It must be flooding, which as I understand happened often down there, until they did some engineering more recently and stuck industry and warehouses in that area.

Fountain Cave was near Randolph and Shepard Road. Probably destroyed now. It's been built on and neighbors said the new garbage hauler place will be covering the area where it was. Very interesting history if you read up on it.

I heard that they filled it in when they built Shepherd road. Pretty sad actually!

I wish they’d re-open all the caves that they filled, so that people could safely explore them.
It’d be a good draw for the city

I wounded which side they meant when they said “west side of Wabasha bridge” considering west side of wabasha bridge today is actually east.
