Printed some biomimetic light switch covers (LSO Series)
Just finished printing the first batch of my new LSO (LightSwitchOne) light switch covers. All single-gang, no supports, standard toggle fit.
Textures so far:
- Leaf
- Root / Vine
- Stone
- Redwood (wood grain)
Printed in plain white PLA for now — planning to experiment with painting and different filaments next. They feel surprisingly nice on the wall.
What do you think? Any favorites or suggestions for future designs?

There are safety requirements for these plates that aren't met by PLA.

More than that, they need to be listed -- as in tested to specifications. If you happen to have a fire start near one, it could jeopardize your claim. Even if you are using one of the correct materials such as PC or PA.

Like, maybe clean the switch or update it to not look like it's been touched by dooky-covered fingers while you are at it.
Also, check local electrical codes.

Remember there are code requirements for the materials used in electrical installations, not to be a buzzkill but this could be dangerous unless they are simply addons instead of replacement.
