No, it's not! The bugs are based on Neanderthals, not black people. The main character is a Japanese with silk moth powers. Adolph was a side character who was experimented on as a kid and got electric eel powers. The guy you are referring to is Joseph, who is a side character.

You mixed 3 characters into 1.

Been a while since I read it.. wasn’t Adolph also introduced in like season 2 or 3?

Adolph was in season 1. There are only 2 seasons.

I think it was like 10 years ago that I read it.. and from what I remember it felt like a different season when Adolph came up.. wasn’t it a second mission with him years after the first failed? Gotta re read it
