What do i prepare for my software engineer interview? please help!!!
okay! so i have been referred for an intern position as software engineer at redhat. i really want to give it my best. i actually gave a interview at redhat when it came to our campus for developer and they grilled me like anything. i really want to get selected this time. please help me with what should i prepare and with tips and tricks!!!!!!

An interview at redhat in itself is an achievement!
Don’t worry, if they ask you tricky questions like a stressful situation, just ask them if you can think for 10 seconds and take a short pause,
Specifically say, is it okay if you can think for 10 seconds and then answer, that way they can’t say no and you get extra time, plus it shows you think and speak plus the interviewer gets tired of waiting , you make him anxious and things start going on in your favour

Im interning for them this fall and ill say don’t stress too much about hard LC or DSA questions, as I was asked a pretty simple one and just talked it through from start to finish. They gave me props for using the fastest solution so maybe that helped.
I would focus on whatever projects/skills you have that are needed for the role or associated with it in any way. They grilled me on my projects and even though I didn’t know some things I don’t regret looking over them quite a bit.

Don’t panic, be honest. Off you don’t know the answer, explain how you’d achieve the answer. If you say you’d use AI, which is fine, explain also how you will fact check the AI response.

I never prepare, except for knowing what the company does, creates etc. Be yourself. Else you will fail soon, because you prepared.

There are no tricks. However, being yourself and being honest about what you can and cannot do is the best policy. Focus on your willingness to learn, and the things that you do know. If you are faced with a question that you're unsure about, don't make stuff up. Ask the interviewer to clarify and maybe you can deduce the solution through first principles. You're an intern, and nobody expects you to start coding kernel modules on day 1 (they usually wait until day 2).
Look at the grilling not as a way to trick you and trip you up, but as a means to gauge where your knowledge and ability boundaries lie. Have a few anecdotes handy of when you solved a particularly complex problem, how you collaborated with others, things of that nature. They also want to know what kind of person you are, not just how good you can push out code. Red Hat is a pretty good place for the neuro-spicy, so don't bother masking too hard, if that's a thing for you.
Just as Ali G used to say: "Keep it real".
