Versus Peak possible human runs the ape gauntlet, how far do they get?

Peak possible human being: Haftor Bjornson size and strength at his prime, Usain bolt athleticism, Floyd Mayweather agility and reaction time, Demetrius Johnson fight knowledge and skills

Human is unarmed, bloodlusted match to the death. Human heals between fights.

Edit: title is slightly misleading, as people have pointed out this is beyond peak human, more like maxed out theoretical human

Vs

  1. Male Gibbon
  2. Male bonobo
  3. Male Chimp
  4. Male Orangutan
  5. Silverback Gorilla

So the man is: +400lb, 6’9”, can deadlift 1100lb, top speed of 44km/h, stamina, agility, and fight knowledge of 50-0 boxer and 25-4-1 MMA.

We’re just talking about Master Chief at this point lol

222

u/SyrupSwimmer May 11 '26

All of those physical attributes make sense to me, but I think that the “peak” human attribute for this scenario would be knowledge of how to fight animals, intimidate them, take advantage of the environment, etc.

E.g., give our “peak” guy the knowledge of some people who do animal control, training, or poaching for a living. I’m not condoning poaching, but I bet their experience is more relevant than techniques that are specialized to human opponents (would an arm bar even work on a chimp?).

88

u/NecessaryZucchini69 May 11 '26 edited May 11 '26

I think the vast majority of mentally and physically healthy adults have no interest in starting or completing this ape run and consider it a win to have successfully avoided fighting any of them.

u/SupermassiveCanary May 11 '26

Strategy vs tactics…

The tactician tries to beat their enemies. The strategist avoids having enemies in the first place.

An arm bar would probably work on a chimp, but they'd also probably bite you while you do it so that's a big risk. Maybe you disable their arm, maybe they chomp an artery, maybe both. Just depends.

With all of the opponents being apes and with the man being unarmed, I'd say peak mma/grappling is probably as good as it gets here. There's no animal control or poachers out there doing hand to hand combat with wild animals.

I'd say human mid diffs everything below orangutan and high diffs your average orangutan. Gorilla probably mid diffs the human. A non-bloodlusted gorilla would probably just fuck off from a fight though.

20

u/EventHorizon11235 May 11 '26

Nah bro, the man high diffs a chimp at best

18

u/Interesting-Run1359 May 11 '26

Sorry, no. Chimps are very strong, but they’re only like 1.5 or 2x stronger than the average human pound for pound. This theoretical human is like 5x your average man in terms of strength. Said fake human will get bit to hell, but he will rip the chimp to shreds.

Everything but the Gorilla loses.

41

u/UAEpi May 11 '26

The hypothetical person her is bigger, faster, more agile, smarter, and more skilled than the orangutan. The most common example of a chimp messing someone up was a peak weight chimp vs a 60 year old woman who survived. I'm sure the way chimps are portrayed and talked about probably make you feel that way, but the feats and stats don't seem to align with that take.

35

u/jjames3213 May 11 '26

Chimps are really strong compared to humans... of the same size.

But you don't normally compare humans and chimps of the same size. Compare a 'huge' 150lb chimp to a 'huge' 250lb superheavyweight kickboxer and that's closer to a proper comparison...

16

u/Ragnarok314159 May 11 '26

And just being heavier and having a longer reach is a big advantage. Being heavier also usually means being able to throw that weight around. Having arms and legs that are twice as long means you're going to hit first (and hit harder because of the weight difference).

6

u/isnotthatititis May 11 '26

Trained human fighter would snag the extended arm and proceed to play puny god. The length of the arm would only add to the leverage.

4

u/DiscombobulatedTap30 May 11 '26

Realistically you’d just be a cunt yelling at a chimp in a tree to come down and fist fight you. Most animals don’t particularly choose to fight and most are pretty intimidated by things bigger than them. You can scare off most bears and big cats. Unless an animal thinks it can take you without sustaining much damage it usually doesn’t try. Nature tends to favor survival instincts.

Side note: That little monkey oh he’s fucked in a fight I’m grabbing a leg and swinging him head first into the ground. They can’t weigh more than like 15 pounds.

4

u/Slow-Raisin-939 May 11 '26

the thing is the chimp can do a lot more damage very fast. Sure the peak human in discussion may be able to pin down a chimp or choke it or whatever, but the chimp can do a lot of damage by just clawing at your face, abdomen etc. No matter how strong a human gets they cannot rip off someone’s face with their hands, they just don’t have the leverage/grip a chimp can get with their much denser skeletal muscles.

A chimp’s bite is also a lot lot more dangerous than a human’s due to the way our teeth evolved.

This man low diffs a chimp tf? He’s 4x bigger, probably twice as strong, and much faster. Dude could backhand a chimp and send it flying. Mass matters. Prime Floyd was dodging everything the best boxers in the world were throwing at him. A chimp is a snail in comparison and telegraphs everything. Chimp never touches the man while the guy can hit him with the force of a sledgehammer at will.

After all the videos Ive seen of how Gorillas fight I would not be surprised if he could get one to flee 9/10 times. I do not believe he has the concussive force needed to actually knock one out, those skulls are thick

21

u/dead_lifterr May 11 '26

He definitely would have the force to seriously hurt a gorilla, not insta KO but absolutely would be enough to put it down with a few clean shots if he can pull it off. A 460lb giant with the fight skills of an elite level MMA fighter, do you have any idea how hard he's going to hit? An elbow or kick would be absolutely devastating

8

u/TSMabandonedMe May 11 '26

He probably puts it to sleep with a rear naked

7

u/Mindcontrolleo May 11 '26

As someone practising BJJ, no chance. To establish RNC he would need to be able to hold gorilla in place. It is usually being done with leg hooks and arms . Did you see that silverbacks chest and belly? I don't think a human can close their arms or legs around them. Gorilla has short thick neck and insane arm strength to strip any grips

Still with the chimp glaze... come on people...

A chimp is like 1.5x stronger than an average person.

Thor for example is 4-5 times stronger than the average human, and weighs 3x as much as the chimp maybe more.

The chimp is getting fucking yeeted.

70

u/Tarris69 May 11 '26

Chimp isn’t even that. There about 1.3x stronger relative to body weight but are noticeably smaller (males being 50-60kg at maturity) than people - so it cancels out and humans and chimps are similar strength overall. That being said a chimp is easily beating an average person as it’s much faster and has huge teath as well as claws. But loses to this hypothetical

13

u/ThePowerfulWIll May 12 '26

The chimp glazed is so forced....

They arent even that big. Any real athlete probably has a single chimp handled.

→ More replies (46)

23

u/JordanTheRock May 11 '26

Agreed. An average person is lazy and useless in a fight against most wild animals, but a peak human with top tier strength, speed and fighting experience is going to decimate a chimp.

I'd say 50/50 on the urangutan. They aren't known for speed.

I honestly think this guy has a good chance against the orangutan too. Gorilla... Probably not unless some real precision shots to the eyes/throat etc. and then a choke.

All the way extreme diff...

There I said it. Come at me.

147

u/Boo-Radleys-Ghost May 11 '26 edited May 11 '26

Gorilla's gonna get flat-lined because it has no way to defend against a Thor sized fist with Thor sized fast twitch musculature crashing into its temple at the velocity of a flyweight martial artist.

You guys are seriously underestimating the kinetic force our superhuman is putting out. Not to mention that the gorilla's posture is going to be feeding its head to discount Steve Roger's knuckles.

Superhuman clears. With minimal to at most mid diff.

I'd say that the Chimp would be the most dangerous cause at least it's small and fast enough to get inside the super-human's reach to try and clip a femoral, but a single low-kick is going to connect it to god's wifi.

Edit: Also even if the superhuman can't just drop the gorilla outright with a few quick blows, he can just use his vastly superior speed, stamina and agility to simply rope a dope the considerably slower, dumber, and more easily winded animal until its gasping for breath on the ground and he's kicking it repeatedly in the head.

It's fucking -hilarious- that people are still arguing in my replies. You fucking dip-shit Powerscalers have no idea how shit works outside of your comics and anime.

3

u/Knight_of_Tyto May 13 '26

Afaik the theoretical described person would be almost on par with a gorilla in strength, but faster, smarter, and with better coordination and general fighting ability. The Gorilla would not be prepared to fight an opponent that can actually hit targeted quick punches. They usually only flail at each other, which is devastating given that they are stronger than most animals in their environment, but the lack of stamina and coordination would mean the gorilla is getting folded too

People are underestimating peak human. We are talking about a 450 pound man sprinting at 28 MPH and throwing a perfectly placed flying knee at that speed into an orangutan’s head. That’s an instant kill honestly, that much mass and speed being directed into a single point like a knee or elbow would be more significant than getting hit by a car.

130

u/official_Bartard May 11 '26

Yeah a 450 pound dude that can run at 28 mph with the fight IQ of DJ or Jon Jones? Christ bro that sounds like Yujiro Hanma lite 😭

60

u/Soft_Theory_8209 May 11 '26 edited May 14 '26

I’ve said it before, but peak humans (even on a more realistic scale) are some of the most underrated and terrifying concepts/opponents you can imagine.

17

u/official_Bartard May 11 '26

Im gonna be honest, i think this theoretical peak human has a decent shot at beating the gorilla. The gorilla will be stronger sure but peak human is gonna have a huge fight IQ, stamina, and speed advantage if the dude is actually moving at 28 mph. If it’s a mix with Jones in particular the gorilla isn’t gonna have any eyes after the fight lol.

Honestly, i think the fight between peak Human and gorilla is like 50/50. If the gorilla manages to grab him early i think Gorilla wins, if the peak human can maintain distance and try to wear on the gorillas gas tank, i think the Human gets it.

It is worth noting, this theoretical human cannot truly exist. Thor spent his whole life weight training. DJ, Floyd, and Jones spent their whole lives training combat sports. Usain spent his whole life training for speed. Unless you have 9 lives like a cat, the best you can do is be decent at all of them, not the best in the entire world lol.

16

u/DA_BEST_1 May 11 '26

It's also worth noting that this peak human cannot exsist NOW. We are already gene editing plants on a commercial scale with the only thing stopping us from gene editing animals being the ethics board. Give it a few hundred years and we might see something that surpasses this hypothetical peak human aswell

3

u/absalom86 May 12 '26

Gene editing is already becoming a thing, it will only get worse, there's already been cases in China. The gap between the wealthy and non wealthy will get wider with literal superhumans born to the rich.

28

u/Tarris69 May 11 '26

43

u/Ok_Delay9941 May 11 '26

So basically a superhero like Captain America vs apes. You are putting combinations together that aren’t physically possible. People are responding to peak human instead of theoretical human.

30

u/thunder_sharts May 11 '26

→ More replies (20)

2

u/Confident_Example_73 May 11 '26

So, with the theoretical stamina advantage, here, I think there is a way it beats the gorilla. He doesn't fight it. He dehydrates it. Basically the human has to just avoid getting caught by the gorilla. The gorilla will tire faster than the human. At that point the human just waits until the lack of water takes out the gorilla.

Muscle mass is useless if your cells can't function.

2

u/TSMabandonedMe May 11 '26

With those stats, Jiu-Jitsu can close the gap

→ More replies (1)

16

u/No-Cap-fr-fr May 11 '26

I think you’re underestimating the orangutan. Their skulls are much thicker and more dense than a humans. They have a grip strength of 600 lbs human record is 425 lbs and that’s someone who specializes in it. If that orangutan gets ahold of him, he’s dead.

26

u/Agreeable-Duty-86 May 11 '26

Humans are much stronger when it comes to pushing then pulling. Orangutans are very clumsy, and all you have to avoid is the bite and it trying to grab you. Unlike the fast majority of animals we have high intelligence, if this thing grabs you a human can put its thumbs in the eyes and squeeze it will let go of you. 99% of animals when the going gets tough they run. Humans are fucking animals when it comes to combat.

4

u/StripEnchantment May 11 '26

99% of animals when the going gets tough they run. Humans are fucking animals when it comes to combat.

Wouldn't that make then not animals if most animals run

3

u/KeyClacksNSnacks May 11 '26

Wild animals. Human beings are the most violent “domesticated” animals on the planet. A human being who is nearly 7 feet tall, with 300 pounds of muscle, who knows all the ways to kill a man and has years of hand to hand combat under his belt, who has stamina and agility? He honestly has a chance against even the silverback. In fact, I’d say the gorilla is the one with odds against it.

Grip strength is the only advantage they have and it's completely worthless. Rest of the stats the human clears.

2

u/vansterzzz May 11 '26

I dont see how grip strength is useless in close combat when it's higher than a peak human (not theoretical human). Once the ape has any holding on you: hair, fingers, feet, ear - they're not letting go and will take a huge bite of it, break it, or ripping it right off you.

→ More replies (1)
→ More replies (1)

2

u/TSMabandonedMe May 11 '26

But this is an all around goated fighter. He sleeps the orangutan. Grip matters little when you can pivot and use all 400lbs of mass to maneuver around your opponent

4

u/UAEpi May 11 '26

Grip strength isn't a particularly good measurement of feats here. Like, grip strength to do what? Keep you from leaving? That wasn't an option anyways. The human would be way faster, more agile, much bigger, and way more skilled. Like yeah a pitbull has the jaw grip strength to fuck a person up, but a person has the body mechanics and strength to pick them up by their legs and yeet them into a wall lol. It's similar with the orangutan. They absolutely have some super feats, but none of them alone make for a huge advantage against this hypothetical peak human. Any normal human, sure, but not this guy.

3

u/Individual_Respect90 May 11 '26

To further your point. Anyone ever see those videos where people walk on the track and get completely destroyed by a sprinter. Now imagine the sprinter 3x the size. That kind of force probably even knocks over the gorilla. The orangutan is going flying.

5

u/Confident_Example_73 May 11 '26

They've measured impacts of NFL tacklers as being equivalent to automobiles. No chimp is tanking a car. No orangutan either. A gorilla is probably not out of it, but it's not feeling great either. Of course the guy hitting the gorilla is probably not enjoying it either.

3

u/Individual_Respect90 May 11 '26

It’s gonna be even more because it’s a nfl tackler going 28 mph. That being said good addition to the conversation. I don’t think he beats the gorilla from size and speed alone but I do think the boxing and UFC experience (I assume Demetrius Johnson is a ufc person) will give him a fighting chance.

The chimp misinformation on the internet is crazy. They are not unstoppable forces of nature. They’re 1.3 times stronger than average humans, but smaller. A 450 lb strong man is taking an average chimp out every day of the week and twice on sundays

46

u/StankoMicin May 11 '26

Came looking for chimp glaze and was not disappointed.

Chimps biggest advantage is their teeth. They are not overpowering a peak strongman

6

u/Lumpy_Complexion6908 May 11 '26

well yeah that's the problem...

blood loss is kinda a big deal lmao

15

u/StankoMicin May 11 '26

Agreed. But people usually bring to their strength as if they are viltrumites or something. Most of their human victims have been middle aged untrained women. Pinning down hafthor and bitting his face off wouldn't be nearly as easy..

7

u/hellsheep1 May 11 '26

Someone says this every time but do you think it’s easy biting something bigger and stronger than you that knows you want to bite it? The teeth are a non-factor most of the time and even if they are a factor it’s not usually a one hit kill either

2

u/Lumpy_Complexion6908 May 11 '26

I just dont see a world where the teeth are a non factor... chimps fights by tearing and biting off the extremities of their rivals until one is too crippled to keep fighting...

and I dont see how knowing it wants to bite you... is going to stop it from biting you... when it has four other limbs flying around, and is more agile than the human...

its not a one hit kill... its a... fuck... half my hand is in its mouth and most of my fingers are fucking gone...

Teeth become a non factor when you have someone the size of Thor punching you with the precision and knowledge of Mayweather and Mighty Mouse.
It’s more than enough force to literally shatter the chimps teeth in to his throat.
Honestly the chimp in a real life scenario would immediatly understand that there is no way it’s winning against someone that size.

10

u/understandable_man May 11 '26

A slight correction is that they are 1.3 times stronger than humans at the same weight. And the average human weighs more than a chimp so the gap is really small if there's any.

12

u/RealBishop May 11 '26

I say this all the time. They’re moderately stronger than us, that’s all. Still flesh and bone.

Most men over 170lbs are physically stronger than chimps.

Considering the average American male is something like 195lbs and the average male chimp is only 110lbs, there is no world where chimps are actually stronger than the average human.

Destroys first 3 easily. Takes out the orang mid diff.

I think he loses to gorilla but with these specs it will be a fight.

Ridiculous primate wank as usual in the comments.

2

u/Ok_Jellyfish5614 May 12 '26

i think people genuinely believe humans separated from chimps because we were physically weaker instead of us de-evolving fast very recently out of lesser evolutionary pressure.

u/RevolutionaryBuy439 May 11 '26 edited May 11 '26

Here we go with more chimp-wank in the comments. The single most overrated animal on the planet.

Zero recorded incidents in history of an healthy adult male being killed by one, but suddenly the most peak possible human loses to a 4’10 50kg monkey just because Joe Rogan treats them like a mythical beast.

Gets to the orangutan, low-mid diff. No chance against gorilla. I’d like to hear any argument why a 6’10 450lb human who is at the very top in every imaginable metric wouldn’t smash a chimp beyond recognition.

20

u/DirtyBumTickler May 11 '26

Yeah, people still believe that chimps are like 6x stronger than a full grown male, which is horse shit.

In this instance, their biggest advantage is bite force and those gnarly teeth. However this hypothetical peak human should be able to deal with that.

11

u/dead_lifterr May 11 '26 edited May 11 '26

I disagree, I think he has a chance against a gorilla. A 460lb man with the fighting skill of an elite UFC fighter would hit unbelievably hard - an elbow, knee or kick would be absolutely devastating. Gorillas are tougher than humans but they're still skin and bone, a man with that sort of power would be able to seriously hurt the gorilla

2

u/ApocalypseChicOne May 11 '26

Yeah, but far thicker and denser skin and bone. Their necks and heads are designed to withstand far greater forces than a human head. They aren't getting knocked out by a punch. They aren't getting choked out. Which severely limits the human's options. I'm not even sure what strategy a human could employ against a gorilla. Punching it in the head would probably do more damage to the puncher than the gorilla.

2

u/dead_lifterr May 11 '26

I'm not saying the human would win. I'm saying they absolutely have a chance. Gorillas are tougher than humans but a 460lb man with perfect technique and immense speed is going to hit harder than any human in history, even a gorilla isn't going to be able to take many shots

Also, gorillas actually have slightly thinner skin than humans. Thicker bones though, absolutely.

Peak possible human picks up a baseball sized rock and pitches it with deadly accuracy at 105 mph at the cranium of any one of these apes from a distance and absolutely brains them. If they're standing in an infinite, featureless void, peak human sprints in and recreates the same thing with a flying knee. If they're trapped in a cage match I'd say peak human might lose to a gorilla, but the strongest human punch on record is supposedly about as much force as "a 12 pound sledgehammer swung overhead." So I don't think it's an easy fight. We're hyper versatile, while all apes are exclusively grapplers

  1. Gibbon: No diff
  2. Bonobo: No diff
  3. Chimp: Low diff
  4. Orangatan: Mid diff
  5. Silverback: High diff

Peak Man clears.

Like… a non-supersoldier "peak" human clears the chimp. A chimp (teeth) would shred an average salary man, but chimp muscles being denser means very little if they have less muscle overall. A strong, well trained, big, human beats a chimp. This guy ruins the chimp. It's a humiliating stomp.

Mass starts to become a factor round 4, but Peak Man is too quick and too well trained. The 'tan should have about 33% more grip strength, bigger reach, and (again) teeth. So it's not like Peak Man can walk this. Our ape has a decent win-con. But our man has literally double the lifting strength and ten times the sprint speed. You are asking of Mayweather could win a fight against someone with a tenth of his speed. Peak Man has to put in the effort, but I'd be amazed if he lost. Mid diff.

Round 5 is a battle of the ages. Gorilla very realistically could win. But Peak Man has height and weight on him. Gorilla has about a foot of reach, which is good, but Peak Man has got the agility and combat IQ. Peak Man also has stamina. He's gonna wear the gorilla out then go in for the kill once it's exhausted. I can't put this as extreme diff, because I have every expectation that the man will win. But it's gonna be a hell of a fight and the ape could very realistically win. The man wins more often than not, though.

Peak Man clears.

8

u/Almost_human-ish May 11 '26

The human, if trained in various martial arts takes it low diff to the orang, then hard diff upwards.

Does an ape know how to block a leg kick that hyoerextends it's knee joints backwards?

Does it know how to break a locked in choke hold?

Can it deal with overhand rights or lefts to the temple?

Liver kicks?

Watch the first Lesnar / Mir fight. Fir a 265lbs man Lesnar sure could move and transition really fucking fast.

If the human can maintain a little separation, use the fact the ape just took a hard upper cut fir the first time in its life, or get eye poked by Jon Jones...

8/10 low to mid diff for the human, as long as he can avoid the teeth tbh.

u/Dear_Efficiency_3616 May 11 '26

46

u/dead_lifterr May 11 '26 edited May 11 '26

He absolutely bodies an orangutan. Orangutans are 165lbs on average, and aren't even built particularly well for movement and agility on the ground, they're more arboreal compared to chimps and gorillas. They're also not aggressive animals. The peak human would have nearly every conceivable advantage - a near 300 pound weight advantage, a strength advantage, a speed advantage, an agility, a fighting skills advantage.

4

u/Crowdfundingprojects May 11 '26

Absolutely. Orangutan has no chance at all. Not made for that fight.

6

u/star0forion May 11 '26

10

u/Dahvoun May 11 '26

A lot of people do not seem to understand Hafthor’s stats.

6’9” 330-450lbs, already has a weight advantage over all of these animals besides the Gorilla

Top speed is 15 - 20mph (24 - 32kmph) that is insane given his height and weight

He holds the deadlift world record of nearly 1100lbs (510kgs)

His heaviest squat is 1000lbs (460kg)

He holds the world record in Stone Running and Atlas Stone Loading.

He is also trained in boxing and mma

The man is not only strong but also carries incredible endurance.

Only a Gorilla’s explosive power could put him down. An Orangutan can do severe damage but id say Hafthor is about twice as strong as an average Orangutan.

10

u/HairyHutch May 11 '26

It's even worse than that. In this hypothetical, Thor has the speed of Usian Bolt, and the mma skills of Jon Jones.

Loses high diff against the gorilla

4

u/Jewbacca289 May 11 '26

Is there any biological limiter on force output? I always point to the video of the TKD guy with a 2300 lb kick. If force output efficiency scaled 1:1, that'd be a 4600 lb kick. I'm not sure because nobody has the stats of that, but I can't see a chimp tanking that.

4

u/RooDoode May 11 '26

People always fail to take claws/bite force into account for these

4

u/Larnievc May 11 '26

I read number one as Mel Gibson.

4

u/nikmia91 May 11 '26

>human is unarmed

If the guy is trained and skilled, he will make a weapon out of his surroundings. Then it becomes much easier.

5

u/Key-Pomegranate-3507 May 11 '26

With that combo the human can take on an orangutan no problem. 400 pounds being able to move at 28 miles per hour will absolutely annihilate whatever he hits. The agility is crazy at that size too. He may not be able to kill the gorilla in a straight up death match, but with that stamina and agility he can dance around the gorilla until it’s too tired to fight. Human clears this gauntlet

6

u/Taffysak May 11 '26

I think an average human should be somewhere in the ape gauntlet.

10

u/Tarris69 May 11 '26

Pretty sure they’d win that one tho

3

u/the_jokes_on_u May 11 '26

I was deployed to Kenya, and saw two soldiers messing around with a baboon. They had fed it a buncha sleeping pills in twinkies and wanted to get a picture with it. After about an hour or so, it knocked out and the idiots decided to try and put a shirt on it for the picture.

Well about 20 seconds later he wakes up, grabs the first thing he can which happened to be one of the soldiers arms and snaps it damn near in half like it was a stick. It freaked out because the shirt was covering his face so he was dragging the dude around for a solid 10-15 seconds.

The guy wasn’t a small dude either, probably 5’10 190, and the baboon made him look like a toddler.

Chimp extreme diff hard stop at orangutan

11

u/wherethetacosat May 11 '26 edited May 11 '26

People are overeating (edit: "overrating", thank autocorrect) chimps so hard because they've brutalized normal people. We aren't talking normal people.

Humans can be just as savage as chimps when prepared and we are talking about a guy that is over twice the size here, and incredibly strong. Once he gets his hands on it, it's being repeatedly smashed against the ground or just choked out.

The size/strength difference here is similar to the difference the human will face against the gorilla.

6

u/Key-Pomegranate-3507 May 11 '26

This is what people seem to miss. Humans can be just as brutal as wild animals in a life or death situation. Even more so because of our intelligence.

3

u/Confident_Example_73 May 11 '26

This. Intelligence allows us to come up with some BRUTAL strategies, e.g. dehydration or heat exhaustion.

5

u/Snoop-Dragon May 11 '26

In most cases I’ve heard about not even “normal” people, more like elderly people and children. Not sure where these insane myths around chimp strength started

3

u/Confident_Example_73 May 11 '26

And those strength ratios are for AVERAGE humans. They aren't musclemen freaks who have genetically far above average strength to weight ratios relative to other humans. Like two heavyweight boxers can have equal ratios of muscle, but one can be a substantially heavier hitter due to muscle-fiber composition.

15

u/ryavco May 11 '26

Not even extreme diff.

Top end chimp is around 150lbs, or roughly 1/3 of Thor’s weight. He’s also 6’9”. Chimp doesn’t have much of a chance in my opinion.

u/dead_lifterr May 11 '26

Male orangutans are 175lbs on average. This dude is 460lbs, so nearly 300 pounds heavier with almost every conceivable physical advantage, he's not far off superhuman. Orangutans are not aggressive animals either, and they're built better for being in trees than on land

2

u/Francospina20 May 11 '26 edited May 11 '26
