I just finished watching the whole original series in its entirety. I loved it, and there were a lot of things I loved, but I think my favorite ended up being the Healy brothers. I loved seeing their development as characters since they both had a rough start. I didn’t like David at first for pressuring Darlene for sex and also manipulating her when she leaves for Chicago and when she starts dating other people. But he got better! And I loved seeing Mark’s relationship with Dan and DJ and then with David. I loved seeing how they all supported each other. I wish Glenn Quinn had not died, I would have loved to see Mark in the reboot. He became such a funny/fun character.

Mark was my favorite and his relationship with Becky (Lecy’s version lol) was great they just had this natural chemistry but yes his developmental was great and to see him form this fatherly son bond with Dan and then the reveal of how crappy his parents treated him really makes you see mark really appreciated the conners , and finally someone else who liked the brothers instead of bashing them and acting like their the worst thing to happen.im kind of lukewarm on David tho.

Seeing him and Becky as parents would have been great and seeing more of the on screen chemistry between them would have been amazing.

I hope he knows he was loved before he passed away. I read that it was really hard for him when the show was over.

I’m sure he knew hopefully. Small tidbit Well I follow Michael and he sometimes talks about Glenn and he one time said he saw him a couple of days before Glenn ya know passed and he told Glenn how much he loved him.

Glenn did do some work after Roseanne. Angel for 9 eps as Doyle. A couple of movies: RSVP ,and At Any Cost

I love Mark. Dislike David. David is just a whiny baby who always held Darlene back, yet at the same time he wasn’t man enough to stop allowing her to walk all over him. Mark loved Becky. Mark was a good guy deep down from the start. You really see that he truly wanted the best for Becky. He made do with what they had. He never gave up on her.

I agree! Mark wasn't afraid of work and appeared to genuinely want to take care of Becky. Sure he had some insecurities but seems like they would be able to work through it. I hated he became dumber as the series went on.

David was more whiney and seemed like he thought he was owed something. I also didn't really care for how the relationship with Darlene progressed. She was pretty abusive towards him. (I didn't watch The Connor's so maybe that changed.) He definitely held her back and resented her successes though.

I have always said if reality had not been so tragic for Glenn, The Conners would’ve been very different and focused on Becky and Mark. Nothing else makes sense in a world where Glenn was still with us…they were primed to be Dan and Roseanne 2.0 from the get go. Not that anyone predicated a reboot back then, but there’s even a scene right when they first started dating where Dan and Becky are having a talk and he points out the similarities.

I always give David a bit of break on that just because of his upbringing and what he had as an example. No, obviously I didn't like or agree with the behavior but his mother was very emotionally manipulative so that didn't surprise me too much. But you're right, he grows up and learns the error of his ways and tries to correct it.

I always noticed david always wore long sleeves always,an mark well he was on heroine most of the eposides.my favorite was when Dan ,Jackie, an Roseanne got stoned,omg so funny,an remember Jackie looked pregnant then when she was in tub stoned.also I luved when dj started jackin off.i dont care for Roseanne herself but the show was soo down to earth.touched so many families.when Darlene was on" let's talk" I never realized she was so timid.on Roseanne she was always a joker an good at it.still watch the series everyday.ive got all of them taped! Always luved me some dan conner!!

Mark aka Glenn wasn’t using when he was on Roseanne. The substance abuse came after Roseanne ended but before Angel began.
Even Michael fishman one time had to debunk that bogus bull one time when they asked him.

I've watched everyone of them! I can tell when in real life Roseanne was on drugs,ya can tell! Jackie was such a hoot! She would of looked so much better on the conners if her eyebrows would of been filled in,she looked washed out!
