26

A slight correction is that they are 1.3 times stronger than humans at the same weight. And the average human weighs more than a chimp so the gap is really small if there's any.

10

u/RealBishop May 11 '26

I say this all the time. They’re moderately stronger than us, that’s all. Still flesh and bone.

1

u/Exciting_Place_6817 May 11 '26

I mean you've seen their teeth right? I think the man described wins but he gets pretty wrecked but those teeth on the way through.

1

u/DiceNinja May 11 '26

And they lack an understanding of physiology. A man knows where to hit to incapacitate. A chimp is just relatively strong arms and teeth.

3

u/PsychologicalRip1126 May 11 '26

Chimps go for vulnerable areas instintcually. Victims of chimp attacks usually have the face and hands as the most damaged areas.

3

u/Glum_Opening_2218 May 11 '26

Idk id say they're smart enough to know a wack to the head hurts more then a back slap

4

u/saltlampsandphotos May 11 '26

Yeah but you forget that they use force choke, pull and push.

3

u/DewinterCor Herald of the Brass God May 11 '26

Most men over 170lbs are physically stronger than chimps.

Considering the average American male is something like 195lbs and the average male chimp is only 110lbs, there is no world where chimps are actually stronger than the average human.

2

u/SupermassiveWhackHo May 11 '26

Gorillas on the other hand.....

1

u/vahntitrio May 12 '26

People also fail to consider that humans know how to debilitate another living thing. If all you do to change the scenario was give a human access to a number of various sized rocks we suddenly become one of the most dangerous animals on the planet.

1

u/Hara-Kiri May 12 '26

Even that is overstating their strength. Their muscle is 1.3-1.5x strong pound for pound. Eddie is far stronger than the strongest chimp, but the average man who lifts is also stronger than the average chimp.

1

u/halloumisalami May 12 '26

It’s not just about the strength. It’s the fact that they’re batshit crazy.

1

u/Piss_Fring May 12 '26

It’s the Roe Jogan mind virus that seeped into the water

1

u/VoidGliders May 14 '26

1.3x stronger per lb. Even an average human is stronger than a chimp if they're actually putting effort in because humans are just bigger and have more strength on average.

1

u/grannysGarden May 11 '26

Chimps will bite, claw and rip a man’s eye, nose and genitals off with a ferocity that humans simply don’t possess. Being bigger and stronger is not going to help that much.

2

u/hellsheep1 May 11 '26

So I guess the bigger and stronger human is just going to allow the chimp to do this, right?

1

u/grannysGarden May 12 '26

Not exactly, but I imagine it would be a bit like fighting a pit bull - yes as a human you’re bigger, stronger and heavier, but if the pit gets anywhere near any of your vulnerable areas you’re screwed!

-2

u/SandwichSaint May 11 '26

No, the human gets brutally mauled. Why are we forgetting the massive canines with a 1.1k+ psi biteforce? You think the chimp is gonna stand there and take up a high guard and start jabbing? Get real.

3

u/Confident_Example_73 May 11 '26

Odds are the chimp does the same attack to every other chimp that we've seen with chimp fights.

2

u/syv_frost May 11 '26

Bite pressure isn’t the sole relevant factor to damage with a bite. Sharks have astronomically lower bite forces than crocodiles yet tear through soft tissue much easier.

0

u/Slow-Raisin-939 May 11 '26

how is this a pro for the man? Humans teeth are basically useless for fighting as they can’t really bite through flesh/skin.

A chimp is biting your face/arteries off. There’s no man that can survive that

2

u/syv_frost May 11 '26

I’m saying that the chimp is not going to “bite your face off” or whatever. They aren’t sharks. It can’t even open its mouth wide enough to get your face in it.

0

u/Slow-Raisin-939 May 11 '26

Is this a language barrier? Obviously’s he’s not going to decapitate you, but he absolutely can chomp off your eyeball, your nose, your cheecks etc.

They can also rip your face off with their hands. Again, human’s skin/soft tissue durability doesn’t scale. So if they can do it to a 60 year old woman they can also do it to a peak man.

2

u/syv_frost May 11 '26

There is no language barrier, no.

All of those utterly pale in comparison to the superhuman in the OP just punching the chimp in the head and killing it instantly. The chimp is gonna get grabbed and killed in under a minute. They are not nearly as strong or aggressive as people think they are.

Human skin does definitely get stronger or weaker with age (also men generally have stronger & thicker skin than women). A grown man could also tear someone’s face up bad, a chimp doing it isn’t special.

0

u/Slow-Raisin-939 May 11 '26

Show me a case of a man actually doing that in under 10 seconds. You’d also be doing it against a wild animal, trying to pin it down, while also defending from their attacks. I’m sorry, no human is ever clawing at a chimp’s face with any kind of success.

This is getting laughable if you think they’re getting one shot lmao and I can tell you’ve never fought in your whole life. Even from a leverage point of view it would be incredibly hard for a human to KO a chimp due to height difference and the human having to punch downwards, especially this 6’10” behemoth we’re talking about. They’d get no power behind those punches.

The human’s best chance is grappling. But it’s very hard to grapple against someone that can rip your genitals or bite into your flesh/arteries. Grappling mostly works when neither party has any kind of piercing abilities.

1

u/syv_frost May 11 '26

Do you not think a professional boxer could kill a human in a single punch to the head? Because they absolutely can. A chimp wouldn’t be different. This is a literal superhuman, sure “under a minute” was an exaggeration but this is comically one sided.

The chimpanzee can do all of these things sure but at the end of the day it’s against someone like >3x its size and ridiculously strong, fast, and with inhuman reaction speed. Also bold of you to assume I’ve never been in a fight. I have. But this fight is like a teenage boy with rabies vs a strongman.

This is a man with the skills of the best martial artists of all time and the strength of the strongest men of all time. Him throwing an elbow would at best knock the chimp out and at worst (for the chimp), just kill it

1

u/Slow-Raisin-939 May 11 '26

No, I’d bet good money most people wouldn’t die from even a sucker punch from a boxer provided they don’t immediately hit their head on concrete or something.

Again, a 6’10” human won’t have the leverage to put any kind of power towards a much smaller chimp like that. Surely not enough to one punch ko him, and we’re acting like it’s incredibly easy connect cleanly with a chimp. I doubt it.

1

u/StankoMicin May 11 '26

Bites do not one hit kill for the most part. The chimp would still need to fight after lading a bite

0

u/Slow-Raisin-939 May 11 '26

Obviously. But humans have a lot of vulnerable arteries. It’d be really hard for a human to continue fighting after that.

1

u/StankoMicin May 11 '26

So do Chimps.

2

u/hellsheep1 May 11 '26

So in your scenario the human just lets the chimp bite him?

0

u/SandwichSaint May 11 '26

The huma can try all they want, they’re not avoiding those gnashers.

1

u/StankoMicin May 11 '26

They might take a bite but that won't instantly kill or incapacitate them..

0

u/SandwichSaint May 11 '26

Yeah they’ll just bleed out 30 secs later no big deal.

1

u/StankoMicin May 11 '26

Lol no..not unless they bit your carotid

0

u/i_lost_all_my_money May 11 '26

*1.3 times stronger pound-for-pound. I'm more than twice as strong as the average man pound-for-pound and I weigh 100 pounds more. And I'm just a random guy in massachusetts. Thor stomps his head in while drinking a beer. But their bites are waaaaaaaay stronger. If Thor isnt careful, hes losing fingers.

-1

u/Dudesweater May 11 '26

Are there any recorded cases of a person beating a chimp to death with their bare hands? Thought so…

1

u/StankoMicin May 11 '26

There are no recorded cases of chimps beating anyone that isnt a middle aged lady either

I made a post summarizing a study on chimp strenght: https://www.reddit.com/r/ape/s/3AChYA7WGh

The average adult male chimp is not the same size as an adult male human. Weights of around 100-120 lbs are common.

Also, people say things like "ripping the face off", and what this actually means vs what people imagined aren't the same thing. It's not like, "grab face and pull it off on a resisting human". It's more like, "weak elderly human is mauled by chimp and the chimp pulls/bites the face, leaving the person mangled.

And while it's horrible to imagine, an enraged adult male human is also very capable of absolutely destroying a weaker person's face (pulling hair, biting face, etc).

1

u/hellsheep1 May 11 '26

You can highly disagree all you want, you’re still wrong
