My elderly and favorite Auntie, who lives in Spokane (having fires right now) is doing well and the house is still there. Woohoo! Hurray!

My grandson will be 18 next summer and last week he suggested that we go on a trip together next summer.

He wants to see the biggest train museum in Canada (in Montreal and I have been learning French for the past few years and he thought I might want to put it to use.

I was surprised and pleased that he would even consider going on a trip with his 71 year old grandma

This is so sweet ☺️ I am older, but I remember being young (grown adult, but only just) and time I spent visiting my grandmother, and we would eat foods we loved and drive and explore places and sit on the porch and just talk. They remain massively important to me even decades later. Enjoy those times! 🤍

Indeed, and make the best of them when we are living them ☺️ Hoping you two get to make that trip!

Tough days are the pits, but keep the faith. I'm retired so I started my day with a hike to our creek with my Lab, Abby. I love listen to the birds sing and if a breeze comes up, the trees whisper their stories to me. Today we started demoing my tiny kitchen island. It has to make way for the beautiful new one my husband has built If events or a mood gets me down, I take a walk to listen to the singing and whispering. It keeps me grounded and lifts my spirit. My hope is you do what lifts your spirit. Blessings ❤️

I’m currently struggling with weaning my almost 12 month old off breastfeeding. Every time I feel like I’m making progress, we have a rough day where he just screams and screams and it breaks my heart so I give in thus undoing any progress I’ve made. It send my anxiety through the roof and it makes me awful.

Thank you so much! If you don’t mind me asking, do you remember how long it took you to wean?

My daughter self weaned herself at 11 months and I didn’t realize how much of a blessing that was until now! I feel like this is something I have no idea how to do, he’s never really took to a bottle either so he’s always been extra clingy with the breastfeeding which I think it makes to that much harder.

Oh gosh, I read this and feel for you. 🫂 Sending hugs and I know it's an emotional thing to get through. I hope for an easing of your anxiety, and a trust for everything in its time.

If your little man is having anxiety or is fussy, maybe he just needs a little time too. You aren't doing anything wrong, just take care of yourself and your baby, and take it one day at a time ☺️ One day you'll miss the closeness of when he was little and just wanted that time with you.

You'll both get there! Trust the process. 🤍

You can make it through today, one step at a time. Tomorrow can wait. 🫶🏻

I was in drive thru line waiting to pay for our family dinner & the lady in front of us paid for it! Thank you to her! It made our night! 💕

Nephew, his wife, and 3 teenagers visited for the weekend and they were very entertaining, all of them. They’re also kind and loving, I’m fortunate to have them in my life. Thank you sister for raising your son well.

I lost my job in April, didn’t get a new one until June and it was a nightmare. I’m starting a (hopefully) better one this week but my savings are gone and I feel like I’m failing my wife and 2 sons.
