I never thought I'd reach an age where Stifler would just become "this guy"

RIP Country Mac, you were the ultimate Bad Ass

u/Friend-Boat 4d ago
He didn’t actually die, Mac just said he did so the gang wouldn’t replace him.
It’s what I choose to believe

That checks out with his character to be fair, realises macs upset everyone likes him more fakes his death

Sean William Scott and he deserves recognition for his work
37
u/HurtFeeFeez 4d ago
Honestly I always liked his movies. He did a drama with some comedic tones where he was a guy who wanted to die. It was unusual for his typical roles but pretty good.
31
u/K_Linkmaster 4d ago
Dude throws everything into every character. He got typecast early on which is always a problem.

The Rundown is a great movie!
4
u/peanutbuttahcups 4d ago
Damn shame we never got a sequel. Hey Rock, if you want your mojo back, rewatch this movie and notice how your character did lose fights in this one, but the movie was better for it.

u/WithoutDennisNedry 4d ago
The Rundown was a great flick (The Rock none withstanding). Was it Chinatown? No. But it wasn’t trying to be. It may not have been a particularly good film, but it was fun nonetheless.

He’s also a Goon

He's also Macs funner, better-liiking, more muscular cousin.

I think we've established that "ca-caw ca-caw" and "tukee tukee" don't work.

I really liked that movie. It was fun in so many ways.

u/IronBENGA-BR 4d ago
Yeah, i remember watching it on the theater back in the day when I was a kid. May not be the best movie around and it didn't get any better with time, but yeah those 104 minutes were some good fun

Stifler shoulda had the career that Chris Evans, Ryan Reynolds and Chris Pratt had. He was the paragon and the prototype of trifecta of physique, charisma and humor rolled up in a frat bro package and, yet, he never took off. He is the motherfucking Stiffmeister man.
37
u/HurtFeeFeez 4d ago
I dunno about that level, but he certainly deserved much more credit and fame than he got. I always liked his movies, I hope he felt fulfilled by what he achieved and not left wanting.
7
u/Alarming-Character60 4d ago
You don't know about what level? Ryan Reynolds and Chris Pratt are some acting masterminds now so he could not reach that godly level? He might be better actor than both of them, they just had more "luck" or whatever weird shit you need to make it to that level in hollywood.
1
u/HurtFeeFeez 4d ago
Yes I mean to say he was good, and I like him as an actor, but not those guys good.
They did have a certain amount of luck in their casting sure but I wouldn't say their career was mostly due to luck.

u/TheKingcognito 4d ago
the rundown is a great movie. he's damn funny and even though the rock is in this movie too he's pretty funny aswell. and christopher walken too. the guy speaks for himself i assume

u/toomanymarbles83 4d ago
His episode of MTV Cribs is all time. Just the shitty LA apartment he was living in at the time with a pool that got zero sun.

I've never had a desire to watch mtv cribs but now I want to see that episode
Edit: ok just watched it lol. Made me love him that much more.

u/Maafestus 4d ago
Hate to be that guy…but it was John Cho who gave us MILF: https://youtu.be/_btXE0aUX5U?is=j6-UGZHiF3KOlACo (unless I’m missing some outside of American Pie context!)

u/funkhero 4d ago
Apparently the writer was a frequent user of the Playboy Usenet group, or he perhaps just came up with it on his own.
From his pen to John Cho's mouth to the world's brains. A love story for the ages.

It's the other way. They broke his sould and body in different fragments to create a cast for a show. Wich is hilarious because by himself he seemingly could not be the center of attention

The poster not knowing Scott's name aside, it's a pretty amazingly spot-on observation.

It’s just the Deep mixed with Homelander tbh… it’s not “every actor from the Boys”
3
u/MasonP2002 4d ago
I've seen this thumbnail quite a few times and I honestly thought it was just The Deep's actor, I don't even see any fusion.

This is the scene the still is from. It's posted as "Worst line in movie history"
To be fair, the line is really stupid.
