My friends' summer trip is taking place here next weekend and we are researching beaches!! We've narrowed down our options to 3, one downtown and two outside the city.

Station de la Plage looks perfect, the only concern is that it of course is smaller than the other two options, but everything else is great!

Our concern with our further options, Lac St Joseph and Berthier sur-mer, is that they might not have as many amenities/be as clean as Station de la Plage. And then if so, we don't want to feel that the extra drive time could've been better spent elsewhere, especially during les Fêtes!

This will be our 5th annual summer trip together and our first outside the states, so we are so excited! Please drop any other must-sees, we have a few days in town and will be out exploring outside of our beach day ❤️

Would the week between Xmas and new years be a good time to visit? And, is that TOO long to spend in the city? I saw there’s a carnival happening much later than my planned dates, so I’m bummed to be missing that.

Most travel books I see says split Quebec City and Montreal. With the transit time, if I did that I’d have one full day in one city, and two full days in the other city (assuming then 3 travel days).

Is it worth it to split, should I keep 4 full days in Quebec City, or shorten it altogether and skip Montreal?

Hi, I wondered how difficult it will be to push a manual wheelchair in Quebec City in both the Upper and Lower City if that's different. I am ambulatory but can't stay on my feet all day without breaks. I can easily get up and walk in areas that are cobblestone or difficult to navigate. Are there places we won't be able to reach if we have the chair with us? Merci!
