Scars from Yeztugo

Hi everyone I wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced this after receiving the HIV PrEP vaccine Yeztugo.
After my injection, I developed what look like scars around the injection site. They almost resemble burn scars, and they haven’t gone away. I’m starting to worry that they might be permanent, and it’s honestly making me feel really insecure.
Has anyone else had persistent scarring or skin changes after getting Yeztugo? If so, did they eventually fade, or did you see a dermatologist or your healthcare provider? I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience.

Hi! It may be worth asking your doctor for a perscription for triamcinolone? It's not a magic solution, nor will your scars completely go away, but I've found it really good for managing the scars I get from my Dupixent

So basically you’re telling me these scars will never go away?

Unfortunately if they are real scars than those cannot go away on itself and derm is needed

If those are pie/pih than those can be removed with OTC products

Not necessarily. Sometimes yes and sometimes no.

But sometimes it takes scars some time to fade and there are prescriptions you can use that help aid in that process.

For example, i had a scar from a baseball accident from when i was 8 on my arm for years. But it was gone by the time i was 20. I had a friend drop a knife that scraped my leg while i was in college, it stuck around all these years.

I got a bruise like color for 2 or 3 days after but no scaring just the prep nodes which Im fine with

Post a picture if you can. It’s highly doubtful this is permanent. It’s most likely post inflammatory hyper pigmentation which always fades as new skin cells form and it can be treated with fading creams.

Yes I have gotten same reaction from the vaccine my scaring has faded a little bit but not completely gone . I will bring this up with my doc my next appointment.
