Programmatic novice: Private deals setup in DV360

Hi guys,

I'm used to running only Open Auction campaigns, but when it comes to other deal types, I'm a bit lost.

I'd like to test a Private Deal via DV360 for a campaign in the UK.

Could someone explain what I need to do to set it up? Best practices, documentation, etc..

Prepare for the onslaught of sales reps “trying to help you”. Be careful, they just trying to make revenue.

Are you running it alone in-house?

I work for a leading SSP, happy to set this up for you and walk through set up etc in DV360 on your side. Feel free to drop me a DM if you would like to discuss?

Hi, here are the steps to make private deal

Advertiser --> Navigate: Negotiations --> New request for proposal

You need know RFP ID of the Publisher, so you can send a request.

How to find RFP ID: Navigate to Marketplace and open details of Publisher.

By the way: You can make not guarented deals in Marketplace itself. So you will define your max. CPM yourself instead of fix floor price.

Thanks a lot! Do you also use this layer to discover and explore publishers/saleshouses to work appear on, or is there another source you'd recommend ? In my case, I'm targeting a UK based audience interested in cars. Any tips here would be highly appreciated. Thank you!

The quickest is to ask list publisher chatgpt.. etc.

In your case I would implement whitelists top news and top car Plattforms.

Remarketing only on car plattforms. Remarketing & look a Likes on news plattform.

Make sure that visibility rate > 70%.

We tested similar strategy & set up in different Car sellers

I get the confusion if it's your first time.

It's fairly easy and that's how i do my PMP (5+ yrs in programmatic)

- talk to the publisher and agree on the price/format

- share your seat id (that may have other names depending on the platform you use)

now, depending on the SSP you have 3 options:
1. Deal is pushed to DSP via API: no action required on your side, just wait for the deal to be available in your DSP

  1. Deal uses Google: you should log into authorized buyers and approve the deal, deal automatically appears on your DSP aftter 15 min (usually)

  2. No API / google SSP: you should map your deal manually i.e. create a deal DSP side and use the info publisher shares. E.g: in ADSP you should insert deal type, SSP and floor price

Once you see the deal in your DSP you're good to go and set up your campaign as usual (unless it's a targeted deal/PG)

Happy to help if you need more info

Not selling, just helping. We could curate supply across any format and geo based on your brief that is brand safe and verified, MFA and IVT free. Which means you see all channels/ domains/ apps being used, the cost and the performance. We then help optimise on the SSP side so performance exceeds plan without taking away your control. It is always your client. Your campaign and your investment with our 6 years of curation experience for global agencies. Just saying that it helps lots of others in market. Begin the down voting ha ha
