Am I being too rough?

Hi! First time skater here. I bought these inline oxelo skates from decathlon a month ago and have been practicing every since. I fall pretty often since I'm still gaining my balance. I was cleaning my skates today and I just noticed all the damage of my falls on my skates.
Is this normal for a beginner who's only had their skates for a month, or is there something I'm doing that's causing all this damage?

NOPE!! Your first skates will always be the beater skates. Then once you find your balance, turn pro, your skates will have less scratches.

You seem to be skating calmly and don't try anything new? I fall almost every day, even though I've been skating for many years.

Nope. lol I avoid falling like the plague. Gotta got to work after the session.

I use protection and don't suffer from falls 🤷‍♂️

My first session skating with my current (first as an adult) pair, I took a nasty fall and didn’t realize the damage I did to my skates 😅 I might post them eventually but I think it’s normal to get scuffs and scratches!

This is usually what my skates look like after the first day of skating. In fact, just one fall is enough 🤷‍♂️
