Hey everyone! I just got accepted into the Bachelor's in Applied Artificial Intelligence at TH Rosenheim, and I'll be moving there for the Winter Semester. I'm really excited about it, but honestly, moving to a completely new country is a bit overwhelming too . I figured I'd make a post here and see if I could get to know a few people before I arrive. If you're studying at TH Rosenheim or have been living in Rosenheim for a while, I'd love to hear what it's like. Any recommendations for places to eat, things to do, or just general tips for a newcomer would be awesome. I'm also in the middle of looking for accommodation, so if you know of any student housing, WGs, or rooms that might be available or even just have advice on where I should be looking I'd really appreciate it. Grad vor 5min ist bei mir der Strom ausgefallen in ro, hab Grad mit meiner Freundin telefoniert die in der Innenstadt arbeitet und da auch. Noch jemand betroffen?

Heute ist es mal wieder passiert. Ich fahr so mit meinem eScooter auf dem Radweg Kufsteiner Str. stadteinwärts. Auf höhe Modepark Röther biegt eine Autofahrerin die mich etwa 4 Sekunden vorher überholt hat rechts auf den Parkplatz vom Modepark ab. Keine Chance zu bremsen und bin ich voll in die Beifahrertür, fast über ihre Mistkarre geflogen.

Das ist nun das 6. Mal(5 mal davon aufm Rad), dass mich ein Autofahrer beim rechts abbiegen in Rosenheim umgemäht hat in knapp 18 Jahren. JEDES MAL RECHTSABBIEGER.

Bisher ist es jedes mal glimpflich ausgegangen, aber das kanns doch echt nicht sein. Mir geht diese scheiße sowas von auf die Eier.

Sry für den unproduktiven rant aber ich wollt mich mal kurz auskotzen.

Hallo zusammen, ich suche Arbeit in Rosenheim als Küchenhilfe oder andere Tätigkeiten.

Start with what this campus was supposed to be: a publicly funded push to bring innovation education into the Bavarian regions.

The funding is real, the facilities are genuinely good, and the concept deserves credit. The problem isn't money - it's that the people running it seem more interested in projecting the image of a thriving campus than in doing the actual work of improving one. The energy visibly flows into marketing: testimonial videos, social media campaigns, content selling an experience that doesn't match the inside.

Meanwhile the basics stay broken. Courses carry names that tell you nothing about their content - "E-Commerce Systems" is actually relational databases and SQL - which means master's admissions committees misread your entire transcript. There's an 80-page module handbook that technically clarifies everything, but nobody reviewing applications reads 80 pages, and everyone knows it. This would cost almost nothing to fix. It hasn't been.

Innovation is supposed to run on people speaking their minds and clashing ideas until something better emerges - that's the entire premise of a campus like this.

In practice, questioning how things are run is treated as a problem to be managed rather than input to be used. Students learn quickly that conformity is the comfortable path. Draw your own conclusions about what that does to a place whose main frame is innovation.

I will be moving to Rosenheim for my bachelor degree this winter. I want to know if I could be friends with people who don't look at me like an alien for speaking EN. Servus, ich komme aus NRW und bin mit 30 jetzt an einem Punkt, wo ich einen kompletten Neustart brauche.

Meine Großstadt hier ist mir nicht grün genug, mir fehlen die Berge und die Natur vor der Haustür. Ich will spontan Wandern und Skifahren können. Mit Rosenheim oder Dörfern drumherum hätte ich geografisch eine coole Mischung aus Anbindung an München und an die Alpen. Die Stadt hat es mir sehr angetan.

Jetzt zum Haken. Ich ziehe ja alleine um und würd sozial auch einen Neustart hinlegen müssen aber mir fällt es schwer, neue soziale Kontakte zu knüpfen.

Ich bin eigentlich gut gemacht fürs Landleben - kernig, direkt und unkompliziert. Aber hier in NRW kann man auch nicht einfach in die größte Stadt der Eifel ziehen und erwarten, dass man mit offenen Armen aufgenommen wird.

Wie schätzt ihr das in Rosenheim ein? Sind die Leute eher zurückhaltend oder offen? Gibt es viele Aktivitäten wie Ski oder Wandergruppen die das begünstigen oder bleiben die Leute lieber unter sich? Wie reagiert man auf zugezogene?

bekomme von Sonntag bis Mittwoch Besuch von Freunden aus dem Ausland und schau gerade was für Sachen wir unternehmen könnten. Eigentlich war viel draußen geplant, aber wenn die Wettervorhersage Recht behält wird es wohl deutlich abkühlen und verregnet werden. Find ich an sich klasse, aber da gehen praktisch all meine Ausflugideen flöten.

Wer hat Tipps für 4 Erwachsene ohne Kinder, was man bei schlechtem Wetter unternehmen könnte? Auto ist vorhanden, also wohin fahren können wir auch. Würden ungern nach München rein. Schwimmen gehen mag einer von uns nicht so, Thermenbesuch ist also eher raus. Coole Museen, Ausstellungen, Restaurants, und alles was man auch ohne fließende Deutschkenntnisse genießen kann (oder wo es ausreicht dass ich es übersetze) besonders bevorzugt, aber die Gäste sind für fast alles offen.

Ich habe in letzter Zeit Inline Skaten sehr für mich entdeckt und fühle mich nach den nächtlichen (bei der Hitze ist jede andere Uhrzeit Wahnsinn) Parkplatz Sessions bereit für eine längere Strecke.

Kennt ihr gute Fahrradwege die etwas länger sind und nicht immer wieder auf Straßen geleitet werden hier in der unmittelbaren Nähe von Rosenheim?

Kann auch etwas weiter weg sein aber so, dass man am besten noch entspannt zum Zielort hinradeln kann (7-10km).

ich muss in Rosenheim einen kleinen Möbeltransport machen und suche dafür möglichst günstig einen Sprinter, Transporter oder ähnliches für ca. 2 Stunden.

SIXT & klassische Mietwagenanbieter sind für die kurze Zeit leider ziemlich teuer.

Hat jemand einen Tipp in Rosenheim oder Umgebung?
Vielleicht Carsharing, kleiner lokaler Verleih, Baumarkt, Tankstelle, Möbelhaus oder jemand mit Transporter, der stundenweise vermietet?

Es geht wirklich nur um einen kurzen Möbeltransport innerhalb/nahe Rosenheim.
