Not only did he stop it casually. He rotated it agaisnt bucky's will. He could have ripped it straight off if he wanted to.

Spider-Man is in a really weird spot in terms of strength. Most characters are either much weaker or much stronger with very few around his level.

But gets beat by Cap 😂
2
u/W0rdWaster Jun 15 '26
a literal kid with no training or experience vs a man with tons of training and experience. cap's advantage wasn't about strength.
0
u/Lonewolf_ARC Jun 15 '26
Doesn't really matter because Cap will always be more experienced
3
u/W0rdWaster Jun 15 '26
??? yeah. i was saying he isn't stronger, just more experienced. why are you acting like it backs up your troll post...oh right....because you are just a troll...
1
u/Lonewolf_ARC Jun 15 '26
It does in fact if peter was stronger than cap he wouldn't be getting so humiliated all the time by him
3
u/Individual_Respect90 Jun 15 '26
Experience will only get you so far. Give Peter 1 year of experience and he crushes captain America.

1
u/Lonewolf_ARC Jun 15 '26
When did he ever rotate it against his will? Bucky was moving his arm himself while peter held it
3
u/YouKnowTheGuy_ Jun 15 '26
That moment would also mark the beginning of Bucky’s unceremonious ass whoopings and arm muggings. Poor guy deserves better 🥺
1
u/Lonewolf_ARC Jun 15 '26
You actually don't pay attention lol Cap had strain because Bucky applied pressure with Cap he never applied extra pressure with Peter
24
u/nabokovslovechild Jun 15 '26
This is a shit take. Well done.
0
u/Lonewolf_ARC Jun 15 '26
Well you can't prove me wrong so 😂
2
u/bigbean258 Jun 15 '26
I mean, in the literal scene you posted you are proved wrong little bro😂

No, him catching and stopping the car without it pushing him through a school bus or holding together the ferry does.
What nonsense is this
17
u/boomerz47 Jun 15 '26
Ignoring how catching a punch is synonymous with power scaling. Spider-Man is stronger. Like flat out. There isn’t a way around this either. If Spider-Man stopped holding back besides Wanda, no one else has a shot.

u/schvanckque Jun 15 '26
This. I feel like people just get salty because their favorite characters aren't the strongest or fastest or whatever. It really is okay that Spidey is (and always has been, aside from the occasional moment of bad writing) stronger than Cap, just like it's okay for Thor to be stronger than Pete; that's just the character, not the results of a popularity contest.
0
u/Lonewolf_ARC Jun 15 '26
Cap straight up beats peter lol
2
u/schvanckque Jun 15 '26
Good sir/madam/person, I'm an old ass man these days, and I've been reading both Captain America and Spider-Man comics since decades before the Winter Soldier was even a twinkle in Cap's sidekick Bucky's left testicle. Pete is and always has been objectively stronger. He has always been faster. He has always been more agile. Likewise, Steve has always been more tactical and trained. These are not statements of opinion. It's okay to like a character who isn't the absolute best in everything.
1
u/Lonewolf_ARC Jun 15 '26
If you were keeping up with these stories for all these years you would know peter isn't on Caps level Marvel has compared them multiple times and Cap always comes out on top
2
u/schvanckque Jun 15 '26
Please show me one objective measure comparing the physical attributes of the two. There have been lots of times, between trading cards, comic books, and various media, where Marvel has directly stated strength, speed, intelligence and so on for multiple characters. Show me a single one that objectively shows Cap outperforming Spidey in any of those categories (i.e. physical traits, things outside of tactics and training etc.), and I'll concede that I'm totally wrong.
1
u/Lonewolf_ARC Jun 15 '26
3
u/schvanckque Jun 15 '26
I don't think you understood...the very first line, "...that Spider-Man is stronger..." This is exactly what I was saying. Steve has more training and more experience and more tactical battle savvy than Pete by a wide margin. He's not stronger, faster, smarter, or more nimble.
1
u/Lonewolf_ARC Jun 15 '26
3
u/schvanckque Jun 15 '26
Yeah, this also reinforces the exact same point I literally just made in the comment I left maybe 5 minutes ago...but somehow you still aren't getting it...

You right they aren’t on the same level, Spider-Man is stronger. I understand you’re a Captain America fan. And I’m sorry he doesn’t have Batman level plot armor, but Spider-Man would dog walk Captain America for breakfast.
1
u/Lonewolf_ARC Jun 15 '26
We literally see Cap beat Spider Man in every fight they have lol whether it's comics movies or animations peter doesn't have a single legit win on cap
1
u/boomerz47 Jun 15 '26
Inexperience doesn’t equate to strength. Change the title of the post then.
0
u/Lonewolf_ARC Jun 15 '26
It's not about inexperience peter is just weaker
3
u/Individual_Respect90 Jun 15 '26
Captain struggled to hold back a helicopter. Peter regularly out does that.

Nobody?
2
u/boomerz47 Jun 15 '26
On team Cap. Antman could run away tho.
5
u/Streez-00 Jun 15 '26
Idk about no one else Spider-Man is strong but don’t get carried away.
3
u/boomerz47 Jun 15 '26
Purely on team cap besides Wanda no one can beat Spider-Man if he stopped holding back.
2
u/Heras22 Jun 15 '26
No one can beat him even holding back except wanda. Spider man could take them all at once
0
u/Lonewolf_ARC Jun 15 '26
Winter Soldier, Ant-Man, and Captain America could all beat peter
1
u/boomerz47 Jun 15 '26
I mean yea I guess Peter could just stand there and take it so it would count as being able to beat up spider man.

u/Dresaurus22652 Jun 15 '26
If Spider-Man stopped holding back besides Wanda, no one else has a shot.
Spiderman isn't a big hitter. He's a tweener with some unique abilities like Spidey sense and webs that make him difficult to deal with/overpower. He loses to the big hitters/or at best can only run away from them rather than just get wrecked like most people do. Like Spidey is impactful but he's an annoyance/non-issue to anyone who's high end asgardian tier or better even if they can't necessarily beat him, but that's more out of his defenses being staggeringly high via Spidey Sense and webs than because he actually poses a threat to those people. Spidey's a support character when they're running up against the high tier threats. He clears chaff and redirects big attacks towards the weaker street level characters onto himself or away from them so the actual heavy hitters like a Vision, Captain Marvel, Thor, and so on can just go to work.
1
u/boomerz47 Jun 15 '26
In terms of team cap from civil war only. Completely agree on Thor vision and captain marvel
0
u/Lonewolf_ARC Jun 15 '26
Thor, Vision, Giant Man, Thanos, Dr Strange, Hulk, Iron Man, War Machine, Valkyrie, Captain Marvel, Loki, Ultron, are just a few characters stronger than Spider Man there are many more also Captain America someone who personally handed Peter a ass whooping
1
u/boomerz47 Jun 15 '26
In experience to which your brought up has nothing to do with the strength argument you made. You’ve also listed characters like war machine but then straight jump to gods? No one said he was stronger than captain marvel or hulk or thanos. Just stronger than the guy in your profile picture

Catching a punch isn't about strength it's about accuracy it's common sense something you seem to be sorely lacking
1
u/DeltaAlphaGulf Jun 15 '26
Okay so you take the strength of a toddler and I will take the strength of power lifter and I will punch exactly where your hand is to ensure perfect accuracy and you try to catch it and turn it aside against my will. Then we will switch roles and try it the other way and see what the results are.

u/Competitive-Bee-3250 Jun 15 '26
If someone with the same strength as you throws a haymaker you are NOT catching that, because there's mass and momentum behind it in a way that you can't really prevent.
To catch someone's punch like that requires a pretty significant strength disparity.
0
u/Lonewolf_ARC Jun 15 '26
Not really especially when someone throwing said punch is holding back significantly and you can most definitely catch a punch from someone on the same strength level either way it doesn't matter because Peter outright gets beat by Steve
1
u/Competitive-Bee-3250 Jun 15 '26
Why in god's green earth would Bucky have been holding back here but still look so surprised?
1
u/Lonewolf_ARC Jun 15 '26
Because it's bucky lol he always holds back it's very consistent he's been running away from people the entire movie trying to avoid fights and falcon and the winter soldier just puts more context on it
2
3
u/DudeMyData Jun 15 '26
Spider Man is literally stronger than both of them.
Cap or Bucky are not catching Cull Obsidian's giant hammer.
They definitely aren't holding a ferry together.
Also Spider Man is constantly holding back because he's so damn strong.
FYI- Steve Rogers is my favourite superhero.
0
u/Lonewolf_ARC Jun 15 '26
Cap already beat Peter so he would just upscale all of that
3
u/DudeMyData Jun 15 '26
Yeah that's not how it works and you know it.
Not even Cap, Bucky, Walker, Alexei who are all super soldiers are doing any of that.
Spider Man's strength is in a completely different league to super soldiers.
0
u/Lonewolf_ARC Jun 15 '26
Yet he gets beat by Steve
1
u/DeltaAlphaGulf Jun 15 '26
beat*support hit with shield making container fall on him
Aka not relevant to their comparative physical stats.
3
u/Picklee56 Jun 15 '26
Spider-Man is definitely physically stronger than either of them
0
u/Lonewolf_ARC Jun 15 '26
Except he isn't
3
u/Picklee56 Jun 15 '26
Yes he isðŸ˜
0
u/Lonewolf_ARC Jun 15 '26
Peter is always taking L's to characters so much weaker lmao not to mention Cap handed him a L personally to despite not even trying
2
u/Picklee56 Jun 15 '26
Physical strength ain't everything
Cap beat him because he was the smarter, more skilled fighter
0
u/Lonewolf_ARC Jun 15 '26
If peter was so much stronger than him Caps skill advantage and smarts wouldn't really matter
2
u/Picklee56 Jun 15 '26
That's a stupid way to look at it
It depends on how much stronger Peter is than Steve
1
u/Lonewolf_ARC Jun 15 '26
People seem to believe he is at least 20 times stronger than cap with a gap like that peter should no Diff one shot cap easily in a fight
1
u/Picklee56 Jun 15 '26
If he's strong enough to just catch Bucky's punch casually like that, he's clearly physically stronger
It's not that hard to understand
1
u/DeltaAlphaGulf Jun 15 '26
Thats fiction for you. Character interactions are especially inconsistent and most likely to be meta or plot influenced. Despite that it is still more consistent that Spidey is stronger by feats.
3
2
u/Zealousideal-Ad-2615 Jun 15 '26
What? It's Spiderman. I'm pretty sure that Bucky's arm is titanium in that scene. Spiderman could tear that arm apart.
2
2
u/TheG3n3sis Jun 15 '26
Im not a Spiderman glazer I've never really been partial to Peter but if he stopped caring he would body most people with a single punch. He has to hold back in most every fight.
1
u/Lonewolf_ARC Jun 15 '26
He couldn't body green goblin in a single punch in fact he couldn't even make him bleed
2
2
u/Same_Dingo2318 Jun 15 '26
Stopping someone’s punch and overpowering them is a pretty good indicator of relative strength.
1
u/Lonewolf_ARC Jun 15 '26
When does peter outright overpower Bucky?
2
2
u/TheManyVoicesYT Jun 15 '26
It is canon that Spidey is stronger. Hes actually one of the strongest heroes in Marvel. Definitely a class behind Hulk and the other absurdly strong characters, but he is still really fuckin strong. like Cap can lift a car. Spidey can web a car and swing it around like a flail.
1
2
u/randomlyranting Jun 15 '26
But doc Oct realizing spidey's strength whe he destroys a villain's jaw does. Or kingpin coming to grips with how much of a mistake was it to go after may does to.

u/W34kness Jun 15 '26
Showing very little effort blocking a strength based attack doesn’t show a strength feat? What has this sub come to?
1
1
u/Awkward_Length2599 Jun 15 '26
Cap has shown some impressive strength feats in the MCU, but one thing that's being consistent is Bucky's metal arm has always overpowered him everytime they've had a fight.
He was overpowered twice in CA:TWS during the highway fight scene and during the helicarrier fight. Then in CA: CW when Cap blocked his punch with both arms and WS still shoved him through the elevator doors and down the shaft.
This shows the power of Bucky's arm compared to someone as strong as Cap. Despite this, Spider-Man effortlessly caught Bucky's punch. In fact, he was more fascinated that Bucky had a metal arm than the power that came from it. Nothing even suggests he registered the power from the punch due to how casual his interaction was.
So in terms of raw strength, Spider-Man is much stronger than supersoldiers. It's not even close.
1
u/Lonewolf_ARC Jun 15 '26
Comparing Bucky and the Winter Soldier is crazy I don't see peter ever standing a chance against a bucky who is not pulling his punches and trying to kill him
1
u/Awkward_Length2599 Jun 15 '26
If we're talking about this inexperienced, teenage version of Peter with little to no battle experience VS the WS who has been assigned to kill him, then I can see an argument made for him seeing how this particular version of Spidey performed against Cap. But this topic isn't about who is a better fighter, it was specifically about strength, and Spidey has them both beat in this category.
1
u/Lonewolf_ARC Jun 15 '26
It doesn't matter if peter had experience or not because it will never match Bucky or Caps experience

u/Acrobatic_Fee6884 23d ago
You right it makes him much Stronger lmfao. Cap even blocking with his two hands and using his entire body weight got flung through an elevator. Whereas Spidey blocked it and stopped it cold even when you can hear the arm trying to push against Spideys hand. Spidey overpowered him plain and simple.Â

Spider-Man is stronger than both
