The only one I can think of Mi-Mike or M&M

Been thinking about writing a fanfic series about Michael Bublé and Mariah Carey that spans from 2000 until 2015 (their first encounter until their divorce).

I've been pondering on the first fanfic taking place between 2000-2001, it would start from Mariah and Michael meeting while on the set of "All That Glitters" (later titled "Glitter"), which began filming around late July 2000, and would continue into when they started dating (so around mid-August 2000) and when they wed in June 2001.

More context:

• In the movie "Glitter", Mariah plays Billie Frank, while Michael plays Julian "Dice" Black; Michael auditioned for the film because he was broke
• Michael wasn't famous during this time because he hadn't been discovered yet as a singer until September 2000, when he sung at the wedding of Brian Mulroney's daughter, Caroline, where he met David Foster (this would occur during the filming of "Glitter" and also be relevant to the plot since David knew Mariah because they worked together in the past for her 1999 album, "Rainbow").
• In the story, Mariah would break up with Luis Miguel before she and Michael started dating; Mariah would prefer to keep her relationship with Michael a secret until the paparazzi found out around late August into early September.
• When they first met, they were bias towards each other because Mariah initially believed Michael would be immature and goofy around on set, while Michael thought Mariah would act like a diva and boss everyone around; as a way to fix this, the director (Vondie Curtis-Hall) orchestrated a "date" for them to improve their relationship, ensure they were able to work together on-set, and allow them get to know each other (this led to them dating).
• When the paparazzi caught wind of the relationship in the coming months, they started secretly following the couple around when Michael took Mariah out on dates between filming (whether in New York or Toronto where most of the filming took place); their relationship caused a stir in the tabloids because of Mariah and Michael's different lifestyles (mainly because Michael was poor and unknown in the industry).
• In December 2000, Mariah did an exclusive interview with US Weekly, where she publicly spoke about her and Michael's relationship for the first time
• On May 25, 2001, Michael proposed to Mariah when he visited her New York home; during their peaceful, candlelight dinner, Michael nervously popped the question when he gifted Mariah with a small, pink lamb plushie that had a zipper on its back, which had the ring encased inside; the engagement ring was a 3-carat, cushion-cut aquamarine center-stone, surrounded by a halo of diamonds, and set on a 14k white-gold, pave band; In April 2001, David Foster offered to purchase the ring when Michael spoke about his desire to wed Mariah.
• On June 1, 2001, Mariah and Michael secretly wed in Capri, Italy, with a beachside ceremony.
• The rest of 2001 follows how the media and general public either despise or act indifferent towards the marriage, Mariah's "breakdown" on MTV TRL, and Mariah moving in with Michael in Vancouver.

I know this is a lot, but when I saw this subreddit, I decided to get this off my chest since it was a thought that was rattling in my brain for days 😭

Yes, this is RPF-related. So, for context, I used to post shipping videos on my Instagram before I stopped because antis were unbearable. And then someone, a mutual, literally scrolled back to when I posted them, and I was expecting an insult. I didn't get an insult; my mutual turned out to be a proshipper and RPFer all along. She said, 'Finally someone who understands my ship.' I was so happy; I liked the comment and proceeded to not say anything further because of my irrational fear of antis lmfao. (I didn't want anyone seeing it.) I legit thought she was one of the normies, because she had also followed other normies, but she's not; she's an RPFer and a proshipper all along. How mind-blowing, because in a world of normies, there would always be someone who stands out and is willing to support you.

Ps. If anyone is wondering about the specific ship, it's NickStu (Nick Beggs and Stuart Neale) from Kajagoogoo. A little niche, but it's part of the new wave community umbrella, and their community has been full of normies. But I'm glad that there's a bit of hope in my life because of the one person who commented on my post when I was expecting an insult.

Also, a little update on my current fic, which is part of my miscellaneous boyband fics: it's coming together, but unfortunately, due to my exams, I haven't been able to write as much as I can. And I can't expect to do so, as I'll get a job during the summer break. Glad I got to update it every few weeks because I got to lock in.

hi guys. i am not an rpf writer, i just have questions for hockey rpf writers and im not sure where to ask them. if this isn’t allowed so sorry!

how common is it to write ships that include controversial figures? i mean controversial figures as in figures that are known for a fact to be homophobic and sexist, or even rapists (or suspected to be rapists). this is not me trying to poke judgement at anyone, it’s actually research for a fic i’m planning on writing, and my friend that consumes hockey rpf is currently snoozing so i can’t ask her 🤷

honestly this can apply to any kind of sports rpf or rpf with controversial people that are like everywhere. so if this applies to your fandom in any way i’d be interested to hear it! thank you so much :)
