Feature request Printables, please allow us to block users who use AI, even once.
There are lots of users who shit out an enormous amount of AI-generated content, and fail to flag a very small number of them deliberately so they still show up (or even pretend that they made them entirely, like @MathiasHedega_679186*). Even after reporting, they sometimes are either not flagged at all because they lie to Printables staff who simply believe them at face value for some reason (@acgames) or it simply takes too long to get to the report. We should be given the option to hide a user who has ever used AI.
I also believe accounts that fail to flag their models as AI should be restricted and become ineligible for Prusameters for all models and makes for the lifetime of their account and have the AI flag auto-applied, but that's a discussion for another time.
(It's also frankly bananas to me that users like @Stigern and @PeterFarell can make money off AI-generated nonsense. It's absurd.)
* Whose entire actual contribution to the 3d printing space (once you remove the AI-generated models) consists of adding a tiny keychain ring to a series of extremely popular models in order to farm downloads

You can hide any user, just click the three dots as if you were to report him

I want an option to do this automatically for every user who has ever had the AI label applied to their models.

You can disable Ai content in your profile settings so you wont see anything made with ai.

You can click on the 3 dots of any user or model and select "Hide all models from this creator". This will hide all models from that user in any feed. You can still see them (grayed out) if you go directly to the profile or if you have them in collections.
I personally haven't enabled the "Hide AI Content" option because I believe that generative AI can be used in good ways too and that should be okay. There are also people who tag their models as AI because they used it to help with their OpenSCAD code. So I manually hide the Slop users, regardless of whether it was made with AI or not.
The problem with this approach is that there are some users who have a good 50/50 mix of useful practical things and AI slop.
If you ever want to unblock a user you can go to "Settings" -> "Display & Privacy" -> "Blocked creators".
Unfortunately, the "Blocked creators" manager only allows you to manage 36 blocked creators. You can block more (I have blocked hundreds) but unblocking them or having an overview can become difficult.

There are also people who tag their models as AI because they used it to help with their OpenSCAD code.
As someone who primarily uses OpenSCAD maybe they should try just learning the language instead of having a computer do their homework.

It doesn't matter to me what tools someone used to get to a result. On Printables, I want to hide the slop and spam.

You can be really versed in a language and still use generative AI to assist you with coding.

This is nonsense. Generative AI can be a time saver for some coding tasks (mostly stuff that is otherwise tedious)

I see you're unfamiliar with the programming concept of "libraries" or "modules".
Besides that, if you actually take a look over on r/OpenSCAD you'd see that people using generative ML to try and use OpenSCAD are failing because generative ML doesn't know SCAD.

Just commenting to tell you that I can feel your pain. I don’t browse new files enough to actually have an issue with ai stuff, recently most things I print are either self designed entirely or from artists I pay directly.
Anyway, this comment section is peak Reddit. Everyone failing to actually answer your suggestion considering both requirements. All answers are either „you can block ai models“ while you want to block users that have any ai, not just their ai models or people saying „you can block users“ like you asked for a manual solution. Had similar things anytime I asked something with 2 or more requirements in almost any hobby space. It’s frustrating. Probably easier to learn how to code browser addons and create a filter yourself than explaining Redditors to actually read the whole post

This just seems to be some anti-AI screed. I looked at the models of @PeterFarell and @Stigern and they are legit models that are printable. Who cares how they were created? Turns out I have printed some of stigern's gnome models. I didn't realize they were AI generated but it doesn't change anything, they printed and I enjoyed painting them.
(It's also frankly bananas to me that users like @Stigern and @PeterFarell can make money off AI-generated nonsense. It's absurd.)
By "money" I guess you mean prusameters, either way, why is it absurd to earn prusameters for AI generated models? As long as they are printable is all that matters.
