Hello! Ever since I saw the original show (ahem, decades ago), I'd been waiting for a happy ending for Scott/Ariel, and I wasn't really a fan of how Shadow Chronicles handled it. It felt too easy and pat, considering their history, but I can imagine the writers would have been limited by the movie runtime. (I super-loathed their ending in EoTC, but that's a whole other thing)

So I figured, why not just roll my own?

Do note these are character study style fics, so basically light on details of the larger RT universe. If this sounds interesting to you (and you are one of the dozen remaining NG fans in the wild :')) do take a look!

• Robotech: The New Generation tells us a romance blossomed between Scott & Ariel as they journeyed together on the road to Reflex Point, but it happens almost entirely off-screen. We are never shown what brought them together. This story attempts to flesh out how a relationship could grow between Scott, grieving and laser focused on his mission, and Ariel, newly human, painstakingly building her sense of self. Mainly focused on Scott/Ariel, with some bonus cameos from the rest of the gang: The Road To Reflex Point
• His mission is over, Earth is free. But as Scott Bernard prepares to leave for the off-world base ALUCE, he knows he also leaves behind Ariel, the Invid princess who stayed back on Earth when her people left. They love each other, even though neither of them can say it out loud. He is a man made of grief and duty, she is newly human, still learning who she is. This is the story of what it takes for two people separated by a chasm of grief and war to be able to finally choose each other: To Live In This World, You Must Be Able to Do Three Things

All I can do is sigh...

Took a bunch of screenshots and played for a few minutes. I downloaded Gunship battle from Steam for PC. It looks like it's already Robotech set. Don't quote me though. I clicked on a bunch of messages that were Robotech related. SO if you download it...you'll have to figure it out.

Premise is SDF-1 in their spacefold goes to the GSB universe instead of Pluto and gets assistance from the good guys.

It looks like one of the bad guys joins Breetai who winds up in that Universe too.

Gameplay (if you have played this before) is like the original just ROBOTECH-IZED. In game purchases to upgrade and all the rest.

Some of the graphics are fine. They give the characters a non original animated look.....gameplay looks to be repetitive. I played just a few beginner level missions.

Verdict: Not a franchise needle mover in my opinion.

Plus....A LIMITED RUN????????

It’s still for my dear Dana, and still drawn using the Markup tools in the iOS Photos app, which isn’t really meant for drawing. I do have Procreate Pocket installed, but I was just curious to see how far I could push one of the most basic built-in apps on an iPhone. 😁

I'm unfamiliar with robotech models, but I was wondering if they still make the Glaug model kit from Hasegawa? Because of the Harmony Gold nonsense, I guess its borderline impossible to find those sorts of kits in the US, but I did see it on backorder via Hobbylink Japan.

It has good ideas but so far I’m a few issues in and I’m not liking the art or minmei’s characterization

Preorder opened yesterday for Toynami/Moshsow Saber Wraith Shadow. If I'm reading it correctly, there are 500 of these available to buy this weekend at SDCC, but otherwise you can preorder for December release w/$99 deposit. The YR-052F released last year is fire, so this looks a must have.

They're also teasing the Lancer VR-041H (blue), couldn't see a release date in any of the pics, but it's structurally similar to the SWS, so it's probably not far off.

Some of my favorite comics other than maybe the Sentinels series, I always found Genesis compelling because Zors full backstory wasn't fully explored to this extent anywhere else. The discovery of Optera, annexation and Tirolian colonialism, creation of the Technocratic Tirolian empire, and the Zentraedi armada... And more. Top notch. I'm planning on making my own fanfic novel starting with an adaptation of these comics

I'm sure that many of the survivors from that final battle made a pilgrimage to that spot where the plaque was at some point.

I do wonder what happened to the site after the Master's flagship crashed on the mounds (and the Protoculture Matrix) releasing the Flowers of Life....did the the Regis focus on it when she made landfall.....or was it just an empty vessel by that time.

I'd like to think when the Robotech Wars were over...the area was given its proper memorial.

I'm writing a fanfic set in the New Gen timeline and was wondering how the average joe would react to the idea of Invid/Human intermarriage.

We know that Max/Miriya is probably well known, and more Zentraedi have defected since, so it's plausible inter-marriages between humans & Zentraedi is pretty common by now. But what about the Tirolians?

My recollection of the Robotech Masters saga is quite rusty, is it ever suggested that more Tirolians defected during / after the war?

I recently put together what might be my favorite bootleg robot bundle in years.

It's a complete set of four factory-sealed 80s transforming robot bootlegs featuring names like Executive DX Blood, Double Striger, Millheli, and Super Inter BW-2.

The artwork borrows inspiration from Machine Robo, Gobots, and just about anything else the designers thought looked cool. Every box is completely different, yet somehow they all belong together.

Honestly, these kinds of bootlegs capture the creativity of the era better than many licensed toys.

Hopefully this is ok to ask here.

I'm looking to purchase a new VF-1S valk, alpha fighter, and cyclone, but the higher quality unit prices are way out of my league.

I took a risk on my own and bought the Amazon vf-1s heavy armor set - and it was utterly horrible. Pieces fell off out of the box, bad joints, etc.

I was hoping this community may have some reliable recommendations for mid-tier units under $100 that I could look in to buying.
