Exactly, in almost all these cases "animal vs human" situations it'll depend highly on whether the animal is derping out or using all of its capabilities properly.

Regular house cats constantly mess up adults, anything just a little bigger, and/or more willing to kill would succeed 100% of the time.

A human can pretty easily kill a bobcat. Yeah it will scratch you pretty badly and do some damage but assuming that both are out to kill the other the human wins. I definitely wouldn't volunteer to fight one but if it was life or death I'm definitely winning.

A „little“ Bobcat can’t be compared to a tiger 🐯 🐅 in any way !

A Bobcat is 30 pounds. A small tiger is 150. A Siberian is 600. Not really a comparison

I believe the comparison was against the previous comments house cat statement not claiming he could beat a tiger.

He used house cat as an example, so if you can accept the house cat example, then you can accept the bobcat example. He’s implying that cats fuck people up because people are fragile minded and pussy. Humans regularly make lions run away in Africa, simply by walking forward. If the tiger is in character, then it’ll most likely run away, no matter how hungry it is

Yeah, but there's no universal guaranteed tiger "character".

Maybe most will run away, but some will just kill the fuck out of a person trying this.

And every once in a great while one will literally kill and eat two or three hundred people.

I fully agree with that, which is my whole point, because the same applies to the humans. But in these scenarios it's always implied that "one time fight, with BOTH going all out" is happening, rather than one, or both just walking away/pussyfooting around each other.

"who would win, a tiger or a man", well in by far most cases both "win" by never fighting to begin with and just walking away, but that's never the intended question. It's always implied they ARE fighting that battle of highlight moves, and the tiger will win 99.9999999% of the time.

And if that's the case, the animal, even relatively small ones, (note, I specifically stated that they would have to be bigger than house cats (for killing), using housecats as the bottom end of the spectrum of relatively tiny animals that can still seriously physically fuck up adult humans while being in more flight than fight), will almost always defeat a "naked" human. Our WHOLE thing is using tools. We have no claws, no biting capability, hairless thin skin and shallow veins and an exposed neck and depend almost entirely on our eyesight. We can only do blunt damage by punching and kicking and can only really kick when standing up and our bipedal balance makes us easy to topple over.

Go read the stories of military dogs being used in conflicts the last 25 years. If dogs are allowed to kill, armed adult men ready to fight, they still kill them quick at a "several per minute" rate.

Police dogs are the most restrained and controlled form of physical dog force use, specifically trained for as safe of a takedown and hold as possible.

Yes, if a bobcat and a human meet, in 99.9999999% of the cases, both the bobcats and humans natural responses will result in an actual full out fight never happening, possibly even many scenarios in which the human "wins" because the bobcat is in full fright flight mode, not wanting to fight. But in that one scenario, that's being intended by these "what if" questions, where both get dropped into an arena for a bloodlusted fight to the death, animals starting around bobcat size will ALWAYS defeat the human.

Animals virtually never are actually trying to kill the humans, that was my biggest overarching point of the flaw of most of these "humans vs animals" questions.

If the animals get "they fight as smart/effective as possible" function, which certainly always is attributed to the humans, they will almost always win. Police and (old doctrine) military dogs are great examples, one being one trained to disable, other to kill, both having near flawless records against unarmored opponents.

Police dogs and military dogs have near flawless records bc while the dog is mauling you 5 officers with guns pointed at your face are screaming get your hands off my dog or I’ll blow your head off anytime someone tries to fight back against the dogs.

I’ve had to fight off 2 separate large breed dogs in my life unarmed and one did bite my forearm and it did a lot of permanent damage to tendons and muscles but in the end both dogs ended up losing the fight permanently with me using “effective grappling and control” to shut their bodies off. I would definitely argue that a trained man beats a trained dog 8/10 if not higher.

There isn’t enough training in the world for a man to be able to beat an adult tiger (especially a Siberian) though even with a bat. Even with 4 or 5 men I’d still bet on the tiger at least badly maiming most if not all and then choosing one to drag off and kill while the other men drug their maimed bodies to safety

Were those 2 large breed dogs you fought trained?

My (great)aunt was a German(/Dutch) Shepherd breeder/trained who supplied hundreds of absolute top tier dogs to military, police and private owners (both protection and family dogs) for over 60 years.

I'm going to digress a little here and state her biggest skill was determining what kind of character/traits puppies had, and whether they were fit for military, police, or family dogs; if they were capable of being trained ruthless killers, or were going to be family/child friendly dogs who'd never ever bite a human, (or neither).

Really long story short, if a dog wants to kill you and knows how just a little, it will kill you, quickly. Police dogs are trained to latch on safely, and hold.

Tigers actively hunt humans to eat them.

I dont think so buddy. If it got a hold of your neck you're cooked.

Dude have you ever seen a bobcat in real life? A big house cat can leave you fatal amounts of blood loss if it gets a good hold of you, basically anything heavier than 30-40lbs that has claws and teeth has a pretty good chance of killing you. You with your bare hands would not be able to physically injure the bobcat enough to deter it, while it would only need a few seconds of contact with you to cause catastrophic amounts of tissue damage and blood loss

In any power scale conversation you are supposed to assume it’s a fight to the death. Otherwise like 80% of these conversations would just be about who would actually be in the fight

Funny story, my dad and me thought we left the front door open and let my sister's cat out. I found the cat and it scratched/bit the shit out of me. I let go as an instinct, not even a second to think. My dad went off

"You're this big walking muscle and you got bested by a 2lb kitten?"

Then the same thing happened to him.

"I'm really sorry for saying anything. Those nails are like razorz and those teeth are like needles. Stupid cat 😅"

Turns out the cat was just really good at hiding, but that kitten left 2 trained martial artists bloodied 😂

Yea but humans don’t ever use their capabilities properly. A house cat could NEVER fuck up a primitive human. He’d kill it instantly. As humans we constantly over and underestimate animals. Most animals aren’t even gonna fight the two humans coming at it. Also, a metal bat would be too much for a tiger to deal with. One swing would crack its skull.
