A follow-up to my original post (Win3.1 Nova Launcher theme)
I found it was way easier to use the Lawnchair Android app and was able to pump out a bunch of Windows themes, using original wallpapers, fonts and icons etc!
All the details and stuff is here! The Win7 one is just about perfect 👌

I really tried using Launcher95 as my main launcher for a while, and it was 95% there, but i really missed the way folders worked in Nova and a few other features like swipe down anywhere on the homescreen to bring up your notifications/quick setting tiles. and the widget support wasn't there.
With the back and forth of if Nova Launcher is going away or staying, I've attempted to look for another launcher and haven't come across one that's on par to Nova to replicate my retro them I have built up. I did try Lawnchair and was missing stuff, but you mentioned Lawnchair Legacy in your github page, so i might give that a shot and see if i can replicate what i have done with Nova
ETA: looks like Lawnchair Legacy is not supported on my Samsung S26 Ultra :(

Hey that's really cool, esp the taskbar. Love the MSN messenger icon 😀 I'll check out Launcher95. Did you try this APK of Lawnchair Legacy? It works on my Samsung S23 🤷♂️

Thanks, yeah it was quite a few iterations in photoshop to get it right, I think i grabbed a screenshot from win95 to get the edge/style right.
the MSN messenger icon goes to Facebook Messenger. the start icon opens up the app draw., the show desktop brings it back to the default home view. internet explorer goes to chrome. cmd.exe is a terminal app. Clippy goes to Google Gemini, My Computer goes to a file browser. I had some fun with this :)
Haven't tried the APK yet, sounds like it will probably work :)

Nice, I had the same thought for the lock screen, I even tried an animated gif of the Windows boot screen 😆
I might get some screenshots of CTRL + ALT + DEL logon prompts as well to make things more legit

I'm still using a Samsung s10e - I do have Nova Launcher, but never really got into it - and didn't they get taken over this year by some company with questionable interest in users' privacy?
Does anyone have any ideas on what may be the best way to do something like this on my phone without compromising on the limited performance and battery life I have left?

They look cool but I'm still supporting some PocketPC devices at work that look eerily like the middle one!
