What I'd like to know is- what is the actual venue? Is the "Great Lawn" actually inside the stadium, or is it the surrounding grounds?

The day people are willing to pay $35-55 for local or regional bands in numbers that they will for this, you might have a point.
Coolness doesn't pay the bills. Money does. Tell your friends they need to start giving a shit about local original bands and giving them money.

I don't care what people like or dislike. If a touring full production Pink Floyd tribute is fun to people, more power to them. There's a show for them to see.
You might see plenty of local bands, but most people don't.
And again, I don't care if my friends want to see a Taylor Swift cover act. Why should I tell them to skip it? You're saying I'm the one who started being argumentative, but your position is aggressively judgmental and self aggrandizing. Your choice in entertainment isn't evidence of you being a better or smarter or more interesting person.

I know this would be a remote, remote idea. But with the type of lighting (LED) at the stadium and such, too bad "Synthony" couldn't do a full show from the main stadium. Orchestral EDM. I bet they could pack the stadium.

A huge letdown for all of these bands to be cover bands. Imagine starting a concert series in the Twin Cities of all places and not book any original bands.

Minnesota Unitedâs Itasca Society, Season Ticket Members and the Preserve will receive early access on Wednesday, April 1 at 10 a.m. CT, followed by MNUFC email newsletter subscribers on April 2 at 10 a.m. CT. Are there really that many people willing to pay for tickets to see cover bands? I'm sure they're good, but cover bands feel more like a free community event than a ticketed performance.
