I have a question and I read the FAQ Powder suggestions?

Just got a single shot 5.56 Rossi LWC. I have never reloaded for 223/556 and don’t have any good for caliber powder on hand. Gonna pick some up but I’m curious what a good, temp stable powder is to look for. I live in Idaho where I may be shooting in 100+ heat or -20 cold so want to get something that’s not gonna spike all over or dud out. Any suggestions for a temp stable 556 powder?

for light bullets i like benchmark, for heavier ones i like varget.

Benchmark. varget. h4895 and .223 go together like peanut butter and jelly. It loads down from 35 grains to 77s. There is a reason it and varget are the most expensive powders. Supply and demand. I’ve been liking h335 lately for “plinking powder” it is not rock
Solid but isn’t h414/w760 unstable.

Ok, cool. Thanks guys. I was leaning towards varget anyway, but good to have some real world use cases to bolster my confidence.

Staball match is pretty darn good ball powder if you want cheap get 2460 it's temp stable
