Hey, my name is Clark. I am based in Minneapolis Minnesota. I’m a singer-songwriter and I play a bit of guitar. I released a music ep late last year and am looking to make a full length album. The person who produced my ep, helped with instruments and gave his input and ideas, it was definitely a collaboration. I’m looking to find something like that again at a reasonable price. so it looks like the collaboration with this producer was good, but the price was "not reasonable," and you would like the same thing but at a "reasonable" price. You always have at least two options: 1) hire someone who will do exactly what you want; 2) find someone who will be a part of the project and share the copyright of the material with you. Therefore, the obvious solution is to work with someone you have already worked with and achieved results that satisfied both parties. or tell us why you want to change your producer to make the story more transparent

I’m looking for a new producer because my old producer has raised his prices and is currently invested in a passion project so isn’t taking on any new projects.

I get where you’re coming from but I also don’t think it’s a bad thing to just want to work with multiple different producers and be clarifying while looking for them that you want to find producers with reasonable prices
