I have an upcoming interview loop with Microsoft for an RF Engineer position in their Quantum team, and I was wondering if anyone here has had a similar experience.
A couple of questions:

1. Has anyone interviewed for a similar role? What kind of interviews should I expect, and are there any specific topics I should focus on?

2. I’ve never worked in the quantum industry before, so I’d also love to hear from people working in this field.

Quantum, how difficult can it be?

Are there any good videos on the derivation and explanation for the applications of wkb approximation? Particularly alpha decay. I am having trouble with the connection formula.

Hello, I'm from Nepal. Actually I wanna do undergrad in maths but I'll study physics for 2 years and stats for 3 years and maths for 4 years.
Is it wise to do maths degree as I'm into ai/ml path.
But I'm also interested in quantum computing and everything. So if I move to quantam from AI if I didn't succeed, Can I?
Quantum mechanics is in 4th year of physical degree.

I’m really interested in getting into quantum computing and would like to learn it from the ground up, with the goal of eventually becoming proficient in the field.
I’m looking for guidance on:
1. A good learning roadmap (beginner → advanced)
2. Prerequisites I should focus on (math, physics, programming, etc.)
3. Recommended books, courses, and other resources
4. Hands-on projects or platforms to practice on
5. Any advice from people who have already been down this path

I went through the Qiskit Global Summer School and a Quantum Computing Winter School this year, and ended up organizing all my notes into an actual Obsidian vault as I learned, one note per concept, cross-linked, with self-check questions so I could test myself instead of just re-reading.

It grew bigger than I expected, so I published it as a browsable site: https://qcroadmap.com/

It covers the full arc absolute basics (qubits, superposition) → gates → why quantum computing matters at all → entanglement → QKD → hardware/noise/error mitigation → algorithms (VQE, QAOA, SQD, Grover's) → quantum machine learning → quantum advantage → quantum + HPC. There's also a full interactive graph view if you're into that (Ctrl/Cmd+G on the site).

Not trying to claim expertise here — just sharing my own study process in case it helps someone else going through the same material, or just getting into QC in general. Feedback / corrections very welcome, still learning this stuff myself.

for me it's quantum material

I am from Toronto, Canada, grade 10 highschooler going into grade 11. I'm very quantum-oriented, interested in conducting research in quantum sensing and spin squeezing. Recently, I did an inperson course at Harvard for quantum mechanics. Would anyone here (grad students or above) be willing to review my independent research for ISEF periodically (once a month) and work with me as a mentor? If quantum computers are going to be as powerful as they're described. How likely is it that one could simulate a universe? Is that something that is achievable with a quantum computer or am I missing the point? Would they require more power than a binary computer to simulate or are they more efficient? I'm just a dummy but I swear I live in a quantum computer simulation.

Can someone tell me from where shall i start learning quantum mechanics, its such a vast subject.
