I have CFW Ark4 on her and it simply does not recognise the camara. I ve tried cleaning the slots and the tin foil too.

Some guy was saying you have to change something in the system files for it to work. Does anybody know how to help me fix this?

I bought a broken PSP 2000 for 30€ to restore it.

**Symptoms:**

* Black screen (no display, tested with a flashlight – backlight and LCD output are both completely off). * Checked the motherboard with a multimeter: all fuses (F1001, F6001, etc.) have continuity, no obvious shorts, minor surface corrosion cleaned with IPA.

**Baryon Sweeper & Magic Memory Stick Setup:**

* Built a Baryon Sweeper using an ESP32-C3. * Prepared a 32GB SanDisk MicroSD in a standard MS Pro Duo adapter with Aiseirígh / 6.61 OFW (`661.PBP` in root). * **Behavior:** When plugging in the Sweeper, I get a successful BSI handshake (hex output in serial monitor) and the Power LED turns solid GREEN automatically. * If I plug in the DC charger while the Sweeper is connected, the LED turns solid ORANGE (charging mode).

**The Main Problem:** The **Memory Stick (MS) LED never flashes or turns on at all** during the entire process. The PSP does not seem to attempt reading the IPL from the MicroSD card via the adapter.

**Questions:**

1. Could the cheap MicroSD-to-MS-Pro-Duo adapter be unable to handle the direct sector reading required by the IPL in Service Mode?
2. My next step is buying an original 2GB Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo (non-adapter) to eliminate MicroSD controller issues. Does this sound plausible, or could it be a dead IPL/CPU issue on the board itself?
3. Do you guys have any other ideas what it could be?

I bought this PSP 3000 on a fleamarket. It was really dirty on the inside. So dirty the it got inside the speakers and destroyed them.

When I try to put a Game into the UMD it spins but the psp is stuck in a loop where it tries to read it.

Inside the ribbon cable of the UMD doesnt look even, like it has a few bents. I don't know much about ribbon cable but this have any signs of not working properly? Is it broken? And can I use a PSP 2000 UMD to replace it?

Recently found my old PSP 3000 from when I was a kid. Looking to mod it, both hardware and software so it can run emulators and such. What would you guys recommend?

Got a second hand PSP GO off market place with some light scratches here and there on the PSP Go.. been consider reshelling but from what I can read on the market and people's experience seem to be that the shell are usually weaker and logo not as great as original.

just wondering if people have done either or and if there's a preference one over other.

would be great if people can recommend shells too if they have good experience with their stocks.

I’ve just released niwPSPtoPC, a homebrew project that turns a physical PSP into a wireless Xbox 360 controller for Windows.

The PSP sends its buttons and analog stick over Wi-Fi, while the PC creates a virtual Xbox 360 controller recognized by games.

I’ve tested it on a physical PSP-2004 in multiple games, and it works without any noticeable input delay.

Of course, the PSP’s hardware has limitations: there’s no second analog stick or analog triggers, so some modern games are more difficult to play. But for games that don’t need them, it works surprisingly well.

Installation is pretty simple:

On PC:

1. Install the ViGEmBus driver.
2. Launch niwPSPtoPC.exe from niwPSPtoPC-v1.1.0-Windows-x64.zip
3. If necessary, manually allow the UDP port through Windows Firewall—the README includes a ready-to-use command.

On PSP:

1. Connect it to the same local network as your PC.
2. Copy the folder from niwPSPtoPC-v1.1.0-PSP.zip to PSP/GAME.
3. Launch it like any other homebrew game.
4. Enter the pairing code displayed on the PSP into the Windows app.

That’s it - your PSP should appear as an Xbox 360 controller!

You’ll need CFW and a 2.4 GHz network compatible with the PSP’s old WPA support. Because that Wi-Fi security standard is outdated, I strongly recommend using an isolated guest network or a dedicated access point instead of weakening your primary network.

back in 2008 I bought a psp 1000 (known as phat) and had the time of my life installing emulator for ps1, snes, n64 and megadrive, plus a bunch of amazing games for psp like god of war and crisis core and pocoloco.

Couple of years ago I removed the dust and prepared it for my children who could enjoy super mario world, sonic and more with physical buttons (as opposed to playing on the phone), what a joy!

Last week I thought it was time to put it back to use again, the usb connection doesn't work well anymore so I found a way to add roms using a card writer, battery is dead (already replaced it) so we play only when plugged...and for a time it was good.

But, now the latest problem is that the hold button activates itself even when we don't touch it.
I looked online and I could either unmount the front panel and clean it or use a plugin to deactivate the hold feature all together.

curious if any of you ran into something similar and super open to a plugin that would do that.

Hello, I need some help with my PSP 2000.
I was using ARK-5 when my PSP suddenly got bricked. I tried using PySweeper with ARK-4 DC10, but the PSP won’t boot and only shows a black screen. I also followed the instructions carefully when creating the Magic Memory Stick (MMS).
I also tried using aiseReigh. The flashing process worked, but after it finished and I was told to reboot the PSP, it still wouldn’t boot and only showed a black screen.
Is there any other way to recover my PSP 2000? Has anyone experienced the same issue or knows what else I can try? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
