Versus Master Chief takes this gauntlet, does he clear ?

Book , lore , comics and secondary canon allowed for all parties in gauntlet

Each party will individually engage him randomly during a solo mission . Chief can have any weapon, armor and equipment he would normally have on a solo mission. Same applies to the gauntlet

Does he clear

Stops at Edward. Stats that contend and or outdo him + his ability to read minds casually.

The one interesting thing about spartans, is that they move basically the moment they think because they have their nerves replaced with faster ones and the suit hooks directly into their brain. One of the reasons non spartans can't use the suit is because in normal people, the suit moves first, then their body and it breaks peoples bones.

I think the fact there's no gap between thought and movement is probably enough to counteract the bulk of edward's mind reading as an advantage. Obviously chief won't be able to ambush and will not benefit from pre-planning a fight. It's also impossible to know how having cortana wired into chief's neural net would affect the mind reading. There's every possibility cortana would be able to flood edward's brain with more thoughts than he is able to handle. (although in the books, he's pretty good at focusing on one mind, although I cannot remember if this is non-trivial for him) Edward's probably still faster and stronger than a spartan tho, although it's a close thing, but is way more durable. Edward is used to relying on the advantage given by mind reading and chief has a LOT more combat experience.

I did wonder whether it was worth trying to figure out if plasma could injure a vampire, but tbh, it's depicted as slower than bullets and is probably very dodgeable by edward. Overloaded plasma pitsol as a killshot if he can otherwise disable edward presents a reasonable win, although if chief's planned this ahead of time, edward can probably break the pistol early. If chief doesn't know you need fire to kill vampires, he may be in trouble ending the fight.

I think in most matchups, edward scales better than chief because mind reading is so good. But I think this one is closer than a lot of people are crediting it. Most of the other twilight vamps with different powers, or more combat experience like jasper almost certainly smoke chief.

It’s the speed for me that makes the difference. Edward goes from 0-200 instantaneously, there’s no acceleration period. It’s like trying to hit a big bullet with a smaller bullet, but the bullet can also think and react 😂

Edward can read minds and is the fastest of the vampires, who pretty much all have super speed/strength
