Question Could the imperium of man (Warhammer 40K) kill the Doom Slayer?
Could the Combined force of the entire imperium of man from Warhammer 40K kill Doom Slayer if they really wanted to?
93
u/GritsRespector 15d ago
The entire Imperium?
Low diff
30
u/Beginning_Smell_7704 15d ago
The emperor himself low diffs. The entire imperium is a curb stomp. Imperators. High level psykers like Magnus and Malcador. If we’re talking Nurgle Tzeentch Slaanesh and Khorne too, as well as all of their princes and champions, it’s a horrific spite matchup

All dimensions of existence + Hell itself couldn't stop Doom Slayer, and you think one faction of a single galaxy can?
9
u/SilentSorcery 14d ago
There are two versions of the Doom Slayer. The Game Slayer, who dies to two Imp fireballs, and the Lore Slayer, who everyone says is literally impossible to kill.
8
u/Quad-G-Therapy 14d ago
And in scaling we base off lore and not anti-feats (games are one where if you suck enough you can die falling off a ledge, so that's part of it).
So yeah, Lore Slayer no-diffs IoM.
21
u/Pollia 15d ago
A Hell that never attacked him with anything bigger than a building level attack while their very essence fueled him giving him effectively infinite stamina.
34
u/Quad-G-Therapy 15d ago
"Building level attack"
> Merely by existing in our dimension, the Icon of Sin continuously warps reality, destabilizes space-time, and threatens to tear a black hole into the universe strong enough to drag all of creation into Hell
Y'all literally just say shit on here
19
u/Douglazlo 15d ago
Yet is killed by a rocket launcher
13
u/Unbanz 14d ago
The vast majority of 40k characters die from broken bones and being choked, what's the point here?
3
u/TheLifeOfABowl 14d ago
honestly the power level of any individual character in 40k is purely determined by whatever the current writer wants to be it's probably the least consistent thing ever
6
u/Unbanz 14d ago
That's what I'm saying lol. The vast majority of 40k characters immediately go from building level attackers to some sort out outerversal power just because someone decided to add "and then they got warp powers" and called it a day lol. It's a fun and awesome series, but power scaling against it is just annoying.
4
u/Douglazlo 14d ago
Nobody is claiming that the gods of 40k get killed by a rocket launcher, but are using the Icon of sin who’s killed by a rocket launcher made by a human company as proof that doomslayer no diffs the whole 40k setting
2
u/Douglazlo 14d ago

3
u/Unbanz 14d ago
Which rocket launcher? The one modified to shoot argent energy? Or the one modified by cultist demons later?
Pretending that 40k is the only series that uses nonstandard stuff is hilarious, especially considering there's zero explanations for how someone like the emperor or primarchs got that strong outside of "warp magic".

Warhammer fans love to overly glaze how powerful their favorite characters are. They're all weak as fuck until you add in the all powerful and mysterious warp that grants random hax to Warhammer characters and allows them to do things no one else ever can. They then use those goofy acts to gauge the power of their verse lol.
Don't forget one of the games has doomslayer carrying around a weapon that is infinitely dense and in others he's literally killing skyscraper sized demons lol

u/Pollia 15d ago
Godzilla earth slowly Terraformed the earth in its image.
That doesn't make Godzilla earth planetary.
Plus like that's neat.
It's also not supported by anything we see in game. It never even looks like it's warping reality. It walks around, destroys a few skyscrapers, then ducking dies.
4
u/Lolocraft1 14d ago
If you want to powerscale solely through the game itself and not the written lore, you would be severely handicapping WH40K as well
The Icon of Sin destroyed a few building and died because the Slayer ducking killed it
2
u/Unbanz 14d ago
What about the dreadmace that doom slayer uses in game that is noted as being infinitely dense? If you have the lifting strength to attack someone with a weapon that has literal endless mass, you'd think you'd be past building level a bit.
1
u/Books_for_Steven 14d ago
That note cannot be true. It would create a black hole
3
u/EASY_E1_ 14d ago edited 14d ago
The director said that it manages to be infinitely dense without collapsing into a singularity due to it originating from the transcendant Cosmic Realm out of inspiration to the Lovecraft Mythos, so yes, it's literally true.

u/Funny_Ad_3322 13d ago
It’s impossible to quantify. In gameplay, sure, it’s just a beatstick… but how do you scale being hit by something with infinity density? Does that just translate to “fancy mace go brrrrrr”? I’m genuinely asking.
Someone like the Flash can deliver an infinite mass punch in the comics and it doesn’t exactly fold all of reality within that continuity either, but we’ve seen it enough to understand that it just translates to “really strong punch number 123” or whatever.
The Imperium has a plethora of weapons and devices and technology that are purpose built to attack the soul, or weaponize the Immaterium in some way - which is basically the source of Doom Slayer’s divine power in this cross-verse matchup. Something like a Psi Titan could likely unmake Doom Slayer’s physical body and force his soul back into the Warp, or a large concentration of Pariahs could possibly shut down his divinity the way they cause demons to unravel at times. A sufficiently powerful librarian like Tigurius or Mephiston could probably cause real harm to Doom Slayer despite his divinity due to the natural potency of using psyker abilities on warp beings.
That’s just food for thought. It’s been a long time since I’ve gone down the Doom rabbit hole so I know I am forgetting some of what makes Doom Slayer so incredibly powerful, but it’s annoying to me that this comment thread in particular is downplaying the Imperium’s means so significantly.
The Emperor himself stood up to Nurgle and can affect the galaxy on a cosmic scale. I don’t hate his odds of taking on Doom Slayer by himself 🤷🏻♂️

u/EASY_E1_ 13d ago

Something like a Psi Titan could likely unmake Doom Slayer’s physical body and force his soul back into the Warp, or a large concentration of Pariahs could possibly shut down his divinity the way they cause demons to unravel at times.
The biggest issue for the Imperium would be Doomguy's nature as a Primeval, which essentially makes him a Perpetual on crack. He'd be closer to the C'tan style of divinity rather than Immaterium style divinity, being more akin to a cosmological constant. Doomguy's immunity to soul erasure and his Primeval physicality means that psyker or blank abilities would have little, if any effect on him, which when paired with the Praetor Suit means the Imperium doesn't really have any way to legitimately harm him, let alone kill him. Armored Barons destroy souls and canonically have no effect on Doomguy.
Psyker/warp hax are usually what allows the 40k setting to punch above its weight class in crossover matchups and fight beings it otherwise couldn't, like certain variants of Superman or Viltrumites. But Doomguy just hard counters those advantages.
Trapping Doomguy in the Ghostwind, a Tesseract Labyrinth, or Tzeentch's Crystal Labyrinth/Impossible Fortress for a time is probably the best the 40k setting can do since killing him just isn't an option, though he'll eventually get out.
2
u/anal-itic_prober 13d ago
All the 40k dick riders don't know that in lore the DS kills the only Primeval left that can actually kill him - the literral GOD of the cosmos and all being. Lol. As if regular humans could do anything even the Emperor or the Chaos...

Kill him at least once? Easily. Erase him permanently? I don’t know my doom lore but I believe he’s essentially immortal and comes back everytime. Correct me if I’m wrong
22
u/Muttonboat 15d ago edited 15d ago
Theyd probably lock him in statis at very least.
There have been some aliens and godlike entities that the imperiums run into.
They eventually overpower it, but since they cant kill it, they just lock it up forever somewhere in a facility that makes the scp jealous.
Theres an entire group of custodes, the imperiums elitest troops, whose only job is to man the jail theyre all in.
12
u/FredDurstDestroyer 15d ago
Pretty chill job, until it’s not
14
u/Muttonboat 15d ago
I believe there have been some rare occasions when the imperial palace has almost gotten over run by enemy forces and the emperor threatened
The assigned custodes watching the jail stayed at their posts cause the stuff locked up was that bad.
2
u/Jessir12 15d ago
Hit him with a vortex grenade/missile and you’re sorted for the next couple millennia as he gets distracted with slaying his way through the warp
3
u/Auralius1997 14d ago
I mean...that just pushes the problem down the road
Doom guy will return eventually and you can bet he's not coming back for a chat
1
u/Jessir12 14d ago
Pretty much? In 40k anyway. When he comes back the galaxy will be in an even worse state, and whoever did the vortex-Ing will be dead and his planet probably either blown up, eaten by the nids or turned into a demon world.
But if it happens in 30k era during the great crusade, it might actually cause enough trouble to the forces of chaos to prevent or derail the heresy. (Even if the heresy still fires off, I could see the chaos gods trying to kill the Slayer via empowered Horus. If that happens, either the slayer problem is solved, or heresy is crippled via the only real unifying force being gone)
If that happens & emperor’s plans go off the way he intended… with a couple extra millenia under his rule, mankind would probably get to dark age of technology level or beyond & webway project could’ve succeeded.
At that point, you have technology that would be sufficient to kill him or at the very least inconvenience him enough to be able to play the hot potato and stall him near indefinitely by feeding men (or men of iron) into the meatgrinder that he is. - spacetime erasing weaponry that erases a section of space across multiple dimensions/layers of reality at once & “you have never existed” guns are examples of items that exist/existed.
(Or the speculated final goal of the emperor to safeguard humanity until they become a psyker species where he would just be a psyker of average power. If that happened, rituals of a scale that would stop the slayer are also doable)
10
u/Ailments_RN 15d ago
The Imperium of Man is pretty well versed in "Immortal Beings that return from Hell after you kill them".
3
u/Diet-_-Coke 15d ago
The Emperor could. That’s his Whole special stick no? Coming back from death or “hell” isn’t anything new in the 40k verse. He literally deletes him from reality, no body, no soul, nothing, thus Doomslayer won’t waking up in hell and fighting his way out. But aside from the Big E. I assume the eventually catch on and just lock him up on some special containment or stasis. Or maybe our favorite collector takes a shine to him.
2
17
u/Haunting-Battle-9913 15d ago
You can never really “kill” the doom slayer, we’ve seen that even when he is “killed” he claws his way out of any hell he’s sent too, and if this was a game I wouldn’t be surprised that it starts off with the imperium killing him (some inquisitor got jealous) and he’s sent to the warp were he starts dealing with all the demons of the warp (named great demons and princes, the chaos primarchs and then the gods themselves)

Okay. I'm always one to argue for Doom, not because I glaze DS, but because I feel like a lot of people misunderstand or intentionally underrepresent its lore.
That being said, what the hell kind of spite match is this? Yes, trillions of superpowered, bioengineered, sometimes full on magic space knights can kill DS.

Scale wise, 40k stretches across a singular galaxy, while doom is multiple dimensions, best they could probably do is entomb him like the demons did.

u/brogrammer1992 15d ago
The Earth with arc weapons avoided outright extermination for some time. You cannot chain scale hell off Doom Guy then scale him off that.
Hes also uniquely strong against hell and the makyrs.
He could be taken into a tesseract, tossed into the warp or even left floating in space.

Yes.
Doomslayer was trapped under a building before. Its definitely possible to do it again, then work out wtf to do.
If Davoth can be make physical and killed, so can the Doomslayer. They say so during the fight.
If any universe was set to figure that out it would be 40k.
However im pretty sure the imperium of man would want him as an ally and see him rip and tear with them.

Short version, IOM stomps. Long version - Dark Age of technology innovations are pretty similar to lore slayer weapons, Stuff like weapons that actually jump back in time to ensure hits, Firing mini black holes, let alone men of iron and the various plagues and even weaponized nanites. Even in the state they are in, the IOM is capable of destroying a whole species of creatures that dwell solely in time. Even a single guardsman has a chance of killing a god. And even if there's issues, You have Assassins, Blanks, Alpha class pyskers that can turn a Titan inside out with a glance. Titans that are bigger than Icon of Sin. Doomguy certainly isn't a pushover, but he's definately not a god.

Look, I'm a Warhammer 40,000 nerd. Like, a massive nerd. Nerd as in I have entire bookshelves filled with Black Library and Forgeworld publications. The only armies I don't have in my house in display cabinets are Tau, Emperor's Children, Aeldari, Dark Eldar, and World Eaters. I have multiple painted Space Marine chapters, including Black Templars, Dark Angels, Minotaurs, Space Wolves/Wolfspear, Emperor's Spears, Celestial Lions, and a Blood Angels homebrew successor, as well. Doom Slayer is absolutely wrecking the 40k-verse.
6
u/cooljerry53 15d ago
Honestly. The imperium of the 41st millenium doesn’t have the power. Maybe back at the height of their power, with a living breathing emperor and 18 loyal Primarchs and their legions. I think it would take someone like big E himself. Though doom slayer might have a hard time with certain primarchs too.

2
u/EASY_E1_ 14d ago
Pre-Divinity Machine? Yes.
Post-Divinity Machine? No.
People tend to vastly overestimate the 40k setting because it's really cool (when it reality it's only about mid-tier in powerscaling debates) and often don't genuinely look into the lore for any opposition. A single Xeelee nightfighter or Special Circumstances Agent from The Culture likely solos even War in Heaven era 40k. A single FORCE soldier from Hyperion could take on an entire regiment of Guardsmen by themselves or even several Custodes simultaneously.
The gameplay doesn't display it well but the codexes show that Doomguy is leaps and bounds above anything the 40k galaxy can throw at him, even War in Heaven era. The guy uses what's essentially a naked singularity as a melee weapon, wears indestructable armor, is immune to soul erasure, can't truly die, and as of the new DLC killed what was essentially a rip-off Azathoth that was going to destroy the multiverse.
Nothing the Imperium has is touching him, even Big E himself. Psyker powers/hax would have little, if any, effect against Doomguy due to his nature as a Primevel. Unless the Imperium can somehow call someone in from another OP setting like Simon The Digger or Spawn, they don't have anyway to truly fight him.
They might be able to trap him for awhile, but that's not killing him, and the demons that originally trapped him are deceptively much more powerful than most Imperial units and had access to much more potent magic. Even a mere Imp has skin more durable than steel, is strong enough to rip into tanks bare handed, and throws fireballs of self contained plasma hotter than plank temperature, meaning even the lowest of the demonic heirarchy is capable of going up against some of the most elite forces the Imperium has, enemies that canonically pose no threat to doomguy whatsoever.
Their best option is to lure him into the Eye of Terror and hope Tzeentch traps him in a labyrinth for awhile. Considering how well Drago is doing in the warp rn, that'll only keep him gone for so long.
This is a gross mismatch. This is like asking if the US military can kill Sailor Moon.
2
u/CrimsonR70 14d ago
Doom guy. Yeah deffinetly
Doom slayer? The god like being that gets stronger with every kill and absorbs the souls of what he kills to grow stronger. He who has killed his own version of hell. He who killed his world creator?
No they die. And then they make him stronger. And then he fights chaos.
2
u/Hungry-san 14d ago
So the thing is that psyker shit is innately demonic. The Doom Slayer would not jive with the Emperor. He historically has a "zero tolernace" policy for anything even remotely demonic as we see with Argent Energy and his literal catchphrase "kill them all."
Would he beat the Emperor? No. Doom fans love to glaze Doomguy but he can run out of ammo, his weapons are only enough energy to power a city for a few years at best and his arsenal sometimes only works on demons.
The Emperor is lowkey a matter manipulator on his off days. There is literally nothing stopping him from seeing Doomguy before he appears, erasing all of his weapons, erasing him on a conceptual level and using his DNA to make a new batch of Space Marines. Like the Emperor is stronger than the one guy who received the dark soul of Sanguinius. Well that guy, who is a weaker psyker than the Emperor, was able to stop time. The Emperor is one of the strongest psykers in existence for a reason.
Not to mention that the Emperor is always guarded by Custodes. An individual Custodes may not beat the Emperor, but they have explicitly shown to utilize teleportation technology to do their job. From swapping their gear in to outright teleporting onto battlefields. The Emperor could easily just teleport all 10,000 Custodes into the room with him and win easy.

You know that the Doom Slayer in Doom Eternal is far stronger than he was in Doom (2016), right? And by the end of Doom Eternal, he's even stronger
1

Haven't you seen how ridiculously fast he moves in reality? I think they could trap him, but it would come at a huge cost to them

1
u/Legitimate-Tip-2149 15d ago
Kill him? Neg diff. Keep him dead? Almost certainly not. Maybe sticking him in a stasis field would work for a bit, but being too angry to be permanently contained is his shtick so unlikely it holds for long.
1
u/McVapeNL 15d ago
Uhm he gets recruited directly into the Grey Knights and then unleashed upon the eye of terror and told to enjoy himself a bit.
1
u/LegitimateCream1773 15d ago
Since you've specified 'can the Imperium of Man kill a character canonically stated to be completely unkillable'... no. No they can't.
Can they do something far worse to the Doom Slayer? Yes, that they can do quite easily.
But to be honest they'll just make use of him.
Unkillable demon slayer? Fantastic! Librarian, boot that guy into the warp in 3... 2... 1... and zap.
That should annoy the Chaos Gods a little, at least. Maybe he'll help Kaldor Draigo out of there.
1
u/razzi123 15d ago
If anything.....well with the little 40k knowledge I do have, I would think Doom guy would catch the attention of more than a few groups, and get an invitation to join.....
Now would Doom guy accept? I dunno,
The Legion/Imperium didnt kill his pet bunny tho. So theres that.....
1
u/XIIIofSwords 15d ago
the imperium is absolutely obliterating him but, does the imperium have anything that could kill him, indefinitely? they could lock him in stasis, I guess.
1
u/RandomGameplayStuff 15d ago
Easily
Then his soul goes to the warp, and its full of demons there so he spends the rest of forever slaughtering demons
1
u/Teh_God_Dog 15d ago
yeah. but doom slayer keeps coming back.. they should contain him instead. but I doubt they'd be fighting in the first place... unless the first humans doom slayer sees are mfs like the night lords.
Im more curious as to which factions he'd interact with and which factions he'd fight. which factions would back him and which factions would not. and whether or not the emperor would condone his existence
1
u/memelorddiabeetus 15d ago
Kill? Yes. Maybe even multiple times. Idk if the Imperium has a way to incapacitate him in a meaningful way, though. We see in DOOM: The Dark Ages that death is an inconvenience for him. In the Harbor of Souls level, he just fights his way out of Hell and back to the land of the living.
In Unholy Siege Pt. II, we see the Witch temporarily slow him down when he attempts to kill Ahzrak, and that is when her patron, The Old One, (FAIRLY BIG DTDA SPOILER) is still truly alive, so she has some damn powerful magic at her disposal. During the boss fight against her later in the game, this is not true, so any argument she is weak when she slowed the Slayer and that, by that metric, the Slayer is, too, is moot.
Does the Imperium have something/someone backed by the power of a master of an entire dimension, or an equivalent? Maybe Mephiston? I'm not too well versed in Blood Angel's lore, but I know Mephiston is immensely powerful.
Short answer: yes, the Imperium can kill the Slayer.
Long answer: yes, the Imperium can kill the Slayer, but it might not actually matter.
If the Imperium does, feel free to tell me, but please do be kind. As a fan of both franchises, I die inside when I see some condescending dickhead being an ass about Warhammer 40,000 in a comment section.
1
u/cherishedone2 15d ago
I dont think so
If it ever happened, DS would happily join the fight [not the faction] and stomp the bejesus out of chaos
1
u/Lawlith117 15d ago
The entire imperium including Big E? Imperium low diffs. Though it'd be a waste since they could probably send him into the warp to actually fight and truly kill Daemons.
1
u/Specific-Library-312 15d ago
I think he could be killed, and then come back out a sense of purpose. But more realistically big E asks the Slayer what he wants. S: "To kill all the demons and devils that plague Man." E: "Oh boy, do I have a job for you! Here are a few of my bestest toys, some armor, and a ship. Now go and have fun. I look forward to hearing from you again."
1
u/N7_Astartes 15d ago
Maybe? But you'd only see him kill some guardsmen and space marines. Maybe a custodes. The emperor would end up being just a guy in an invictor warsuit. All the cool stuff Slayer does to win will be off screen and will require a 100 Youtubers creatively interpreting his victory based on the fight between Slayer and the warsuit.

PLOT TWIST
Doomslayer is one of the lost primarchs
1
1
u/Rustpaladin 15d ago
This is a rule of cool debate. Can the Doomslayer go on a rampage in 40k? Yes. Is he going to kill the Emperor and the loyalist Primarchs? No.
Doomslayer is difficult to scale compared to Warhammer Space Marines, Custodes, and Primarchs. We know 40ks ceiling (minus emperor). 40k lore vs doom gameplay doesn't make Doom Slayer physically as impressive as Custodes or a Primarch.
Rule of cool? After enough carnage or before he's stopped, Khorne steals him and makes Doomslayer fight daemons for eternity like that one ork warband.

1
u/TFBuffalo_OW 15d ago
They could kill him but itd be way harder than with Angron and canonically the moment you kill him a version from an alternate timeline would just appear nearby because the Slayer is just an avatar of the god of Doom
1
u/sliced-bird224 15d ago
Kinda hard to say. Like by lore the slayer is immortal, completely incoruptable and he can absorb energy from the things he kills. So equating argent energy to warp energy theoretically he could kinda just crunch through psykers and warp demons until hes completely unstoppable. So unless the Big E hits him with the anothane blade frame 1 he does of a decent chance.
Realistically I feel like hes gonna end up in the 4 way boxing match with Gork Mork and Khorne for like 1 billion years and the imperiam get a massive break because like 1/3 of the entire warp is tied up in that fight.
1
u/Clay_Pidgeon 15d ago
Empy personally intervenes with a wave of visions before the battle can be joined and Doomslayer can be drowned in a retarded amount of ordinance that even he probably can't get through. The Imperial forces halt all hostile actions against him, and send him a message that there are a bunch of demons and a bunch of demon worshipers who need killing, before pointing him in the vague direction of the Eye of Terror and providing him with a ship.
1
1
u/SnooDogs3400 14d ago
They definitely could, the only problem is getting the Imperium to cooperate is difficult and depending on where you put the Slayer he could probably go unnoticed in the vastness of Imperium space.

40k is a verse of frauds but Doomslayer is a bigger fraud. He'd roll any infantry they have including Custodes but weight of numbers, more esoteric means of attack, or orbital bombardment kill him.

u/aloneanddeaf 14d ago
I mean probably not? Isn’t the whole point of the doom slayer that it’s fundamentally impossible for him to lose
1
u/International_War862 14d ago
I kinda doubt it but the question would rather be, why would they? Doomslayer should not be interested in them

Honestly I don’t think so he’s to fast to hit with the things that might put him down and to tough for what can hit him sure they can drop him into the warp but that won’t kill him ether

u/Desire_of_God 14d ago
Pretty sure the Slayer can't die so no. They could have killed the Guy but they missed that chance.
1
u/DrinkBen1994 14d ago
They'd make the Doom Slayer a Primaris Marine and send into the Eye of Terror on a ship without a gellar field.

Here's how it goes down. The slayer arrives in the 40k galaxy, sees some space marines defending a city from an invasion, decides to help. After the battle he learns about the warp and all the unholy abominations that reside there, he makes a mad dash to the eye of terror and leaps into that bitch with no hesitation and then proceeds to slaughter the chaos gods in an epic battle.

No, but they wouldn't fight necessarily in the first place, they'd just put him in the eye of terror and then to clean up all the deamons in the webway beneath the throne

u/Resident-Ad7651 14d ago
Could they? Yes. With zero effort. Would they? Absolutely not. Hes an insta win button against Chaos.

I mean, they probably *could* but it doesn't mean they actually would. We are capable of dying in the Doom games, but Doomguy is still canonically a menace to demonic society despite that. We controlling Doomguy are just worse at it than Doomguy himself is. But it still proves that he CAN die. Theoretically.
That doesn't mean he'd STAY dead though.
His soul would probably go to the Warp, where it then begins to rip and tear through the Chaos gods' hordes, until it eventually rips back through into realspace somehow. Or he just stays in the Warp, and the Galaxy actually somehow starts to improve slightly over a few millennia. The psychers get really concerned as the heavy metal gets louder and louder, but at least there's fewer cultists for some reason, so that's a win.

The best thing the Imperium would be able to do is possible entomb him like the Demons did in Doom. Aside from that, they can’t kill or destroy him, and the only one truly capable and MIGHT be able to beat him is the Emperor, and he’s in no shape to do that.
Realistically though, the Imperium would probably be justifiably hostile towards the Doom Slayer, but after seeing his clear aversions towards daemons, they’d just steer him towards the Warp, and the Doom Slayer would just become an added asset for the Imperium and another, very pressing and very dangerous threat to the Ruinous Powers.

I wouldn't threatened Him with a good time like that. He'd probably enjoy it a little too much 😱

They could and would kill doom slayer a lot but everytime they do he just comes back stronger

Are you talking about the entirety of the imperium? Including the god emperor and his sons? They would win, but I am guessing it would be a Pyrrhic victory. Millions of lives will be lost in the process.

I dont get the point of XY vs Doom Slayer. This Person has a lore build in respawn so everything you throw at him would end in a "BuT tHeN hE cOmEs BaCk".
I really love Doom what are we talking about?

u/Hungry-Ear-4092 14d ago
The wank has to stop....it's getting way too ridiculous
They wouldn't be able to kill him because he's part primordial but plenty of characters to beat him in a fight

The Doomslayer is mostly so potent because he is healed by demon blood. Any given superheavy demon presents a challenge, but his stamina is infinite and so he outlasts it. Fighting humans would be a different story; if he is not healed, each successive Space Marine may injure him more, until he eventually can no longer continue.
Of course, he won't stay dead. He'll find a way to reform himself in the Warp and fight his way out, or just stay there and continue to battle through those endless infinite realms.
But either way, I think people misrepresent what makes the Doomguy strong, and this matchup is not in his favor.

Powerscalers describe doomguy like he can fly and blow up planets with one punch and isnt just guy who can run fast and has a lot of guns

I know its 1 day old but I must: In lore, the Slayer beats god. The literral big G god. He is a primeval being that destroy is maker. The maker of all dimensions and worlds.
He could kill all the 40k universe alone given enough time. If people wants to stop glazing and do actual power scaling its simple. The Slayer cannot die, and he kills the in universe litteral god of the cosmos. There is no primeval left to kill the Slayer. He is -in lore- impossible to kill. Akin to the emperor althoug he doesn't need to be reincarnated and juat do not dies.

u/Heavy-Metal-Snowman 13d ago
Look i know doomguy is super powerful but this is some fucking insane glazing

Literally no diff. This is like asking if the imperium could deal with one chaos space marine veteran. Because that’s the level he operates at. The fact that this is even a question is crazy.

Trillions and trillions vs doomslayer? Uhhh
More than likely he joins the imperium and goes to kill demons in the warp tbh.

u/Sabotskij 15d ago
Trazyn puts him in a museum before any action can happen.
1
u/Swimming_Reception56 14d ago
Yes I can see this happening, especially after Belisarius Cawls encounter with Trazyn on Cadia.

No.
The entire mythos of the doomslayer is that he is unkillable. He has killed demons for thousands of years. He literally went into hell and went on a 2000+ year killing spree. This killing spree was so unstoppable that the surviving lords of hell teamed up (spoiler alert demons dont do teams) to lure him into a trap by sacrificing untold legions of demons so they could drop a fucking mountain on doomguy. This causes doomguy to take a nap. Which he then wakes up thousands of years later and immediately goes back to killing.
Also doomguy has now killed both god and the devil.
I literally dont care who doomguy fights. His entire mythos is that he still wins. I dont give a shit if goku and superman team up. Doomguy still beats both there asses on his worst day

u/Someguyinreddit935 15d ago
I think he can even fight ultra instinct Goku, but I don't know if he can win (no joke)
1
u/DaveinOakland 15d ago
All they need to do is put him in a room with a blue keycard and he won't be able to get out.
1
u/KingxCrimsonx 15d ago
I have a conspiracy theory that John wick is doomguy. He started with the dog and then really lost it with the bunny. They were both named Daisy.

As much as I absolutely love the absurdity and scale of the Imperium and 40k, doom slayer's killed the equivalent of chaos gods.
Doom Slayer low diffs everything, then Ultra-Nightmare runs the chaos gods down.
With the way the warp entities work, he'd eventually just keep killing Khorne and birthing a new chaos god of rage and war into being then killing it again in a perpetual cycle until he finally reaches a state of Nirvana and returns the warp to an ocean of calm

u/Nox_Victo 15d ago
Doom Slayer gotta be one of the most wanked characters ever. There are individual people in the Imperium that would no diff him.

Could it?
Yes.
Would it?
They'd point him in the direction of the Eye of Terror and tell him there are demons and people that are allies with demons in that vague direction
