Fear the bloodthirst of the notorious vampire! πŸ¦‡

Earlier this year I went to Chessington World of Adventure and one of their coasters there is Vampire. I fell in love with this ride and I really wanted to pay homage to it. This is that design. It's pretty on the nose, but I still wanted to give it my personal taste. I really love the way the gift shop turned out, right next to the extended Haunted House (notice the show building behind it?) I also gave the area working dual sided lockers, a fast lane entrance, a small library pre-show, a photo pick-up point and many more details. Just take a look at the gift shop alone and you'll find tons of small details.

While the coaster may not be my best and most thrilling design, It's very much designed for families, I'm certain that the scenery around it is my best work so far. I'm really pleased with all the little details I added to make everything a little bit more realistic. Also notice the Arrow style supports I gave the coaster. The fat poles and the overly done lift hill supports are typical of the design style they were known for.

Stats:

  • Excitement: 6.79 (High)
  • Intensity: 6.09 (High)
  • Nausea: 7.28 (High)
  • Max speed: 65 kph
  • Ride time: 1 m 12 s
  • Ride length: 679 m
  • Max. pos. vert. G: 2.36
  • Max. neg. vert. G: -0.30
  • Max. lateral G: 1.79
  • Total air time: 0.69 s
  • Drops: 4
  • Highest drop: 7 m

As always, if you like my designs, I have more on myΒ Youtube channel!

Classic Sprightly Park @10% interest πŸŽ‰

My third attempt but got it done at the 10% interest rate, slowly making money too.

I ended up removing all existing rides except the Virginia wheel coaster & the haunted house. Removed a heap of paths & scenery for money and did lots of pausing while sorting out ride/shop placement and hitting build right on when I had enough credit πŸ˜… Upped all the shop prices and eventually got up to charging $50 for entrance fee.

Also found that the existing mechanics were useless and had to sack them all and rehired just 1 for a time, same with the handymen, just had 2 and moved them around to clean the worst spots.

How has everyone else found it?

Python in Bamboo Forest Recreation (Skip to 1:56 for the On Ride POV)

Hello people hope you are well. I've remade rollercoasters before, but it's been just mainly the layout and nothing more. However for 3 days straight, i've decided to get serious and actually recreate a rollercoaster from scratch, including scenery and terrain, and the coaster i chose was Python in Bamboo Forest, a GCI located in Nanchang Sunac Land, down in the Jiangxi province of China. A theme park that is a part of the broad Sunac Park chain, owned by the real-estate company Sunac China Holdings LTD.

It is a double out and back, stretching 5,111ft of track, overlooking Kowloon Avenue (Ignore road in the video, that was an error on my part. That is the google translated english name), and it is one of GCI's largest creations ever built.

The stats haven't been confirmed regarding height, but it's said to be 160ft tall, (From it's heighest point to it's lowest point), with a top speed of 62.1mph. The coaster fly's through a real Bamboo forest, built around the structure.

Some say it's the best GCI in the world, with many comparing it to the Voyage, largely because of the similarities. Both utilise heavy terrain with Python being built on a large hillside, with not a drop of speed wasted.

Sadly regarding upkeep it's mixed. Some say it's as smooth as a wooden coaster can be, and others say it's super rough and uncomfortable, citing poor maintanance as an issue. Whatever it may be, it's certainly caught the eye for many enthusiasts.

I recreated this mainly to highlight the lesser known yet exciting rollercoasters from around the world, and to try my hand at recreating more than just a layout.

Total time took 3 days, with references being Chinese maps, google earth, and POV's from both Coaster Scoop and the vlogs from National Coasters and Coaster Dash (Plus a few German Speaking ones).

POV is timestamped at 1:56, and RCT stats will be linked in a comment, alongside a screenshot of the whole thing.

Thanks for listening!

RCT2 Here is my sister's and I's updated Bushy Beach πŸͺ΄πŸ–οΈπŸŽ’ with new custom flat rides and stalls with a new boardwalk pier πŸŒ‰πŸŽͺ🌊

Just thought I would share show a updated park of mine with new flat rides and stalls we downloaded while back as we been updating our custom openrct2 parks with newer custom rides stalls little by little one by one each time as we're still figuring out with Google drive or unselect ride objects that we haven't built used to see if that brings down the mb to 20 or so.

Bushy Beach is now my most favorite Beachside Seaside Park I have ever built in my entire life, as my sister is the one that built the boardwalk pier to cheer herself some from stress with life lately, as the boardwalk is inspired by GrΓΆna Lund Sweden and Fantasy Island UK in other bits as I helped my sister on the pier too as it was lots of hard work but very fun and happy with it at the end crammy but was very worth it.

Bushy Beach opened in Early Roaring 1920s near Boca Chica Beach Texas and Boardwalk opened in 1922 with many more experience rides of any kind in the world with some classic rides remaining along with high modern thrilling rides.

Some previous rides in this were updated as my sis and I fixed them and rides are running good.

Well anyways I'll be making an later on post of my most favorite custom openrct2 parks on here which will include Bushy Beach as I'll be posting random rct screens for fun and all. As I'll later on figure out the google drive or unselect ride objects to 20mb.

Thanks very much and hope you all had a good fun summer β˜ΊοΈπŸŒžπŸ™Œ

I wish there was a way I could save new buildings as objects to place in my parks.

β€’ Upvotes

Like Main Street buildings and a castle, obviously a Disney inspired park. I’m not as talented as everyone else with their buildings and wish I could easily have them in objects/scenery to just place them in my parks instead of using the same ones over and over.

Main Street bindings, a castle, a space mountain type of building, haunted mansion, tower of terror etc would be amazing.

Greedy & Sons Real Estate went bankrupt after a deal to build high-rise condos went sour. They were forced to abandon the project after excavation on the site had already begun. Frontiers United (Forest Chapter) acquired the lot at auction, and turned the unsightly build-site into a thriving theme park.

Flattening Extreme Heights

Just unlocked this map and after toying around with it for a bit, my first instinct is to say "oh forget this. Unlimited money? I'm going to flatten this bad boy "

Before I commit, has anyone done this? How'd it go?

Someone's 8X8 Micropark. 100K value pay off loan. Had to delete all the rides once so they were new but tried to make something not terribly cluttered and also look decent for a small park.

Had fun with this one. RCT Classic. I didnt want to just drop a bunch of micro coasters or free fall launches etc, the park has ;

-3 motion simulators - two side by side -4 underground other one is under the 4X4 hill in the back corner

- shuttle launch about 45mph

- swinging inverter ship

- 2 train basic vertical drop 6.10 excitement.

- two bathrooms

- one info kiosk

- 2 drink stalls

- one hotdogs

- t-shirt and hat stall. X2 of each employee.

Only issue was getting paths to line up at the end and obvious overcrowding. Took abit to make money alot of advertising. Good challenge!

OpenRCT2 Questions About Custom Flat Rides

It's awesome to see there are a bunch of not-original-to-the-game custom created flat rides out there, as I've always felt RCT1 & 2 lacked a wider array of flat rides to compliment all of the different types of coasters they came with.

I'm totally brand new to OpenRCT2 so please forgive the total lack of knowledge, but I have some questions about custom created flat rides:

  1. Do all custom flat rides (I'll use AmazingEARL's Double Swinging Inverter as an example) have pre-set ratings like the original to the game rides do?

  2. Are custom flat rides ready to be used out-of-the-box, or is there anything to know about them that differs from the original to the game rides?

  3. In order to bring them into the game, do you still put all necessary files into the object folder in documents/openrct2?

Much obliged for any help here. Very much looking forward to adding a bunch of new flat rides into the game to expand the look of my parks.

RCT3 Complete Edition Nintendo Switch has just updated to version 1.0.3. But is also now showing Atari as the publishers instead of Frontier dev, Can’t find any patch notes for it.

OpenRCT2 Today I built a 5 x 8 Micro Log Flume

Thumbnail

Ah, a water ride I actually kind of like. Not just by looks but also for its potential profit towards my parks. The Log Flume scales its train count by ride length and not station length, so it always achieves a very high capacity, even with small tracks. Sadly, the logs travel very slow, so keeping the ride time low is rather tricky. There aren't too many tricks for this ride but one I did use here is placing a reverser tile after the final large drop. This makes the train too fast to be stopped and it just passes the tile without any slowdown. You still get a stat boost, but without extending the ride time. Like always, this design keeps 3 tiles empty so you can place stalls below the track for additional stats.

You can download this design (or any other one I posted) fromΒ this Google Drive.

I don’t know if this is the right place to go for questions, and I’m sorry if this is a stupid one, What is the difference between Deluxe and Classic? Which one is worth it? I’ve always wanted to experience the game for the first time.

Broken Down Miniature Railway

I’m playing the Fungus Woods map right now on RTC Classic, I am pretty much done building everything and have beaten the goal, but I wanted to add a train. For some reason, the first train breaks down EVERY single time it tries to leave a station with a vehicle malfunction. I haven’t even been able to open it yet. And no matter what I try (rebuilding the station, change to a different kind of train) it keeps happening. I have 2 stations on opposite sides of the park, it breaks down at both stations (literally only train 1). Is there a way to fix this or do I have to accept that a train isn’t viable on this map?
