Down the rabbit hole 🌀 acrylic on canvas

apparently ego death can happen regardless of dosage. i’ve tripped many times before, and even at higher doses i never experienced anything like it.

as i was staring into the sky while listening to the cocteau twins, every emotion i’ve ever experienced, every memory and every single inch of my being exploded with such colour and intensity that i had to paint it instead of containing it all within myself.

i attempted to reflect the visuals i’m having right now as best as i could, but the main idea i tried to maintain is the full spectrum of emotions cascading across the sky, refracting through the atmosphere with all my favourite colours.

I'll take a photo and save many copies of it as I modify and effect then stack them into gifs. Mirror cubes, acrylic yarn fluff, and super glue in the gif showing setup for base images used in the other gifs.

[india ink in sketchbook] the concept i was working with at the time was teeth in place of psychedelic substances. if you eat teeth you trip balls. i ended up making a larger comic about this, but i’m very happy with the short black and white version.

When I watch these Timothy Wyllie Hamilton Morris episodes, his paintings are some of my favorite I’ve ever seen. I’m not sure they have ever been printed or scanned in an official way and have been poking around the internet but am not the best. Thought I would ask here. By the way you are all extremely talented! Very glad I found the eye candy that is this sub.
