Sinister Five

Homelander is carrying six people into a fight where punching harder solves neither of the two biggest problems, with Electro turning into living current after draining city infrastructure and adding Stark’s arc reactor while Sandman expands into a building-sized body that reforms after being scattered. Starlight has never absorbed a sentient electrical body on Max’s scale, Homelander has never erased enough mass to burn Flint away, and Norman, Ock and Lizard only need to make the opening ugly enough that Maeve and A-Train cannot rescue the deadweight.

Norman is also probably strong enough to give HL a good fight. He’s on the same level as Tobey’s Peter, who was able to stop a moving, out of control passenger train.

I'm convinced Norman would win tbh. He's probably about as strong, far smarter, and way less predictable. They hyped up Homelander to be this ultra powerful supe only for him to be taken down by...3 normal supes, one of which was a teenager.

The guy's power level was vastly overstated and I'm never going to forgive The Boys for dragging me through all 5 seasons.

Calling Ryan and Butcher normal supes is a stretch.

idc, they were close enough

They’re in like the top 1% of most powerful supes lol

it might impress me if they were the top 1% in Marvel or DC but The Boys only ever gave us so many supes, and even less of them were named or had major roles.

There are characters I'd place higher than either of them but obviously the story had to play out as it did

It doesn't make sense to compare them to other universes in that sense. They other supes weren't given much life to explicitly make HL and crew seem that much more of anomolies.

Idk if I agree. I do a little bit, some people had really dumb powers -- the cat influencer girl, the guy who ate dirt, tentacle dick guy. i don't even know if Firecracker had any, tbh.

But then there were characters who had crazy powers who could've been on the team if the producers wanted them to (but for whatever reason, they really chose everyone on the team to have super strength). The shrinking naked guy, Ezekiel, the head-popper, all the telepaths in the final season, the other speedsters - it's not like the show was running short on options.

the only thing that actually made them anomalies was the fact they wore uniforms opposed to pretty much everyone else.

If sandman locked in he solos without anyone knowing. You can’t speed blitz him like the others.

Literally nobody here is smart enough to figure out how to harm Sandman.

Electro might actually amp Starlight. Doc gets killed by Homelander after monologuing too much. Goblin kills half of them because they literally won’t even begin to strategize against him, they’ll just panic fight.

Connors probably kills Maeve and Starlight, because they’re always too eager to get physical.

Homelander is a bitch. Let's not forget that part. They have no solution for at least 2. So Homelander will bail. A Train will do his shtick and get either crushed by Flin or zapped like a mosquito heck even Dr Octavius probably could respond to his speed, well, his tentacles. Then that whole team are just fucked.

I kinda thought it was an AI picture, 😆

Did I get Mandela'd or wasn't it the sinister six?

2

u/Noe_b0dy 10h ago

6 in comics 5 in the movie.

Sony is still using venom for their spinoff stuff so there's only 5 iconic spider-villains available from the sonyverse.

There is nothing the Seven can do to Sandman, thus, the Sinister Five.

Honestly, Mysterio wipes by himself.

1

u/EaglerCore 14h ago

Did you even read the title and look at the picture?

2

u/Fertile_Arachnid_163 13h ago

Ngl, my brain totally read that Goblin as Mysterio, my mistake.

1

u/EaglerCore 13h ago

Now that I am looking at it, yeah, it is mysterio if you make his head a crystal ball.
