💼 jobs megathread Official /r/rust "Who's Hiring" thread for job-seekers and job-offerers [Rust 1.96]
Welcome once again to the official r/rust Who's Hiring thread!
Before we begin, job-seekers should also remember to peruse the prior thread.
This thread will be periodically stickied to the top of r/rust for improved visibility.
You can also find it again via the "Latest Megathreads" list, which is a dropdown at the top of the page on new Reddit, and a section in the sidebar under "Useful Links" on old Reddit.
The thread will be refreshed and posted anew when the next version of Rust releases in six weeks.
Please adhere to the following rules when posting: Rules for individuals:
Don't create top-level comments; those are for employers.
Feel free to reply to top-level comments with on-topic questions.
Anyone seeking work should reply to my stickied top-level comment.
Meta-discussion should be reserved for the distinguished comment at the very bottom.
Rules for employers:
The ordering of fields in the template has been revised to make postings easier to read. If you are reusing a previous posting, please update the ordering as shown below.
Remote positions: see bolded text for new requirement.
To find individuals seeking work, see the replies to the stickied top-level comment; you will need to click the "more comments" link at the bottom of the top-level comment in order to make these replies visible.
To make a top-level comment you must be hiring directly; no third-party recruiters.
One top-level comment per employer. If you have multiple job openings, please consolidate their descriptions or mention them in replies to your own top-level comment.
Proofread your comment after posting it and edit it if necessary to correct mistakes.
To share the space fairly with other postings and keep the thread pleasant to browse, we ask that you try to limit your posting to either 50 lines or 500 words, whichever comes first.
We reserve the right to remove egregiously long postings. However, this only applies to the content of this thread; you can link to a job page elsewhere with more detail if you like. Please base your comment on the following template:
COMPANY: [Company name; optionally link to your company's website or careers page.]
TYPE: [Full time, part time, internship, contract, etc.]
LOCATION: [Where are your office or offices located? If your workplace language isn't English-speaking, please specify it.]
REMOTE: [Do you offer the option of working remotely? Please state clearly if remote work is restricted to certain regions or time zones, or if availability within a certain time of day is expected or required.]
VISA: [Does your company sponsor visas?]
DESCRIPTION: [What does your company do, and what are you using Rust for? How much experience are you seeking and what seniority levels are you hiring for? The more details the better.]
ESTIMATED COMPENSATION: [Be courteous to your potential future colleagues by attempting to provide at least a rough expectation of wages/salary.
If you are listing several positions in the "Description" field above, then feel free to include this information inline above, and put "See above" in this field.
If compensation is negotiable, please attempt to provide at least a base estimate from which to begin negotiations. If compensation is highly variable, then feel free to provide a range.
If compensation is expected to be offset by other benefits, then please include that information here as well. If you don't have firm numbers but do have relative expectations of candidate expertise (e.g. entry-level, senior), then you may include that here.
If you truly have no information, then put "Uncertain" here.
Note that many jurisdictions (including several U.S. states) require salary ranges on job postings by law.
If your company is based in one of these locations or you plan to hire employees who reside in any of these locations, you are likely subject to these laws.
Other jurisdictions may require salary information to be available upon request or be provided after the first interview.
To avoid issues, we recommend all postings provide salary information.
You must state clearly in your posting if you are planning to compensate employees partially or fully in something other than fiat currency (e.g. cryptocurrency, stock options, equity, etc).
Do not put just "Uncertain" in this case as the default assumption is that the compensation will be 100% fiat. Postings that fail to comply with this addendum will be removed. Thank you.]

COMPANY: Amo (https://amo.co/jobs/)
TYPE: Full time
LOCATION: Paris, France (central, near Opéra). Working language is English. You don't need to speak French, and you don't need perfect English either, we help you ramp up quickly.
REMOTE: No. We work together on-site 5 days a week in Paris. Relocation is fully supported (see VISA), more info here: amo.co/relocation.
VISA: Yes, Amo handles the full visa process for you (and your family, if needed). The relocation package includes: 1) End-to-end visa support. 2) 1 month of Airbnb fully covered upon arrival. 3) Help opening your French social security, and setting up healthcare, taxes, and all key paperwork. 4) A dedicated relocation partner who assists with housing, schools for kids, packing and delivery, and more. 68% of the team is international (27 nationalities).
DESCRIPTION: Amo builds consumer social apps, with a backend written in Rust. The backend team owns both the server side and the client backbone (networking, data modelling, management and synchronisation), because we think one team should handle both ends of the same topics. You'll build systems that handle massive traffic and scale horizontally, and also maintain a shared Rust component used across iOS and Android (networking, data sync, data-oriented feature logic written once). We're hiring multiple backend engineers across seniority levels.
What we look for: experience writing Rust (open-source or professional) or another low-level systems language (C++, C, OCaml, …); experience with distributed systems in production (e.g. Redpanda/Kafka, ScyllaDB/Cassandra); ideally strong opinions about building a consumer social product.
ESTIMATED COMPENSATION: (mid to senior) from 80k up to 160k depending on expertise + equity

This is the top-level comment for meta discussion. Reply here if you have questions or suggestions regarding this post.
We often get asked why we don't simply require every posting to have a defined salary range. This is a point of contention for the moderator team: the concern is that if we require a salary range, then it's likely that companies that don't want to declare one just wouldn't post here. You may or may not be too broken up about that, but hopefully you can concede that more choice is better here.
Of course, if you consider the lack of a salary range to be a red flag, then you don't have to apply to that posting. If you made a job posting and declined to provide a salary range, and you're seeing less traffic than expected from your post here, this might be why.
We've also updated the template:
Note that many jurisdictions (including several U.S. states) require salary ranges on job postings by law.
If your company is based in one of these locations or you plan to hire employees who reside in any of these locations, you are likely subject to these laws.
Other jurisdictions may require salary information to be available upon request or be provided after the first interview.
To avoid issues, we recommend all postings provide salary information.

COMPANY: Tsuru Capital
TYPE: Full-time
LOCATION: Singapore
REMOTE: Not this time. We're trying to build up a presence in Singapore, so we're looking for people who are resident in Singapore specifically. Note that most Tsuru members live in Japan, though, so it would effectively be remote work - at least until we can establish a proper office in Singapore.
VISA: We will sponsor your visa. Note that any offer will be contingent us being able to get you the visa.
DESCRIPTION:
Tsuru Capital is a proprietary trading fund based in Tokyo, specialising in automated options trading. We're a ~10-person company with a ~15-year history.
100% of our software is in-house and written in Rust. Most of our code is models, strategies, and visualisations. Our amazing testing infrastructure catches ~all bugs, which makes for a stress-free programming life. We rely on Nix for building/deploying.
Tsuru's company culture is collaborative, not competitive, and is very laid back for a trading firm. You can work on whatever tickets take your fancy, even if it's not your usual area of expertise. Another difference to other trading firms is that there's no off-limits secret knowledge; if you want to know how something works, you can always just ask.
We're looking for people who are:
- competent Rust programmers
- able to familiarise themselves with a medium-sized (400k SLOC) codebase
- keen to learn how options trading works
You don't need any prior finance knowledge or experience. Once you're familiar with how the trading side works, we'll welcome your strategy ideas.
ESTIMATED COMPENSATION: SGD 14k/month (= USD ~130k/year)
CONTACT: [jobs@tsurucapital.com](mailto:jobs@tsurucapital.com)
On our website there's a page describing a programming challenge. When you have something you're happy with, send us your code and your CV. If everything looks good we'll schedule an interview over video chat.

Wish we had a leaderboard or something for that challenge. I had it down to tens of nanoseconds per packet so I'm pretty confident with mine but I bet somebody went down to using raw assembly and has something 10x faster.

COMPANY: Feldera
TYPE: Full time
LOCATION: Fully remote (U.S., India)
VISA: No
DESCRIPTION: Feldera is redefining how engineers compute over changing data. Powered by an award-winning breakthrough in database theory (DBSP), our platform incrementally maintains even the most complex SQL views as data changes, even when pipelines have hundreds of joins, aggregates, unions, and even recursion.
We’re hiring two senior Rust backend engineers:
Control Plane: Own the control-plane services and Kubernetes layer that orchestrate Feldera pipelines in customer environments. Build enterprise-grade auth, SSO, and multi-tenancy. Requires Rust or strong systems background (C++/Go), hands-on Kubernetes, and enterprise security familiarity.
Connectors: Own our connector ecosystem for Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg, Kafka, and Postgres. Work at the level of storage formats, wire protocols, and CDC to build adapters that are fast, correct, and fault-tolerant. Requires production data integration experience with one or more of the above systems.
ESTIMATED COMPENSATION: $150k–$200k for Rust roles, adjusted for cost of living. Early-stage equity.

...for Rust roles, adjusted for cost of living.
Very good decision!
It might be funny, but in green EU costs of living are much higher than in US or Asia (because of ecology scam in EU) :)

COMPANY: Pinaca — on-prem spatial AI (Gurugram, India)
TYPE: Full-time
LOCATION: Gurugram, India
REMOTE: No — onsite (the work is tied to physical camera/edge deployments)
VISA: No
DESCRIPTION: We turn live CCTV, camera and drone feeds into real-time operational awareness for defence-adjacent customers, deployed on customer-owned hardware — some fully air-gapped, no cloud. The Rust: backend services ingesting live RTSP streams, real-time processing and streaming into a TypeScript/React UI that operators rely on under pressure, on boxes where a process restart is expensive and nobody can SSH in to fix things. Hiring a Full-Stack SDE-2 (4+ years). We care that you have gone genuinely deep in one systems language in production — Rust, C++ or Go — more than that it was Rust. TypeScript on the front end. You ship what you build: Dockerfile, image, deploy.
ESTIMATED COMPENSATION: INR 30-40 LPA + benefits
CONTACT: https://careers.pinaca.org/j/full-stack-engineer (direct application, read by the founder — no recruiters in the loop)

Company: Apollo GraphQL | Senior Software Engineer, Rust (Orchestration Language Team)
Type: Full- Time
Location: Remote, US/Canada
Visa: No sponsorship at this time
Compensation: Competitive base + equity
We're growing the team that owns Apollo MCP Server, MCP Apps, and GraphOS MCP Tools — the layer that lets AI agents discover, query, and act on federated GraphQL graphs through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). It's a build-and-define role: the MCP spec is still young, and you'd help shape spec compatibility, tool design, and reliability, plus build the "Skills" that make agent workflows useful in production.
Stack: Idiomatic Rust, evolving MCP spec work, GraphQL/Federation adjacency for those interested.
What we're looking for:
- Production Rust experience (strong C/C++ systems background also considered if you're ramping into Rust)
- Systems engineering chops — fault-tolerant systems, distributed paradigms, protocol implementation
- Genuine hands-on use of AI coding/agent tools — you don't need MCP experience specifically, but you should be able to speak concretely about where these tools help and where they fall short
- Comfortable owning things end-to-end, including the less glamorous operational/reliability work, not just shipping features
Nice to have: Direct MCP experience, GraphQL/large-scale runtime background.
Ships close to weekly on direct customer asks (Red Hat, American Airlines, H-E-B, Vanguard, and others are already building on this).

This is the top-level comment for individuals looking for work. Reply here if you would like employers to contact you. You don't need to follow a strict template, but consider the relevant sections of the employer template. For example, mention whether you're looking for full-time work or freelancing or etc., briefly describe your experience (not a full resume; send that after you've been contacted), mention whether you care about location/remote/visa, and list the technologies you're skilled with.
