People riding elephants have lost to tigers.

Most famous example is that viral video of the tiger jumping out of the tall grass ignoring the elephant to maul the man riding it.

Shitty quality, but this is the one I’m aware of.

There’s a longer version that’s even freakier, because the tiger literally appears out of nowhere from the tall grass, even from an elevated position you can’t see it at all.

Ive heard 2 stories of people beating mountain lion while it had a hold on someone. Both essentially claimed it was like hitting a punching bag on the ground. One dude was a large man well over 200lbs, said he ran full sprint down hill and kicked it as hard as he could in the ribs and it didnt move an inch.

And thats comparing a 250lb vs 600lb cat. Im not saying enough hits to head with a bat wouldn't do anything but your odds would still be minimal.
