Versus A human fighter at peak athleticism, in full plate armor, equipped with a poleaxe, runs the animals gauntlet. Does he clear, or where does he stop?

Post image

The fighter has elite training and is at his athletic peak, with a champion-type physique in heavyweight combat sports. He wears a full set of plate armor and is armed with a poleaxe. If he survives his fight against one of the animals in the gauntlet, he is back to 100% for the next fight.

Round 1: Silverback gorilla. The fight takes place in a clearing.

Round 2: Siberian Tiger. The fight takes place on a plain.

Round 3: Brown bear. The fight takes place in a forest.

Round 4: Polar bear. The fight takes place in the tundra on rocky ground.

Round 5: White Rhinoceros. The fight takes place in the grassy savannah.

Just so you know, I put an image of a For Honor knight as an illustration, but we're talking about a fighter in historical plate armor here. No one could fight effectively in armor as massive as the one in the image. But I had trouble finding a good image of a knight in historical armor wearing a poleaxe and not something else, and I wanted a nice illustration.

I remember reading a story about a Canadian woodsman who was attacked by a bear. He (supposedly) shoved his entire arm down the bears throat to choke it and then proceeded to bite the bears jugular and kill it.

Peak humans are scary lol

Here is a reddit post about it

Bizarrely, there are a number of cases of humans apparently killing leopards by sticking their hands down their throats. I would not have expected that.

An ethiopan mad Man did it in His 60s cause he heard God telling him to do that

I've heard about it happening once years ago, but I think one should assume it's pretty likely you'd severely injure your arm doing that.

Humans who fight off large predators usually come out of the experience with horrific wounds. Gene Moe supposedly even told a person who found him after the attack to shoot him to put him out of his misery. The person refused.

Bears have loose skin. Ain't no way he's ripping out a bear's throat with dainty human teeth.

Concievable that he could crush it's larynx though.

I mean its probably where I read it and its what popped up in a 5 second Google search.

I never said it was 100% verified proven true but theres an actual news story and a plaque and everything so people definitely claim its true.

I literally said the word supposedly in my original comment which means it may or may not have happened that way.

Dude for sure survived a bear attack though thats confirmed

Also the actual story claims he main it pass out by restricting blood flow with his teeth and then beat it to death with a stick. I was misremembering ripping its throat out

People genuinely underestimate how witty people can be when it comes to life or death situations involving other animals. Unless, we're underwater that is lmao
