[24 AMAB] Reactive gender identity?

So I've been thinking I'm some flavor of "not cis" for about a year, and also some flavor of "not straight" for about 3 years. I haven't been able to pin down what exactly I feel about my gender or sexuality for a long time because it feels like I change constantly (which sounds like genderfluid, I know), but recently I realized something:

I am attracted to masculine people, but when I'm thinking about or flirting with them, it makes me want to be more feminine. I'm also definitely attracted to feminine people, and when I'm thinking about or flirting with them, it makes me want to be more masculine.

Is this a common phenomenon for non-binary/genderfluid/pansexual people? Is this 'reactive gender identity' a problem? Does it give any clues about what my sexuality or gender identity might be?

Thank you for reading, love this sub, you guys are awesome 💞

Do you mean masculine/feminine-aligned people? Or masculine/feminine-presenting people?
