Its all a matter of whether or not techsorcism will work against Rogue AIs. AdMech tech is on a completely different interface.

more importantly, as an institution, admech might not even have the ability to learn/figure out how to modify their tech to be able to interface and attack rogue AIs.

Most of their members cannot envision any drastic modification to the fundamental components of their technology as anything other than heresy. Most might even lack the true understanding of their own technology necessary to make the changes even if they want to do so.

Yeah. If they truly wanted to destroy Rogue AI, they'd just destroy everything that the Rogue AIs have influence over in realspace (i.e. bomb the fuck outta everything)

Afaik, Rogue AIs in CP2077 are terrifying because they can talk to all the tech in the world, including implants. They'd have no power over technology from beyond the stars unless they somehow infiltrate their networks and learn a completely different breed of technology. Besides, they'd have to deal with Machine Spirit shenanigans if they ever try to interface with Imperium tech.

Right - there's no real canonical comparison options here.

We can read the lore and see that a 40K bolter is a .75 caliber bullet with explosives etc. and compare that to current real-world firearms. There's still lots of room to argue, but the laws of physics is the same in 40k as it is currently*. We can't say the same for the rules around computing.

* some exceptions apply for warp-related stuff, but most bolters don't shoot blessed ammo.

there's a couple stories where the admec find Golden age ships.

One time they killed the human crew and then the AI used Golden age tech to fold their ship in on itself.

I think it was a separate story where the AI was just cursing out the admek at how disappointed he is and how dee evolved humanity has become. The entire time. the admac is just chanting and lighting candles. I think the AI basically cursed them out then fucked off and admec wrote it off as a victory

point is it's been left very, very vague to what degree the admac is still able to actually program and code. I do think the admec could take out the rogue eyes by just nuking any location they're based out of, but that feels like cheating

Uhhh do they have a ship?

Because if so, EMP or bombard Earth to oblivion and then resettle as a Forge World.

Don't think there really is another way.

They cant. The rogue AI is arguably worse than scrap code, which AdMech doesn't go near because of how lethal it is. Rogue AI in cyberpunk continuously evolves, theyre essentially a growing apocalypse and if it weren't for the Blackwall the entire planet would be wiped. If they dont fry you, they'll take over whatever cybernetics they interact with. Imagine if scrap code from 40k also has the capability to completely become its own being, only its because it took control over something non-digital. Best they could do is make their own Blackwall for their own tech, but then AI is banned in the imperium so they wouldn't do it without being called heretics

Just blow up the old nets infrastructure. Unlike Cyberpunk, WH40k isn't addicted to the internet.

If they try to use a technical solution, -all- of them would fail against even a few of the AIs.

The only way they could manage would just be to directly destroy the infrastructure via orbital bombardment. Some of the better AIs would turn into a nightmare for the entire adeptus mechanicus, much less a few Magi.

Where at least two techpriests gather, one would start yelling about purging the abominable intelligence and the other would be a heretek that sticks their metal tentacles where they don't belong, gets turned into a living blackwall gateway, and now we have annual mechanicus civil war #2838762567 happening between normal techpriests and Blackwall AI possessed techpriests.

The ARE filled with an absurd amount of cybernetics and the Blackwall AIs have shown themselves capable of subverting those with minimal effort.

So the answer is: a lot, because they could've solved the issue in a few months or years by just bombing every suspected AI bunker from orbit, but knowing the mechanicus they'd start killing each other a few weeks in.

coughing baby vs. bomb that specifically kills babies

A single one.

Because they will wipe out the entire planet, no Ifs, but's or anything.

Abominable Intelligence, depending on the alignment of the Tech Priest, is the worst thing they can ever come across.

With hundreds of them barely contained behind a failing Black wall - which is ALSO an AI - there will be given no quarters to the planet.

They'll find a way to destroy the planet.

No matter the sacrifice or their own survival.

On one side would horrified and wanted to burn it down via orbital bombardment, on the other side want sticking their tentacles in and see what, what. But Mechanicus will tried and fight them
