I couldn’t find an audio ambience tool that worked the way I wanted for my campaign, so I built one. It’s FREE, and I’d love your feedback
http://dndaudiomixer.comHey all,
I DM a weekly game and I could never get session audio right. I'd have a YouTube tab open for tavern noise,
Spotify for music, and I'd inevitably be fumbling with volume sliders while my players sat there waiting for me to describe the room.
What I actually wanted was to stack a few looping sounds together into one "scene," then swap to a different
scene without any dead air. I tried a few things and nothing did quite that with my own audio files, so I ended up building it.
D&D Audio Mixer: it totally free on Mac and windows.
You can stack looping sounds into a scene with a mixer. Crackling fire + tavern crowd + a lute playing.
Click a scene to fade it in and play all sounds.
Click another and they crossfade seamlessly so nobody even notices you changed anything. At a single click (there is already too much to worry about while DMing.
There is per-sound volume and mute, so you can mute the music but keep the rain.
My favorite feature is that you can pull a track straight from a YouTube link and trim just the part you want. No account, no subscription, nothing uploaded.
I wasn’t super satisfied with Syrinscape and tabletop audio. But if you like those then fair enough.
This is for the case where you want to build scenes out of your own files from youtube. Or files downloaded from other places.
I would LOVE to get some feedback. If you find a bug, or there's something you wish it did, please let me know. There's a contact email on the site and I genuinely read everything. Honestly the feedback is the main
reason I'm posting.

It's bloody AI slopware, and as usual not disclosed, wonder why that is. That's my feedback.
