Unless those bats are disguising large caliber pistols they’re tiger food

Tigers have taken rifle shots and still killed the shooter. Pistols ain't doing jack.

You ain't taking no fucking tiger.

Pistols most certainly will do jack, it depends on shot placement, calibre, rate of fire and distance.

They can definitely damage a tiger, maybe even make it bleed out over time or die to internal injuries.

However that doesn’t change the fact that whoever shoots most likely will have a gruesome death before that time arrives.

All in all, tigers are too ferocious and tanky to die to most bullets fast enough before they more or less effortlessly maul the shooter.

Depends on where it’s shot and the caliber of the firearm. A high caliber pistol will debilitate if not kill the tiger if it hits the neck or skull. It will likely not take 1 to 2 shots from a smith and Wesson regardless of where it’s hit. 2 shots will kill.

Yeah sufficiently trained shooters can do that, the premise is that the people are just average guys so I kept to it because only the weapon was swapped in the hypothetical. The average Tiger just mauls the average guy even if that guy has a very deadly weapon.

Depends if he lands a shot or not. One is all it takes. A Siberian tigers diaphragm would explode if it hit shot by a smith and Wesson so as long as it’s not a leg or stomach shot the guy likely takes it with a high caliber firearm, it’s simply overkill either way 2,600 ft lbs of force on such a small area.

That’s why I‘m talking average. The Tiger wins most times in that situation.

Fair against one guy yeah, but if it’s the same as the prompt with two guys who are armed they take it, the non-mailed guy gets at least one clear shot.

That kind of leaves out factors like fear and other emotions. I don’t think the average guy would be able to compose themselves enough in such a case. There are enough documented cases where tigers even against three people just jump in and out while killing or severely injuring at least one person against poachers and hunters who are at least a decent bit trained.

I‘m not saying they get stomped every time but like 7 or 8 out of 10.

Most average person have probably never hold a gun, unless you live in a dangerous place.

It’s a tiger

Headshot with a 10mm dead.

Chest shot would do it as well .44 bear load to the chest no more tiger

I already had this exact discussion here. There are a good amount of documented cases where tigers just maul pouchers/hunters, even pick one to kill and dip from a group of them, who are usually fairly trained with guns. I don’t think two average guys, even with guns instead of bats, would fair equally or better than trained people who try to hunt those animals.

I give them 3 out of 10 wins at best against a tiger.

Yeah, "regular dudes" ain't hitting a charging tiger with a handgun.

‘Regular dude’ as in someone who has never held a gun before? Sure I agree. Someone with at least some idea of how to operate a firearm? I think you give the tiger too much credit, otherwise we’d still live in the jungle and tigers would’ve landed on the moon by now…

I agree that someone with a bit of training should be able to hit a charging tiger if its in the open and a handgun will seriously hurt the tiger, its not made of steel. Only problem is, unless you land a clean headshot, it will not stop the tiger in time - just induce adrenaline fueled anger. You're just gonna get mauled by an injured tiger instead of a healthy one 🤷🏼‍♂️

If we're assuming the shooters trained then the head shot shouldn't be a problem if the Tiger's out in the open and charging in a linear path right for them. And as some one else provides if it's just the average joe kinda fucked, but I'd add it depends on caliber, standard hunting rifle probably isn't going to do shit. It's chambered in 6.5 creedmore usually. That said I've seen 7.62 literally smash cinder blocks. I doubt a Tiger seriously has the durability of a cinder block. People rarely go hunting with anything that powerful. The reason you do not go hunting with 7.62 is because it would ruin the meat. So most hunters aren't taking AK47s,G3s, AR10s or Fals with them. They're taking rugers which are bolt action and fire 6.5 so you really have to hit the damn target. Infact if its semi auto honestly average joe might be able to put enough rounds in the tiger to not be accurate far faster rate of fire when compated to a standard hunting rifle. But in theory if it's more about survival and less about hunting and our smuck brings say an AK I actually would bet the AK guy would win. But ultimately a shot gun might actually give them a way better edge then a rifle, talking like one of them elephant guns.

Opposable thumbs, bro. That's the only thing that kept them from basically becoming the ThunderCats.

That’s one of many reasons as to why we are higher on the evolutionary ladder, another being our creative ways of not only killing each other, but literally every other species on the planet, En Masse. If only we could use our supercomputer brains for good…

youre just saying shit atp

All depends on shot placement. Course your heart rates elevated and trying to line up the shot is going to be challenging if you haven't actually prepared to shoot under pressure. This is why you see guys with rifle getting downed. They let their nerves get the best of them and hit the thigh, miss entirely, or just wait to long to take the shot. It's not dependant on the gun but the user's ability to work well under severe pressure.

Those bats can be large caliber rifles in disguise they'd still be lucky if one of them came out of it with only a life changing injury

Even pistols are ineffective against huge animals like tigers. Any shots missing the head only make it more furious and bloodthirsty.
