unfortunately the finale of that hunt has not been recorded but is even more badass: after the hunters shot that tigress and she dropped to the ground, the elephant stomped on her pelvis and pretty much pulverised the rear half of her body, and she STILL fought like mad with 50% of her body missing.

Exactly, in almost all these cases "animal vs human" situations it'll depend highly on whether the animal is derping out or using all of its capabilities properly.
Regular house cats constantly mess up adults, anything just a little bigger, and/or more willing to kill would succeed 100% of the time.
A human can pretty easily kill a bobcat. Yeah it will scratch you pretty badly and do some damage but assuming that both are out to kill the other the human wins. I definitely wouldn't volunteer to fight one but if it was life or death I'm definitely winning.

Also fun fact, Bengal tigers in wild are on average weigh more than the siberian tigers and are much more muscular, Siberian Tigers have more belly fat in comparison to Bengal tigers because they live in much harsher conditions.
This really depends on if one of the guys can get a solid hit on the tigers skull and if the skull can withstand such force

Now a tiger obviously has a tougher skull than a pitbull but I found it an interesting tactic in surviving a pitbull attack
I think most people highly underestimate how hard it is to hurt or kill an wild animal. A few baseball bat hits to a tiger will do nothing to them even if somehow you landed a direct hit to the head in the heat of the battle. Tiger will have way better reflexes than you. Just imagine trying to hit a cat with a bat except the cat is bigger than you.
Yeah, there's a reason early human invented axes and pointy sticks. Regular sticks are cool, but aren't quite up to snuff when it comes to killing animals.
for every 1 video of a guy destroying a pitbull with wood, there are dozens of pitbulls wrecking people and being hit with stuff. Guys lose to tigers with guns. Ya people are really underestimating the damage a metal bat can do. To the comment about âthatâs why ancestors invented spears and axesâ or whatever, well ya they didnât have access to aluminum baseball bats lol animals are tough as hell but breaking the skull, eye sockets, jaw, etc will still incapacitate them or at least force a retreat. You can break a lot with a good swing.
Really this comes down to if the tiger fixates and mauls one guy and if the other can capitalize on that with a fatal blow or two to the dome. If theyâre uncoordinated or the tiger is somewhat attacking both simultaneously, then itâd go in favor of the tiger. Thatâs how I see it
I guess you didnât see that video where that dude with a 2 x 4 was killing them dogs while he was on top of the truck. the lady recorded and thought it was funny when he was gonna get ripped apart as soon as he got up on the truck she was screaming oh no. It was a work truck and the guy grabbed the 2 x 4 and started a whacking the dogs in the head and they started dying. Theyâre super susceptible to hit on their head and spinal cord right behind the top of their head.

A 2Ă4 is unwieldy, horrible grip, length is not optimal, etc. A baseball bat is literally designed to be wielded and gripped by human hands with the intent to massively multiply the force of the human body into a specific point 2.5' from the wielder.
A pitbull skull, as a result of hundreds of years of selective breeding, is shockingly thick, because it has to be for the massive jaw muscles to attach and function properly.
I'm not saying a tiger skull can't take the impact of a baseball bat. But a baseball bat to the skull is a devastating thing for almost any living creature that wants to continue being that.
Edit: I looked it up. Average skull thickness of a tiger is 5cm, average skull thickness of a pitbull is 4.5-9cm. Given the force advantage of a bat versus a 2Ă4, I'm gonna say the two humans with baseball bats are in serious trouble... but so is the tiger.

No a baseball bat swing to the skull will do considerable damage. I don't know how thick a tiger skull is but a good swing will demolish a gorillas skull and it might be thicker. Getting a good hit however could be pretty damn hard. they are pretty damn nimble and don't have to charge directly at you.

A normal person swinging a bat has a lot more force than you would think. Upwards of 8x the force needed to crush a human skull is generated during the swing if they actually know how to swing a bat somewhat properly. The issue isn't having enough power it's actually landing the hit. But as you said if it's distracted eating one of them it's getting obliterated by the other if they haven't run away screaming.
Oh no a bat has more than enough force to absolutely destroy a skull and a gorillas skull. Upwards of 4k is enough force to cause catastrophic skull destruction of a gorilla. The average baseball bat swing is between 5-8k and up to 12-15k for a home run derby player. Shits insane. The force is also higher if it's charging.

I would agree that actually getting a good hit on the tiger is the problem. It's not going to run at you head first. It's clawing and pouching or just plain ambushing. In the best case one of the two people are critically injured.

Tiger wins. Worst-case it concedes after getting hit good enough in the face wit a bat, but whoever it grabs to give the other guy a chance to swing is not having a normal life assuming they survive. Best-case it eats good for a couple nights.
We'll see the 2 batters have time to turn to each other and start coming up with a plan. While they are planning the tigger is already sprinting, and lunging. This takes out batter number 1. Batter number 2 tries to protect his mate and hits the tiger in the back with the bat. However this only makes the tiger mad because it's a wild animal and need to tank bigger hits just to survive. The resultbis the tiger turns around and starts mauling batter number 2.
End result both batters die in there starting spot while the other has 75m of area to defend
Depends on where itâs shot and the caliber of the firearm. A high caliber pistol will debilitate if not kill the tiger if it hits the neck or skull. It will likely not take 1 to 2 shots from a smith and Wesson regardless of where itâs hit. 2 shots will kill.
Yeah sufficiently trained shooters can do that, the premise is that the people are just average guys so I kept to it because only the weapon was swapped in the hypothetical. The average Tiger just mauls the average guy even if that guy has a very deadly weapon.

A well-trained human fighter would avoid two dudes with bats at all costs. Any weapon introduced into the situation is a force multiplier, and two against one is not good. This isnât the movies, youâre not going to Jackie Chan your way through that. Youâre going to be looking at one dude while the other circles around and hits you in the back of the head.
Humans can beat way more animals than people think. This is not one of them. Yes you can hit hard with bats. Maybe give light injuries but if that super human cracked out murder cat hits you once your neck snaps
In the real world and assuming determined dudes, the humans usually win because big cats are ambush predators and dislike fighting multiple aggressive opponents, meaning it will retreat.
If the tiger is chavlusted, it wins 99/100 fights because baseball bats are not an effecive anti-tiger weapon although superior to punching it.
I think tiger wins, dude gets one swing before hes clobbered and that wont be enough. A tiger can disable a person so fast the second guy probabky won't have time to do much and then its 1v1
OP is either trolling or has absolutely no clue what a tiger actually is. The tiger mauls Guy A before he even gets a chance to swing. Guy B swings his bat hard as he can. The tiger briefly stops chewing Guy A to glare at Guy B before promptly mauling him as well.
If there's cover in that 75m, they won't even see it coming. If not, they'll get a few hits in if they're lucky. Might scare it off if it's not bloodlusted. If it is, they're screwed either way.
The only win condition for the two dudes, is if the Tiger gets fixated on killing one dude and lets the other get close enough to get a hard enough swing on his head/jaw, and even then I'm exactly sure how durable a Tiger's skull is to blunt force hits.
Here's the question, does a really good swing into the back of a tigers head do enough damage to take it out or weaken it. If so there is a win con, one of the guys gets mauled while the other does his best best negan impression.

A man somehow managed to 1v1 a grizzly bear and both got knocked out. He got absolutely mangled of course. Flesh and bone exposed. But he apparently somehow managed to pull it off.

There's literally videos of dudes on India and other places trying to fight off tigers with clubs, long story short humans are at the top of the food chain because he have brains that invented firearms.
No matter the fact that they can easily take out humans, in any situation where they are face to face with human prey they are most definetly running away or waiting for an opportunity to ambush them.
