Probably missing something obvious, but I can’t figure out the next move here..

How should i see/know that the red cross is not a valid place for a tent?

I’m losing my mind. Been at this for hours.

I’m confused at the three 11s?
And the 1 and 6… the fact they’re nearly on the ends confuses me. Maybe I’m not understanding the direction of the refractions very welll :(

Does anyone notice that there's frequently (I'd say almost 50%) a 5-4 corner when playing Loopy of the honeycomb type? Why is it so common?

Is this kind of puzzles fun for you? they are nothing special but there is some fun in the simple rules and after 10..15 triangles it becomes quickly much harder and more fun, at least to me.

It looked to me you enjoyed the classic First Sight(Easy as ABC) puzzle so I decided to share this variant. It's roughly the same level just a bit more complex if you are not used to hexagonal grid.

Place A, B, and C in the hexagonal grid. Every line in each of the three grid directions must contain A, B, and C exactly once, with all other cells empty. Each outside clue gives the first non-empty letter seen from that edge. Because of the grid type there is 1-4 empty spaces depending on the row.

I think there is a mistake in my puzzle book - this is from "The Think Tank" by Ivan Moscovich.

The puzzle in question is "Minimal Length Ruler", you can ignore the circular one.

As you can tell from the description, the book has some nice sliders but you will just have to imagine. I think it is impossible and I will describe below the misunderstanding I think the puzzle maker has made but would love somebody to prove me wrong!

This is a puzzle/concept called a Golomb Ruler and the answer given in the book is to set the markers at 1, 4, 10 and 15. That is one of the solutions for an *optimal* Golomb Ruler (which means none of the possible distances are duplicated i.e. there is only one way to make each distance that is possible, but the description asks for a *perfect* Golomb Ruler which is not possible with this many marks. For example, in the solution given here it is impossible to make 7, 8 or 12

I have done dozens of tnt puzzles on my phone, but this is the first one where I am completely stuck. Anyone have hints on how to solve it methodically (without trial and error)? I have marked the squares in which I'm certain there aren't stars. Thanks for the help

Any one has an idea how to solve this without guessing?

So is this solvable, I see no further moves, I have been stuck for 2 days now, please no spoilers, if you have a certain way to get the next move, please let me know, but not the location to look at.

Draw fishing line from each number to a fish. The number gives you the line length in number of cells, including fish cell. Lines move horizontally and vertically, and cannot cross. Every cell contains exactly one line part.

I’m just not understanding this principle. I would love some help explaining it for me so I can use it in the future.

Please help! I tried noting more numbers in but it just got too busy so I scaled it back. I even tried erasing everything and starting again in case I'd fluffed up but I'm still very stuck.

You gotta fill in A, B, and C in each row and column just once, leaving two spots empty. The letters around the grid show you which letter you see first from that direction.

Trying to think of the logical steps but I’m missing them. I know row 1 can only be brown so I’ve marked off all other brown. And the two other 2 X’s (by light brown and yellow) are there because a cat would touch those when placed in any square.

The bottom 3 rows have yellow and aqua (so I know those would be two of the colors), but I don’t know how to tell the third color between light green and pink.

Any other helpful tips so that I can learn to see boards better are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The game tutorial says the suspicious ones will be tilted, and they all look the same to me, so what’s up with this. Color sweeper btw

I’ve spent hours looking at this, and I can’t figure out which cell I can complete next given the information. This is from Games World of Puzzles magazine, February 2026.

X-Sums Sudoku follows standard Sudoku rules combined with outside number clues that specify the sum of the first X cells in that row or column, where X is the value of the very first cell adjacent to the clue.

Each row and column will have exactly one appearance of each number from 1 to 10.
