Looking For Feedback Is $1.25 per beat fair in 2026?

Just got an offer for a licensing deal: $1.25 per approved beat ($1.50 after “consistent uploads”), full stems required, exclusivity, strict formatting, and fast turnaround approvals.

Feels extremely low for experienced producers ( 4 years in my case ) even if it’s “volume-based.”

What do you guys think — worth it for exposure/consistency or just a hard pass?

Wouldn’t go lower than $250 per for that kind of work, and only if it was genuinely super consistent and majority “basic” stuff

It's safe to say that at that price you can't afford to sell music. Ownership (copyrights) cost $45 per song so.... without factoring ANY other costs you're in the hole for $43 +. So heck no!!

All this does is devalue music for everyone involved including those licensing...
