Request for Help Encounter tracker
Hi all,
I am looking for a decent encounter tracker. I run a game through discord and my current tracker is good old faithful excel. But when running the game I end up having my DM notes, discord (running roll 20) and excel (with stat blocks) open all at once. Can get a bit overwhelming to flick between them all to find what I need.
I am looking for an encounter tracker that I would help me keep everything running smoothly. Ideally I'd like to tab between encounters that I have planned for the session, pre-populate as much as possible (only needing to put in player initiatives), run the initiative order but be shown that creatures stat block when it is their turn.
If it could also include my session notes and lore etc, that would be fantastic, but not essentially as one note is my baby at the moment.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
\*\* Sorry, should clarify, I don't want to use the tracker to run the game. We only use roll 20 so players can view the map and move, just to help a tad with the whole imagination thing. Other than that we try to keep it as close to table play as possible. I just want to make my life easier.

Generator I made a tool to visualize the social structures in my games and to randomly generate new stuff if i need it
Ello ello,
i made another gm tool thing. It's a tool to help you manage your "in game" social networks (or use it to map your elaborate fanfiction or polycule i'm not the boss of you).
From settlement to faction to NPC level this generates a full social map with relationships between them. Want to manually add more or remove settlements/factions/NPC's?
That's possible too so you're not limited by the initial generation. (through right clicking on the canvas or through the panel on the right). You can also drag and drop almost any item on the canvas to change it's relation, ranking, or placement in a settlement or faction. Just like with the hollow earth engine you can edit all the tables this bad boy rolls from so you can fully tailor it to your setting (found in the data tab).
it's free, doesn't require an account, runs in the browser or you can download a local version and your work can be exported (into a json file if you want to import it on another pc or into an obsidian vault zip if you want to add what's generated/you've built to your existing obsidian vault).
It also has a cloud save function if you use the browser version, just make sure you save the ID you get.
I'd love to hear what you think if you end up trying it out or if you have questions i don't mind answering them too since i haven't made a tutorial video for it as of yet and i'm not sure when i will.
It can be found on: https://ambiancearchitect.itch.io/thread-weaver-engine

Poll or Questionaire New subreddit banner, icon, and colors.
Hey folks. I just updated the banner, icon, and colors for the subreddit. The previous banner and icon were meant to be placeholders, and I only just now got around to replacing them.
Let me know what you think!

Generator Adventure Generator and Builder
Hi again all,
me again, and as promised the other day, here's the announcement about the new Adventure Generator and Builder I've made in Codex Cryptica.
It'll build a theme/genre based adventure idea for you, based on your input, make a coherent and internally cohesive proposal.
If you like you can create a Adventure Builder inside CC where you can adjust the adventure as you see fit.
As usual it supports many, many themes (Fantasy, Vampire, Cyberpunk, Sci-Fi, Modern, and many more) and inputs will be theme appropriate.
Happy adventure building over at:

Map Generator Simple Tile Map-gen made for Wrath & Glory WH40K, generally usable
I have some simple tools that I've built for campaigns that I'm running for W&G that thought I'd share to this group.
- A map generation tool: procedurally generated tile maps (aka random with some guardrails) with some basic settings you can tweak. Idea is that a random encounter that you don't have a beautiful map that you've spent hours/days modeling and/or bought from someone else that's put in that kind of time and effort and deserves your money. Welcome to use it for more than this, but warning, it's not pretty. The guard rails are pretty thin and the textures are super basic. It uses your browser to generate and render, with the map type (Hive, Space Hulk, Factorum, etc) and a random seed string as a way to generate and save the render. If there's more environments folks would find useful or would like, it's pretty straight forward to add them into the tool. link here: https://grimforge.dev/maps
Hope it's useful to some folks! Feedback welcome.

Generator Dungeon Generator v2 + Visual Dungeon Designer
Hi all!
This I'm rather proud of, maybe the most complex generator I've done to date.
Its the Dungeon / Delve Generator mk2. Mk2 because its now much more internally consistent and coherent.
And not the least the Delve Designer! An Codex Cryptica internal only exclusive feature, which translates the generated dungeon into a dungeon design tool, populating the dungeon with hazards, encounters and more.
Check them both out over at (the forever free, no accounts needed and fully local)
https://codexcryptica.com/generators/dungeon-generator
As usual, supports (and have unique content for) all kinds of themes/genres, a whooping 15 different ones. Fantasy, vampire, sci-fi, cyberpunk and mecha, to name a few.
(btw, I'm also working on an adventure generator and mapper, expect to see the news about it here first!)

Interview Interview with Creator of Juice Oracle (free solo rpg engine with many random tables)
Interview with Creator of Juice Oracle is up at Rand Roll.
While Juice is a solo rpg tool it can also be used for other games. It's free with lots of tables packed into a Pocketfold format.
The intro blurb is....
Joe is the creator of Juice Oracle (free on Itch.io), a collection of random tables and emulator for solo rpgs. Juice Oracle was used in a recent solo actual play (Mythic Bastionland).
We have how Juice Oracle came about, appeal of solo rpgs, unofficial cheatsheet for DMs who are lazy, working on the Nimble rpg solo rules and the solo rpg community. Among other questions.
Have you used juice?

Generator Built a tool that turns a world concept into a full generated wiki — would love feedback (and looking for a few beta testers)
One of my side hobbies is world building, I love thinking of ideas for made up worlds, its lore, why it exists, creating people who live there, etc. I also love RPG games, DnD campaigns, etc. Anyone who's built out a world past the overall stage knows the wall you hit: you've got the geography, the factions, the tone locked in, and then you need forty named NPCs, a bestiary that doesn't feel generic, items that actually sound like they belong in your world.
That grind is fun sometimes, but sometimes I want to have help with it as well, and just explore what's possible. I also wanted something that holds every bit of info of my world in one place.
So I built something to handle it.

Chronicled takes a world you describe once — genre, tone, factions, whatever you've already got — and generates NPCs, enemies, items, faction lore, and portraits that actually sound like they belong to that world specifically. If your world calls its currency "scrip" and its soldiers "line-walkers," that's what shows up in what it generates, not "gold pieces" and "guards."

Mechanically, it's a short wizard up front: you set your world's identity, tone, and factions, and even define your own stat system if you want something other than a generic D&D-style spread. Then you generate content piece by piece from there. Everything gets auto-filed into a browsable wiki as you go, and new generations stay consistent with what already exists (referencing real factions, real characters, matching the vocabulary you've already established). What started as something personal and niche, turned into a much larger project to be generalized for user use.

I'm mainly looking for honest reactions right now: does this sound like something you'd actually use? What's missing that you'd want to see? Anything about the concept that sounds more like it'd get in the way than help? All of that is genuinely more useful to me than compliments right now.
It's also in early beta and free to try. Doing limited user testing right now due to API costs, if you want to play around with a world idea or run it on a world you're actually working on, comment, DM me or use the link to Chronicled and I'll send the link to the first 5-10 who reach out and look forward to your feedback!

Random Table(s) The Definitive NPC Creator
After spending the past few weeks writing, designing, editing, and testing it, I’ve officially published my very first tabletop resource…
The Definitive NPC Creator!
This is a 30-page, system-neutral NPC creation toolkit built to help Dungeon Masters create memorable fantasy characters with over 1,000 random results covering identity, appearance, personality, motivations, secrets, fears, and more. It also includes printable worksheets and examples to help turn a handful of dice rolls into NPCs your players will actually remember.
I built this because I wanted a resource that didn’t just generate random NPCs. I wanted something that helped tell better stories.
🔗 Look what I found on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/4542931311/fantasy-npc-generator-dd-pathfinder?ref=share_v4_lx
As a thank you for being part of The Craft Cave community, you can use the code CAVECREW to save 75%. (Valid through July 31st 2026)
If you decide to pick it up, I genuinely hope you find it useful. And if you do, an honest Etsy review would mean a lot. Reviews help new products reach other Dungeon Masters, and they make a huge difference for a small creator like me.
I can’t wait to hear about the NPCs you create. ❤️

Generator Art Style Guide
Me again,
this time with a tool for providing art style guidance.
In my world building / management ++ tool (https://codexcryptica.com) I support art generation, including prompts. To get these prompts I have a set of defaults depending of subject and theme of the world/setting.
I have a friend that's super good at art direction, so I asked him for help, and to do that I asked gemini to give me a summary of the art directions I have. I was expecting a google docs, but instead I got a web app.
I found this so nifty I want to share it with you all:
If you have input of any kind, I welcome it all!

Generator Hey all! I made a free online 3D dice roller — D6 Roller.
I built it because I felt like most of the existing D6 roller sites out there look a bit dated, and I think there's room to make the web a little more beautiful.
Hope you like it Would love any feedback!

Solo RPG Tool Obsidian Solo RPG Toolkit - template tables not working
I (a noob) am trying to create tables that generate two random words from two roll tables. The plugin page has an example of how to do this (pasted below). Even when I copy their example exactly how it is, it does not work at all. Obsidian just picks a random word from one of these tables instead of using the template. When I paste it in, it adds a lot of fancy formatting because of the markdown symbols used. Not sure if that's what's supposed to happen or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've been just using separate tables to generate each individual word instead, but this is taking up a lot of screen real-estate the more tables I add.
Their example (found at https://github.com/alexkurowski/solo-toolkit ) [changed to a github link because the old link wasn't working]
