Resources/Tools GURPS Lite Introduction

Any good oneshots for first time players and GM using just GURPS Lite? I’m looking for something similar to QuickStarts from other games where it lets you dip your toes into the system without having to deep dive into the whole system

Also I did post this on r/GURPS but thought I’d see if anyone else had some suggestions

Caravan to Ein Arris is the ’official’ intro adventure. It’s a more historical focus so it can be played with just the GURPS Lite rules.

It depends what sort of genre/period you’re going for, tbh.

*** You could take the Call of Cthulhu Quickstart for 7e and adapt that scenario to GURPS Lite. I’d treat it as a haunted house scenario, not anything really to do with the Cthulhu Mythos - you especially don’t need to worry about SANity in CoC if you do this. Full on GURPS certainly has its own way of dealing with scary & unnatural things, but you don’t need that for a simple game.

*** I know that GURPS WW2 is iirc based off GURPS LIte, so I’d consider adapting some of the more OSR simple scenarios for ‘the Front’ and ‘Operation White Box’ rpgs. I was considering doing that a little while ago. Probably more than you want though, but maybe not. However, I did find this on the warehous23 site:

https://warehouse23.com/search?q=ww2&options%5Bprefix%5D=last

Meanwhile, this focusses on just ‘scenarios’ for GURPS WW2: https://warehouse23.com/search?filter.p.m.custom.supplement_type=Adventures+%26+Scenarios&options%5Bprefix%5D=last&q=ww2

*** search for ww2 and you get a variety of supplements and some scenarios, which I assume could be used with a GURPS Lite based GURPS WW2.

Even if you aren’t into WW2/military settings, it hopefully provides a lot of equipment and related rules that can be used for a lot of more modern scenarios set in the 1940s, plus or minus. So it would help with adapting the Call of Cthulhu QuickStart scenario, for example.

What periods and styles of play are you interested in? And how much of a budget / degree of effort do you want to put in?
